The thing with Apple is they tend to research technology and mature it before officially introducing it to their products. Samsung and by extension Android have so many phones they can afford to experiment with different gimmicks because well, if one doesn’t work they just discontinue it. Can apple offer more diversity across devices? Of course, but then it would take away from developing their flagship devices. Not fan boying for Apple, just stating a marketing fact.
well, it seems here $2000 is no longer top dollar, $3100 is 🤣 if the average person interested in foldables were willing to pay that much two years ago on pretty recent folding technology i'm sure samsung would've made a full spec folding phone, but it's really going to cost so much only a handful of people would buy it, making it less profitable to even set up manufacturing in the US or other countries outside of South Korea
Only the main camera was improved. It also still has the smallest battery in any Fold. Also, comparing the crease when it hasn't even been used and broken in yet is beyond misleading and pointless.

Yea, when my f3 was new the crease was about that invisible aswell. You just forget that with use. Same with the snappyness. My f3 would initially not even close without force beyond that of the integrated magnets.

Samsung needs two versions of the fold. An ultra version with a more traditional front screen ratio and a regular fold 6 size screen for those like me who chose the fold over ultra series phones SPECIFICALLY because of the one-handed use.
From the leaks that have come out, this will basically be the design of the Fold 7. Im on my Fold 4, and I'm still waiting for the 7. If this is the design with better cameras and the Sanpdragon Elite, I'll be buying it on day 1.

If this released in Canada, I would have bought it. Design they finally caught up to the chinese foldables, and the camera is finally not a downgrade from the ultras, which is important because my cats are very cute. I was going to buy a S25 ultra this year, but now I think ill hold out for the fold7 and hope they dont drop the ball
The SE chassis is exactly what we wanted for the fold 6, but we now need the 7 or 8 to have that chassis and Spen on cover and inner screen. I love my fold 6. First fold. Fully worth it. Also best phone for trips, family what's app video and searching for houses/apartments

The topic is a corporate war. When Huawei announced the dual-hinge Fold, Samsung felt that the rug might be pulled out from under it. It moved and showed the Fold Special Edition. It has a solution to all the problems, but because it does not see a threat to its sales,They are slow in their improvements, but as soon as they are threatened, their products will improve.
Not legitimizing the special edition's price but if it has 1 tb or more storage that's 400-500$ there comparing to other phone brands. Also screen size is similar to iphone pro vs pro max difference so there goes extra 200$.
i find it weird the first thing you mentioned is the crease, if you think about it. Is this not normal that the crease is less visible since it has not been used yet enough to get the crease? can you elaborate, im not that familiar on the crease during usage after months. Watching on my SE. Samsung did us dirty. I bought the Fold 6 and sold it to import the SE 🤷🏾♂️. Very happy with my inconvenient purchase lol... thing is epic! So much thinner than the 6, most ppl can't even tell it's a fold.
I love my Z-Fold 4, and yes, I still have a 4 because I'm not willing to pay $2,000 for a phone, let alone $3,000, that would be a deal breaker for me. Another deal breaker, no S-Pen. I actually use the pen and always looking for more ways to use it. I mean Samsung has a good product here, there aren't too many ways to improve on it, just as other manufacturers are having having trouble improving on theirs. I don't see that much of an upgrade with the SE to warrant an additional $1,000+ on the price tag.

The stylus is an extremely needed thing on a fold phone, especially the high end ones, I’ll never ever consider a foldable phone without a stylus support
Pretty much every single folding phone I've seen will have a crease with use. Out of the box means nothing. Use that phone for a year and show it after being used. While it's getting better, still not there. Regardless the competition is what is driving these to improve faster. Love it. Now I wish they'd do the same with EVs lol.

It was imported so it's not really the actual pricing. The price of this in South Korea was about 2.8M KRW which is about 2000 USD.
This is a bit bleeding edge... it's like a preview what the normal folds will be in 2 or 3 years.

The reason you don't get spen or hidden display and the crease is diminished is they are simplifying the screen
