Thank you Steve, for talking plainly so I could understand what you are talking about, and not jumping all over the place as some do. I almost gave up trying to find out how to use the Flash Drive. My Daughter always done this for me, she died in 2018, so I am learning to do this my self. Being 74 years old, it was not easy finding this information. You are an Angel and a Blessing. Thank you so much!
I have a friend who isn't very well-versed with technology/computers, and asked me to write him an email with instructions on how to use a USB drive. Virtually every grueling detail I was dreading having to verbalize is covered fantastically well in this video. Thank you very much, GuruBrew, for respecting that there are still users who need every detail meticulously spelled out.
It is refreshing to have explanations with a good background overview and which do not assume that the learner/Luddite is familiar with the terminology or device. Completely free of condescension too. You did a good job. Thank you!
Eight years later and your video is still giving Steve. You could not have explained any clearer Steve especially for a numpty like me. Thanks & Stay safe Ted
You made this so much easier to understand with such great explanations and not talking so darn fast that you have to rewind several times. I love your calmness. Really helped me out. Thanks
Simple explanation which is why I liked it. I’m just learning about how to store the 1000’s of photos etc taken of my kids and grandchildren (11]. Thanks for well done presentation for a beginner.
Thank you! Just like another posting to you I am a mature lady of 64. Now I have two towers and two laptops and am finding out all the amazing things I can do. I am an Artist for 38 years and have made a great living this way. Using this technology for manipulation of my product is Trippy( Not including security cameras and 3D printing ) ! I was thinking I needed a disk player on my new tower but after seeing you I don't! I appreciate you...many thanks!
Thanks! This helps an old girl like me understand USB Flash Drives a little better! I am 71 yrs old (young) and every day is a learning process! Thanks for helping out!
This could have been my comment. I too am 71 and this helped me soooo much. Steve really went back to basics and taught me alot. I am glad Ms Young learned it too. Kinda makes me think maybe I am not the only one around that doesn't know computers very well. This is Wanda Crago and I really want to thank each and every one of the crew on Guru
Love you patient calm method of teaching. I am 74 years old trying to get in tune with today's communication world, thank you so much, didn't know this kind of help existed, Praise God.
Finally, a how to video with clear audio (I have a hearing problem) and video. As previously stated, this was clear and concise. I will be back in the future for other computer topics, I am sure
I just started college and am not all that computer savvy. Of course, today's college experience is all about knowing how to use computers. My first 3 classes are, pretty much, all about getting comfortable with using computers and unfamiliar software (like Canvas) and one of my first assignments requires my being able to put my school work on a flash drive (which I have NEVER done). Your video makes it look pretty darned easy! Thank you!!!
I've watched several videos while learning to use a computer, but your video is very well done. I actually understood it the first time I watched!!! Thank you
Hi Steve I truly enjoyed this video. I am a Mac user now but I get the idea. I have never used my thumb no now it is called Flash drive but I am learning from all you great people who put video's out there for us to watch and learn. I love youtube video's only problem I have is some people do not keep the camera on what the hands are doing and then I cannot see what I need to know. I followed you though. I hope you have more for me to watch. Wish all your video's were shown together so I don't have to hunt for them. Keep up the good work - 72 year old people enjoy learning from you younger ones. Just Judy
Hi Judy, thanks for the kind words. You can go to my channel here ruclips.net/user/GuruBrew and find all my videos there. Also when you are there, click on the subscribe button to be informed by email when I make a new video.
Very appreciative of the hands on down to earth explanation and screen explanation. As Linda S. commented, better than trying to have my son explain. Thanks!
Well done my friend. Steve, through the years on RUclips and other informative sites I've listened to many instructors on how to's? Not to take away from some of them, but you pal stand alone from them all ! A true gift you have to give back to others. Your calm and cool thoroughness of explaining is spot on. Without confusion of any sort. And for that ! Even though reading all of these comments of mutual feelings on your teaching skills. I have to put my 2 cents in. And for that I give you a At ta Boy, My Man, and a pat on the back! As a reminder well done Sir. And if are paths should cross one day. You got a Brew or 2 on me! Thanks, Peace & Rock n' Roll !
Hi - Thank you for a very easy to understood delivery for someone who is new to this and in their late 60's. Excellent teaching and very clear. Will be checking out your videos regularly, when I want to learn something. All the way from Queensland, Australia.
Very good. Helpful. I've used computers since they came out! Original floppies, hard floppies, CD's, and now flash drives. Thanks for helping me keep up.
I found this video very helpful. I've had friends saving things on my flash drive for me but I really didn't understand what to do with it once I viewed it in my computer. Now I understand how to transfer it, move it to the desktop and delete it if I no longer need it. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks for the information. I like the way you spoke so clearly and slowly. I've got too much stuff on my computer, so I'll store a lot of the seldom used stuff in USB Drives. I understand I can always use it to access what's been stored. I've never handled one before, but I have the confidence that it'll work out.
Steve, This is my first time at your site and I'm impressed by your thoroughness. Thanks so much for keeping it in an English I can understand and for going over the process step by step. Keep up the excellent work.
Hi Steve. I was wondering if I could click/drag/save youtube videos directly on the flash drive? To be used on the same laptop computer. So for example I copy this video onto a flash drive and bring my laptop to my friends to play it.
Thank you Steve at GuruBrew. You presented this "how-to" video in a pleasant concise manner. Even if I knew something already, it was good that you explained every part of this procedure. I'm so glad that I searched through all of the worthless videos to find this one. Good job.
I've been watching your channel all day. Refreshed my memory plenty, but the best was this video about the flash drives, about which I've wondered every time I have gone grocery shopping or picked up a script at the pharmacy. Thank you.
thanks, I was feeling the demo was kind-of slow, but with patience, I found your explanation simply genius ! Although the history was when I wanted to find a quick education for the specific question of How to get files in and out of my pc. Sooo thank you, it was great
thankyou, I am an older, no longer working person, and throwing myself into this wonderful world of electronics. My first electronic device was given to me for Christmas, I was 8 years old and it was a reel to reel recorder, so nice and slow we go!
STEVE THIS IS MY VERY FIRST TIME WATCHING YOUR VIDEO CUZ I'M NEW TO ALL THIS MYSELF AM 66 AND WANT TO LEARN AS MUCH AS I CAN AGAIN YOU'LL BE MY NUMBER ONE LEADER.. THANKS CHIEF
ty you so much for sharing this info. I like that you didn't talk fast. this helps to stay the course with your helpful tutorial on USB Flash Drive Beginners Guide
I only needed to watch this one time to get it. Thanks for the easy to understand explanation without a bunch of other off topic crap I didn't want or need to know. MB
I found your video moments after trawling text sites for basic advice on using a stick to transfer stuff from my current laptop to a new one I'm about to get. I didn't get straight answers/info from those sites but having watched your clip I have all my questions answered by your good self. I'm definitely no techie but I'm confident enough now to go ahead and buy a stick. Thanks very much indeed for being so clear and easy to understand. Cheers.
I must say this is very interesting and very helpful. I like using flash drives they are very easy to store or hold your files. Awesome video because he is explaining step by step.
your presentation of teaching me to use the flash drive was excellent. visual was great. verbally - what I found most helpful you didn't speak rapidly to move through your presentation quickly. You correlated your voice with your visual presentation to the point I was able to keep up. Your articulation and speed of your voice was excellent. cuddos to you ! I will continue to refer to your teaching videos .
Thanks Steve, your clear presentation makes me realise that I am not quite as stupid as I first thought - a great relief. Two questions though. Can any modern USB Flash Drives work on my Dell Inspiron 530 computer, and would you advise going for two 64Go FDs or one 128Go FD drive,to store data, Many thanks, and keep up the good work
Thank you-you explained that so well! Even my friends/relatives who I thought would know what I was talking about either had no time to reply (had LOTS of snow last night-they are all moving snow this morning!) or had no clue what I meant???? Thanks again!
Liked the video. Taking classes on line, switching to a new computer and need to save info and transfer. I am a real newbie and need lots of help. Thanks for the info.
Just watched your video on USB Flash Drive and for a tech. challenged person, it was an eye opener. (I am going to review your other videos-very informative!)
A very easy explanation for us technophobes! What a pleasant gentleman, a pleasure to listen to. Will try to find more from him and maybe learn something, lol! Thank you.
Dear Steve, Thank you so much for your very informative video. I really like your explanation on the progression of storing info. Floppy disc, Zip drive, ....etc. This makes sense to me and helps me to better understand
Thank you for showing me how to use a usb memory stick. my Granddaughter was always going to show me, but now she is a senior in high school and doesn't have a lot time for old Grandma. thanks again and take care.
Thank you so much. My laptop is trying to die & I want to make sure I have everything backed up. Your video has been easy to follow and very informative.
Very helpful, thank you. One question though, can videos be played from the flash drive or do they have to be put back on the computer first? I use external drives for both back up and for additional storage and can play videos right from the drive.
thanks i "m new to uploading things from a flash drive and don't use a computer much , and since trying to find a job these days is ALL online, I learned something
Another good tip that I use is Renaming the USB stick, like `Steve`s File Cabinet` then in the future when you want to save an item there`s no confusion on which Drive you want to save it too as Steve`s File Cabinet will appear in the list of Drives, sometimes people get confused over all the Drive letters i.e C. D.E.F Drive etc.
Very good tutorial. I am computer illiterate and have had this flash drive for about a year not knowing how to use it. Now I do and I thank you very much.
Thorough. Spoke slowly. Very helpful. One question: Can I copy several files at one time? If yes, do I click for each file, or move them all and then click? Thank you! Now . . . to give it a try.
great video easy to follow and understand Thanks as someone that has no knowledge of how to do these things it was very easy to understand and your slow approach in explaining the process was a great help
Thank you, I have to remove all the data from my computer because I am installing 8.1. I had no idea what a flashdrive was so I am looking forward to giving it a try. I miss the disk (easier to keep track of). You seem to be a good instructer. I look forward to other classes you have. Sincerely bk mcl
Yes, it was informative and you do a good job presenting; vocal tone is even and you consistently make eye contact back to the viewer. I must admit that I'm one of those people who know enough about technology to sometimes get myself into trouble. Because of that, I have purchased flash drives that I thought were a good deal but didn't know quite where to go from there. So, on saying that, I have a 32GB Sand Disk flash drive that I would like to use on my Chromebook. How much data can this substantially hold and what is the duration of the product? More than or less than 10 years? One more question. How do you suggest moving data from your older flash drive safely to a newer one? Thanks in advance and again, thank you for your wonderful how to video. You've just earned a follower.
Nice infomercial Steve, I appreciate your not adding distracting music. I have a suggestions, how about showing your audience how to download music from their Windows Media Player on to their USB drive. Absolutely first rate. Your presentation instructs at our level of competence and never tries to impress us with your obvious expertise. Bravo!

Extremely useful! I was pretty clueless. Now, I feel confident using the drive. Thanks!!
so was I
A perfect demo. Simply presented, straight forward and thoroughly informative.
Couldn't ask for a better tutorial.

Thank you for your clear detailed description of how to use the Cruzer. It was most helpful to this person who is not a GURU.
So glad that you made this very understandable video. I feel able to use my usb flash drive for saving my pictures. Great job. Thank you.
I only needed to watch this one time to get it. Thanks for the easy to understand explanation without a bunch of other off topic crap I didn't want or need to know. MB

First time to watch one of your videos. Very easy to understand...thank you!!
Just watched your video on USB Flash Drive and for a tech. challenged person, it was an eye opener. (I am going to review your other videos-very informative!)

Thank you....sooooo much....I am really glad that there are people like you who share your knowledge with us , THE OLDER GENERATION! LOL!
I just got my first thumb drive. It had no instructions so you were a godsend.
Oh are you good!!! Going to try it now. Have been trying all day to get the 'thing' to work. Thanks for making this video.
Love your video. It's clear speaking, precise and easy to understand. It's clear that you are very knowledgeable. Thank you very much
Excellent presentation. I'll be back. Love the way you did this
Dear Steve, Thank you so much for your very informative video. I really like your explanation on the progression of storing info. Floppy disc, Zip drive, ....etc. This makes sense to me and helps me to better understand
Steve, you are wonderful! Thank you so much! With noone around, I depend on your good videos!
id just like to say im new to all this stuff ,but wow u really explain things clearly ,id recommend your page to anyone thankx
I'm an old newbie at this. Thanks for the instruction. It makes sense. Now let's see whether I can do it.
Thank you for showing me how to use a usb memory stick. my Granddaughter was always going to show me, but now she is a senior in high school and doesn't have a lot time for old Grandma. thanks again and take care.
Thankyou Steve this is a whole new world of enjoyment for me. Who wouda thunk it would be so easy!
Nice presentation. Appreciate your taking the time. Was looking more for music downloads from online sites to flash however. Thanks again.
Finally someone talked in a language I could understand. Thank you, thank you!!!!!
thanks i "m new to uploading things from a flash drive and don't use a computer much , and since trying to find a job these days is ALL online, I learned something
Very informative and you did a great job explaining this process, thanks!
I have been wondering how to delete the data when you are done with it. You explained it very clear and well.
Thank you. You made this so simple to understand, especially for me when you used a floppy disk...then it all made sense!
Another awesome video by the (Guru of Tech) super clear, concise, and awesome award winning camera work Thanks !!!!
Very good tutorial. I am computer illiterate and have had this flash drive for about a year not knowing how to use it. Now I do and I thank you very much.
Very simple presentation on USB flash drive use and easy to digest and apply in daily usesage.
Hi Steve...Thank you making this video. You were a Big Help! Excellent Job!
This video really helped out. I haven't had to save any documents since 2002 when we had the hard floppy disk. Thanks you!
Really straightforward and easy to understand. Thank you 😊
Nice infomercial Steve, I appreciate your not adding distracting music.
I have a suggestions, how about showing your audience how to download music from their Windows Media Player on to their USB drive. I DJ a local Jazz show and have tried (I believe) all I can do, but the disc player keeps reading error. It will only play one song loaded on the USB drive. Any suggestions?
Loved the video. Very helpful to someone who can barely turn a computer on
Awesome!! I love learning new stuff everyday. I just bought a new computer and your vids are a great help! Thx!!
Thank you so much for making sense of this to me
I very much appreciate it. You made it simple enough for me to understand!
Thankyou. After watching your video, I feel confident enough to go and try it. It was clear and concise. Great stuff.
