My compliments to you guys. Most authentic FSD video ever. Very enjoyable. Your two boys are very bright and lucky to have such good mom and dad. Pleasure to be apart of big day with your cybertruck.
Follow distance was removed from FSD and only available in autopilot. Also since the front is flat and hard to see the hood it's actually not as close as it feels. Thanks for the video.
That was great! Hi from just outside Cape Town, South Africa. I am still amazed every time I see (experience it as if I'm a passenger). I am nearly 65, stroke victim, lost a leg so I'm using a WC. I last drove a car10+ years ago; did not even try to update my divers license - makes me feeling so damn useless ... BUT NOT ANYMORE ... Theoretically when Tesla comes to SA (read that the process started, wow!). I can't wait - maybe even me will be able to go visit my friends/family and the school where I used to teach. Last seen my (high)school/place of work in Sept 2010 (when I suffered my stroke). Off course these cars are outside of my fin means, eish! I will be enjoying the truck with you guys, so don't forget about the African in the car, salute heheheeee 🙋🏾♂
This randomly came up on my feed this morning. I grew up partially in Plant City for 7 years and occasionally come back to visit close family friends. I've had a CT reservation since 2020 but I'm holding off until the non-Foundation series comes out.
Remember to just say vigilante. There’s some quirks with it on CT. Big part of using it is just to know it’s going to drive differently than you. But if you aren’t comfortable with a decision don’t feel like you can’t disengage. Don’t risk your $100k truck :P (my plaid tried to hit a car last week)
Awesome video and you guys are funny. But FYI if you set the autopilot profile to chill, it will try to keep more distance between the car in front of you. in the model y you can do this by pushing the right scroll wheel left or right, not sure if it's different in the Cybertruck. also since this is the first version on Cybertruck, they'll probably fix things like that over the next few updates as they collect data. hard braking will probably be fixed too
Looking forward to them adding an option to park at the destination. Or drop you the door and then just parking itself (that would require regulatory approval of course)
It shouldn't be far off from being able to park itself. Elon calls this feature "Banish Autopark." He said in May 2024 that it should be coming soon. His timelines are usually delayed. I'd imagine a realistic timeframe is probably sometime mid-2025. It already has Actual Smart Summon, so it can pick you up at the front door of a store. Parking would be fundamentally the same process just in reverse. I don't see why this would need additional regulation. Would probably just require you to watch its camera feed from your phone like it does with Actual Smart Summon. The wonderful thing about this iterative design process is that its only going to get better faster from here.
@@kungfoochicken08 well, that takes away a lot of the convenience (holding a button on your phone ). The ideal is drop off, park and then coming to pick you up, if it could pick you up when it saw you, that would be awesome too. Banish and ASS are pretty awesome even without the need to supervise.
@@sean_haz Yeah, the holding your finger on the button isn’t a permanent feature. ASS just launched, so I’m sure they want to get a bunch of miles of data on its reliability before they let people just press a button and walk outside. Holding your finger on the button is the easiest way for them to ensure you’re paying attention to the car and the cameras. I could easily see an update coming where they’re using the camera on your phone to make sure you’re watching the screen. My old Galaxy 20 had a feature like this that would keep the screen awake as long as it saw you were watching the phone. Apple uses a similar feature to only use FaceID if you’re looking at the screen. You can already tell it to go to a target location after it drops you off. The only thing left to do is to integrate autopark into that function. I’d expect these features in the next year or so, but Tesla’s development team can be a bit erratic. ASS took much longer to develop than I thought it would, and they lingered on trying to patch Smart Summon much longer than I thought they would.
Good question with auto piloting…. Could the younger child be taught and drive? Kids are more tech savvy this days. You keyed in designation- is it voice activated - yet?
It's even better on highways. It's near perfect on highways. There's just a lot less going on and highways are much more uniform across the country, so there's more relevant training data.
Hey David, I’ve been following your content about the Cybertruck, and it's amazing! 😆 Most truck owners would be fine in a small SUV like a Rav4 or a Forrester. When I started as a general contractor, I got by with a Ford Fiesta with a tow hitch. Anything that weighed more than 800lbs and wouldn't fit on a small trailer behind my car was just delivered to the jobsite by the supply house. I got by like that for years before I upgraded. 90% of trucks are owned by suburban dads who "need" a truck to pick up Facebook Marketplace furniture once a year.
Oh, look, the "I'm upset that I see someone who purchased a vehicle that they bought with their own hard-earned money without asking me for my 100% accurate, unbiased, and definitely not because I'm jealous/sad/mad or had a bad day opinion" person... 🤣
@@Swole_Gecko I think I have a right to be pissed off at pickup truck owners when they're making the roads more dangerous for everyone with their massive trucks and their massive blindspots. If you don't believe me look up frontover accidents.

Congratulations man, you have a great family! God bless!
Cool video of a family's first ride in FSD. All the anxiety included 😂
Nice to see a family enjoy the new family “car”, and not more tech-bro’s, reviewers, etc.
Wow I like it! Awesome car and nice family 😎👍
Time capsule for your family. Imagine what it will be like in 20 years. Thanks for taking us along. BTW I need some milk and eggs if you don't mind. ☺

Thank you for sharing!!
Great video and Sweet family.
Thx for sharing. FSD v12.5.5 is a MAJOR upgrade. Most excellent!
Very cool to see you and your familys first trip together. Cant wait for my first fsd trip
This is great.. get to hear the entire family's reaction. I subscribed hoping to see more FSD content. Thanks!
Great video showing all the features.
Nice, watching from Uganda. These cars really fascinate me
Amazing video, love the reactions hahaha

Thanks for sharing this very "uman" first FSD 12.5.5 family trip with all the awesome comments from the whole family. Greetings from Vancouver, Canada

You can change distance between cars using the scroll wheel
Nice. Watching from Uganda. Here we don't have self driving yet but we have many goats and donkeys that you can use for transport
This is cool
Year or two and it'll save a lot of lives on the road
Is it that close? The front of the cyber truck is short
You could choose ‘Average or Assertive’ under full self driving options if you don’t want car to be too close just fyi.
i am the kid in the video it does not show it we dont know why
so funny 😂😂 review video
I had no idea you could select a parking spot and it would park! Wtf 🎉🎉🎉🎉

just to clarify...it requires you to watch the road still, but can you check the messages on your phone or does the truck yell at you
wow you have to park it manually, so old school
Good question with auto piloting…. Could the younger child be taught and drive? Kids are more tech savvy this days.
You keyed in designation- is it voice activated - yet?
Impressive. Still have to be vigilant. Can't fully relax, and I don't see why anybody would when operating a motor vehicle.
A long run since flinstones’s car.
Follow distance in slow traffic can't be too large. Non-tesla ADAS systems behave similarly in slow traffic.
Just use voice command - works like a breeze
you voice command and say navigate to Walmart
that is soo good, it almost better than human driver, pleas do longer trips, for example, somewhere outside of city & back.

12.5.5 and the vid is 12:55 long lol

Shouldn't these things already have a microphone that you can speak to instead of just typing?

I live in West Virginia and my cyber truck FSD is still not available. I just checked like five minutes ago.

This video further proves my point that most truck owners would be better served with a mini-van but their egos are too fragile to drive one.
