Astral'o Pithecus thanks so much for noticing! Sometimes it takes me hours to find the right track... I tried for my next movie something new (for me). I combined music with the working sounds. Edit: and I’m very happy I brought good energy too ;)
Depends what your are going for. Also depends how much you can extend your camera. I like 150-200mm for portraits. But that is my taste. Landscapes are a different story and also depends on taste.
tubelator I have a very good contact that has lot great lenses to sell. Often he has cameras too. The good thing is, that he shoots wet plates too. So he knows what he is selling. If you like, contact me on my socials or on my website
Perhaps cut a piece of lens paper to protect the front element from the glue? Thanks for the video, it was helpful. I have made some caps for large format lenses from just cardboard balsa is a good idea.
gsrox2007 I totally agree, but not everybody has a lathe. Cardboard and balsa wood is available to everybody very easily, that’s why I chose this materials. Also the work time for 4 caps was less then 30 minutes. Edit: if you check my blog post, I recommend a guy who builds high end ones ;)
Great job with the music. Very few RUclipsrs use proper electronic music, and this tech house track really put me into a good mood. Thank you :)

Where do you get the lenses? I'm starting with wetplate soon, first need a good 300mm+ lens and a 8x10 camera!

Dwight Brown thanks for the idea! Makes sense to protect the lens. Happy I could help.
Brass pipe, brass sheet and an hour at the lathe should deliver much higher quality caps.

tubelator this is another great idea! I chose this way, because I thought a lot of people have most of the tools.
