- New setup, custom 2.5" axle-back with staggered 3.5" tips and a 12" Vibrant muffler. This one is a little more mellow than the Pierce Motorsports unit. Main reason for switching was the tip size/placement and addition of the small muffler.
Please keep in mind this was filmed with a Samsung Galaxy S4 and it was little windy at the time.
Bless your soul for being able to use an S4 in 2018! Do you think getting the premium package/Infinity audio is worth the cost?
banstaman I'm one of those people that thinks cell phones & plans these days are overpriced so I stick with cheap phones and pre-paid. :)
As far as the Premium Package goes, can't say. Mine does not have that package.
Completely understandable, I just don't know how you deal with the lag of an S4 in 2018! How is the standard stereo in that case?
RS1 I assume you mean Tork Motorsports and I will not be purchasing anything from them. When tune time comes, I am going with Lap3. Not a fan of the pops and crackles anyway.
banstaman It is a bit laggy and I do plan on upgrading but car parts are more important right now lol. As far as the stock base speakers, it's fine for me. A lot better than my Forte Koup. I do plan on upgrading and putting an 8" sub in the rear shelf where the premium one would sit, but that's a ways out.
Hyundai has really outdone themselves on their new sports cars recently. That stock exhaust alone just sounds fantastic and those crackles and pops, ahh beautiful.

Strangely enough, I actually like the stock sound better. I love the way my Elantra sounds from the outside but I wish I could hear it inside the cabin when I'm driving, it's too quiet sometimes.

I love my stock exhaust too. I think aftermarket exhausts just make it sound like everything else tbh. I’m just gonna get an ECU tune, Indy 500’s and hks spark plugs

thanks for uploading, I was thinking of doing the same thing vibrant custom exhaust, mainly because I want to have better exhaust flow for more power with the tune I have, and I didn't want it to be louder than stock exhaust 👍👍👍💪💪

@Jason M. I like that full width high mount brake light led bar you have! Where did you get that? How much did it cost? How hard was it to install? It's a little thing, minor irritant, but I cant believe they stuck with a regular incandescent bulb for the high mount stop light in the back window of my 2018 Elantra Spirt and want to get something more fitting and up to date to replace it. Any info on that stop light bar you can pass on would be greatly appreciated!

I just got a 2019 Elantra, and it's great but I feel like the stock exhaust isn't letting enough air through especially in sports mode, it's delayed between actually moving and pressing the gas, but still can get up and go and even better in sports mode...maybe it's just me but my last car was old and half the stuff didn't work so I'm glad it's way better obviously.
If you are talking about a delay when you move from a stop, that's the transmission. DCT is an automated manual so it takes a second to engage the clutches. It's not like a normal automatic.

Hey bud, I've got a 2018 elantra sport, I love the sound of your exhaust. Is it at all possible for you to share what exactly you had did to obtain such a nice sound. I was at the shop yesterday and he said best way for me to get the same sound is to use the same parts
It's going to depend on which version you want. I had more work done after posting this video, so it sounds different. For this one, just a custom axleback with a Vibrant bottle resonator. Rest was stock.

Both spoilers came from Albert Hwang. He is based in South Korea and can be found on facebook. There is no website, he sells based on word of mouth and he gets a lot of it because he's great at what he does. You'll have to look him up there.

Is this a lot louder than stock? I want something in between stock and a muffler delete and this is the exact set up I was thinking
If you want something in the middle just add a small muffler to it. Either this setup, or something offered pre-built. I am actually changing this setup out soon for a Jun B.L. axleback which comes with a small muffler.
j-Tube thanks! I was looking at the Jun BL today but the shipping costs are insane. The pierce and sxth full muffler delete are a little too loud for my taste.
@@devn3813 You can order the SXTH with a muffler but when you do you are already past the price of the Jun BL. (I just paid $504 shipped from eBay) So if you are looking to spend a bit less than that, I think custom is your only option.

It's just a 12" Vibrant resonator. Piping was custom. Had it done at a local guy's house that does work on the side. Not sure if he wants me handing his info out to everyone.
Reminds me of the Pierce still. Not a bad thing. But I assume this is SS?
Tips and muffler are stainless, the rest is not. Not worried about rust, I live in the desert where it hasn't rained in months lol.

I think the muffler removed what the Pierce unit gave in regards to pops. But I'm fine with that.
Considering getting a 17-18 ES. Can you give me an honest opinion of the reliability on these 1.6t engines? I don't plan to tune maybe just exhaust and bov. I plan to daily drive 150k or more. I can't seem to find any real feedback on these 2 year models in terms of issues and reliability.
Engine reliability good if you keep up with maintenance. 6MT reliability good. DCT is hit or miss. I recently got rid of this car and the new owner turned over 90k miles on his way home. Had a cooling fan motor replaced under warranty once and it was rock solid otherwise.

Can't find my first reply to edit it... was wondering bout the springs, just springs? no shocks etc...? If so how do you like'em? Body roll that kinda thing, I know you also have bars on it. thx 4 any help.
At the time this was filmed, Storm Springs on stock shocks/struts. Still had some body roll but it was better. The SXTH rear sway bar certainly helps with rotation in the rear but doesn't do much for roll. Car is now on Yellowspeed Racing coilovers.

No I sold the Pierce unit and went full custom with new piping.

How did you wire the led roof spoiler and run the wiring. In talks with Albert now but he doesn't know how to do it
Followed the included instructions. It's mostly in Korean but easy to follow photos.

No idea, can't help you there. Never lived in a state with inspections.

Custom. The tips came from eBay, the muffler from Amazon, and I had a friend weld it up.
