Hi Josh, Thank you so much for your video. Both husband and I were happy with the outcome except that we were inpatient by removing the tape of the Fujitsu label while waiting for the primer to dry. We didn't like the fact the yellowish stood out and decided to spray the primer once again but we made the mistake by over spraying because we could see the wording. We were going so well until we realised the paint had dripped. I'm now waiting for the primer to dry and hope when the top coat is applied it won't be as noticable. Looking forward for more videos.
Hey Josh. Great video! Can I ask what sheen you used here? Was it the full gloss or semi gloss l? Any reason why you used Duramax instead of Rust oleum? Cheers!
YES he would of.. I thought exactly the same, BUT one can simply remove that front panel.. they clip in at the top, tape the coil up and spray that panel on a desk.. ALWAYS ISOLATE THE UNIT ... Switch the elec off !!! other then that .. easy..
Did you cover the inside parts to protect the mechanical function? When I remove my filters, the inner workings would get covered in paint as well… advice?
Hello Josh , thanks for this . I am wondering if I can use a brushed on top coat to get the colour I want because sprays don’t come in vast array if colours . If I can how would you go about it ?
Most paint stores have a little spray kit that you can use for custom colors. You buy the paint like you would for a brush and then put it in this hand pump spray bottle and then you basically have a spray can in your color.
WTF dude .. brilliant idear dude.. I ones had a client ask me to paint there aircon and I though no way. Thinking about it now why not. Thanks for the education yet again brother love ya work.
@@paintingbyjosh Thanks for replying! Yes indeed, I am thinking of a small size roller with water based paint in white, not brush as it will leave lines. Will it work or oil based paint is preferred?
@@paintingbyjosh That is true, Josh. I thought that roller wouldnt be messy over spraying. My painting works are already done but I realized I missed my aircon only after watching your great video.
Did mine josh I’m as anal as they come so expected the worse,I painted walls white and duri max spay flat white I used same colour as wall so in the end better then new as same colour as wall , this video works it’s very very good . I only tried thinking I’ll bin anyway. It’s that good I would do near new if slightly yellow aircon after 2/3 years Cheers
Hi Mark, appreciate the message and watching on. Stoked you achieved a finish you are happy with definitely saves on buying new Aircon if it only discoloured 💯
What a nice difference, many thanks
So much fresher mate, cheers🙏

Thank you brother means the world 🙏🤙
How about painting for the outdoor unit?
Hi Josh, is the spray paint you use durimax gloss or satin?
Awsome vid mate! Cheers!!
Cheers legend I appreciate it 💯🙏
Hi. Do the parts get stuck after paint dries? I’m always a read that moving parts will stick dry
Thank you.
Interesting, and here I thought I'd have to take it apart and dip, well if I can do it that way I will much faster
Hi Mathew, this is definitely the quickest & easiest way to get it looking new. Cheers for watching 🙌
Hi,
Thanks for this. Question how do you get the spray paint not to result in a dripping when dry look. Thanks
Want to paint my mini split black!
Same process, different colour brother. JUST DO IT!
@WeirdAussieGirlI'mMyOwnAlchemist unfortunately I don't I will see what I can do👍
Legend 🤘🏻
Likewise mate🙏🤙
You are not located in Perth by any chance and interested in doing one in a property that will go on the market??

How can i remove sprey paint from side that didn't applied right? Is there a way to remove it?
Did you spray coils?
YES he would of.. I thought exactly the same, BUT one can simply remove that front panel.. they clip in at the top, tape the coil up and spray that panel on a desk.. ALWAYS ISOLATE THE UNIT ... Switch the elec off !!! other then that .. easy..
Looks great, will it not break the Aircon? I presume paint's particles will go deep inside 🤔
Thank you, I have painted many over the years never heard of one breaking from spraying. Not sure possibly how it could happen.
Is it an old old fujitsu
General air-conditioner because I used to have one
Haha I bet it doesn't look as good as mine 😂
Did you cover the inside parts to protect the mechanical function? When I remove my filters, the inner workings would get covered in paint as well… advice?
Just remove the filter's and replace with cardboard cut to the same shape as the filter's spray out and saves any over spray going on the aircon 🙏
U and I know u didn't show what you're saying now in ur video sometimes if people learn from ur videos they'll spoil their gadgets

Great, thanks for sharing! No sanding required by the looks of it?
If it's in good condition, you can avoid sanding. If you're unsure, give it a light sand to help with adhesion 🙌🏼

Can I paint over instead of using spray paint?
Are you saying paint with a brush?
@@paintingbyjosh Thanks for replying! Yes indeed, I am thinking of a small size roller with water based paint in white, not brush as it will leave lines. Will it work or oil based paint is preferred?
@@whizkid4690 can I ask the reason you wouldn't use a pressure pack? You Just wouldn't get a factory finish with a roller!
@@paintingbyjosh That is true, Josh. I thought that roller wouldnt be messy over spraying. My painting works are already done but I realized I missed my aircon only after watching your great video.
@@whizkid4690 spraying definitely would be a better solution getting into all the blades would be tricky without spray👍

Isn't the paint getting into the guts of the aircon?
Like new.
That's what we aim for 💯 thank you 🙏
what does 50% overlap mean?
Each time you spray, you want to overlap your last spray-pass by 50%. That way the paint blends in as you're spraying 🔥
Why don’t you remove the covers isn’t that better because paint aerosol are probably bad it they get inside
Can’t understand a word,
Hi Josh, is the spray paint you use durimax gloss or satin?
@@EmilyHall-x3y Hi Emily, I like to use the satin finish 🙌
