I’m actually really pleased to see the addax, black rhino, and Dana gazelle since they’re all so endangered. Though I would have 100% swapped out the viper for a cobra of some kind.
I'm glad frontier still adds animals that weren't highly requested and not just the top meta constantly. Adds more diversity and keeps us on our toes Plus if real zoos were a popularity contest a lot of species would have been long gone by now
Honestly I’m disappointed that it’s an Africa pack when there were so many interesting desert animals from other areas. But that disappointment is helped by the good roster of animals and they look amazing.
I'm genuinely happy for anyone whose looking forward to this pack! I truly hope you have a great time seeing your favorite animals in game. And while I don't want to be a Negative Nancy or discredit the incredible craftsmanship of Frontier, for me, this is by far the most disappointing DLC since launch. An overrepresented group of animals from an overrepresented region. The return to the static motion of terrariums with the viper feels like a step back. If not for the dromedary and porcupine, this would be the first pack I'd skip over.
Dear Old Country: I think it's amazing that Frontier always distributes animals from different continent when it comes to a biome pack. However, this time is the exception and the last thing we want is a DLC full of African animals but without secretary bird and a species of baboon. Do you think Frontier fail from maintaining this tradition is quite disappointing? Wish you having a great experience, and of course I'm so exciting about porcupines and sand cats. Ideal list: African Crested Porcupine Dromadary Camel Hamadryas Baboon Secretary Bird White-nosed Coati Greater Roadrunner Sand Cat Frilled-necked Lizard(E)
I thought the same thing about Wetlands when it came out. So maybe I'll change my mind about this pack too. So I understand where you're coming from. 5 ungulates is definitely something... But I'm giving it a shot. Porcupine alone was worth 10$ for me

Haha I was kind of in shock honestly. Everything we have seen so far is great, just a little sad that the pack isn't very diverse

If they had a Hamadryas Baboon I would be hyped but sometimes they just make bizarre animal decisions
While I love all of the ungulate additions… I can’t help but continue desire a bird. Literally any bird.

When i saw the full roster I just and a heart attack ( not as big as the I got during grasslands, but still massive. )

Really bummed about the number of ungulates. Wish we got a secretary bird, baboon, or honey badger instead. But more animals the better I suppose!

Is anyone else concerned that it says back rhino instead of the eastern black rhinoceros?
But we got a black rhino just as we wanted
It's also because it's the subspecies other than eastern black rhinos are the ones often seen in arid regions

Not really, a secretary bird would be much more expensive to make than any ungulate.
