    That Alpine pack is pretty fantastic! Although I still feel a gelada or spectacled bear is a better mascot, there is definitely a path for a goat to be one and it would be the markhor!
    I can definitely see the Pallas’ cat making it as well

  • @sampicano

    I was thinking a few days ago it would probably be a Montane or Highlands pack.
    - Andean Spectacled Bear
    - Rocky Mountain Elk
    - Wolverine
    - Chamois
    - Wild Yak
    - Takin
    - Gelada
    - Himalayan Jumping Spider (highest living species on earth)

    Pallas cat is likely because it is a meme animal, and Frontier has put meme animals in previous DLC (quokka, caracal, capybara)

    I'm convinced it's going to be a Tundra scenery pack- Sea Otter (Headliner), Musk Ox, Pacific Walrus, Wolverine.
    Exhibit could be a Snowy Owl exhibit.
    I just feel spring will bring an Amazon/Neotropical animal pack.
    Also would you anticipate the Pacific or Atlantic Walrus?

    Now I understand that it's been awhile since we've had a cool-themed DLC but looking back at the meta wishlist most of the top 15 animals are from South/Central America so I could also see a Latin America Animal Pack be most likely for the next DLC

    • @OldCountry
      @OldCountry  8 месяцев назад +6

      I'd actually prefer for them to do a Latin America Animal Pack next just because of how many we're missing. But Alpine/Highlands is probably what they're going to go with. And yea I agree Latin America needs and Animal Pack, so maybe Latin America Animal Pack next summer? And some other scenery Pack in the spring. Maybe flip the switch and do a Tundra Pack in the spring with Musk Ox, Walrus and some others. Would be an interesting switch since the past spring packs have all been Tropical

    Okey, the Alpine Animal Pack would be so so so amazing. I love all the inclusions. It would be the best planet zoo pack since Wetlands in my personal opinion.
    Edit: The Tundra Animal Pack would be even better. I mean the Muskox, Wolverine, Walrus and American Black Bear in the same pack 🤯. I would be so happy and exited if any of these two packs become a reality.

    I just thought yesterday how Tundra Pack seems likely and most of my picks were pretty much the same, but I would include some kind of waterfowl, like tundra swan or barnacle goose. I think it's about time we get one of thesse.

    Highlands Animal Pack:
    Wolverine, Markhor, Takin, Tibetan Yak, Palla's Cat, Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey, Spectacled Bear, Guanaco and exhibit Mangshan Pit Viper or Japanese Giant Salamander.
    or
    Tundra Animal Pack:
    Wolverine, Musk Ox, Pacific Walrus, Mountain Goat, Elk, American Black Bear, North American Porcupine or Arctic Hare, Atlantic Puffin and exhibit Wood Frog.

  • @Hippolf

    Would like the Alpine pack to at least give us a third bird for the year. A lot of good candidates--Himalayan monal, golden pheasant, bar-headed goose (if they have space for a new rig), or demoiselle crane.

  • @Mr.M3447

    I had a personal idea for a Woodlands Pack that would include the Wolverine, American Black Bear (insert subspecies here that isn’t actually Black in color), North American Porcupine, and the Eastern Wild Turkey, and the Little Brown Bat. I wasn’t sure what kind of exhibit animal I would include, so the bat was kinda a random pick, and also the last two were picked mostly because of uniqueness

  • @marvinbange1216
    @marvinbange1216 8 месяцев назад +3

    While i think the stoat would be really cool, i think it would be kinda strechting size wise since you cant really build fittingly small habitats due to the size of like everything in PZ (works for meerkats an prairie dogs imo because you keep them in large numbers, therefore larger exhibits).
    Also an antarctic penguin like the gentoo seems like a no brainer in a tundra pack to me

    • @OldCountry

    Another upcoming DLC that could possibly be in Planet Zoo is the Steppe pack since, it seems like Planet Zoo is going back to doing DLC'S that's based on parts of the world with the arrival of the Oceania pack. Plus, with the exception of the African crested porcupine, there hasn't been any European animals added to Planet Zoo for this year and there hasn't been a DLC dedicated to mainland Asia yet.
    Some of the animals that you've talked about in this video such as the takin, Markhor, wolverine and Pallas's cat could be in this pack. Other animals that could be in this pack are the wild boar, saiga and the European bison.
    Another subspecies of takin that could be chosen for Planet Zoo is the Mishmi takin which is the main subspecies that you would find in captivity in Europe and it's the nominate subspecies.
    Since the Japanese giant salamander is present in the Meta wishlist, I doubt that it would be an exhibit animal since the list only takes choices for habitat animals into account.

    • @OldCountry
      @OldCountry  8 месяцев назад +4

      I feel Europe's pain lol with the exception of the Peccary North America hasn't received any animals either. That's why getting animals like the Wolverine, Elk, Chamois or Alpine Marmot is so important.
      Also with the Japanese Giant Salamander, the Brown-Throated Sloth was in the habitat animal wishlist but it got added as an exhibit animal.

    I have wanted a mountains pack since the beginning of this year, I’ve visualized the perfect roster for 3 months, this is the only pack I am dead set on.
    My roster:
    Markhor (headliner)
    Spectacled Bear
    Pallas Cat
    Sichuan Takin
    Rock Hyrax
    Wolverine
    Gelada
    Japanese Salamander or Titicaca Water Frog (E)

    I do agree that the wolverine fits better in the Tundra Pack idea (personally I also like the Pallas Cat so them being in the Highlands and Wolverine Tundra I think is better but that’s just me) though I would’ve picked the Snowshoe Hare instead of the Arctic mostly for nostalgia with the Wild Kratts cartoon

    If they do continue with the hot biomes theme, then I could see them releasing a pack which correlates with Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere, maybe including various species from across South America, Australia and Southern Africa.
    I could personally see species like the spectacled bear, short-beaked echidna secretary bird being added, though this pack is practically completely unlikely and the theme would be hard to convey. Just an idea though.

    I have a very strong feeling that the next pack is animal centric and will sort of be the mirror opposite of the Tropical Pack.
    I also have a feeling that regardless if its temperate forest or Alpine/Mountain,
    We'll be getting atleast one new bear species, one large bird that can fly but also large enough to be a habitat animal, one amphibian or even reptile, two hooved mammals, one rodent, and two primates. Maybe one more carnivore as well.

    In my opinion, the game greatly misses the largest animal in Europe - the bison. In the past, it was found all over the continent, but due to poaching and wars it almost became extinct. Its population was recreated in Poland during the war from the remaining living individuals. His story of species recovery deserves to be included in Planet Zoo, and I very much hope so. I cannot imagine missing this majestic king of European lowlands, highlands and forests. What do you think? 🦬🦬🦬🦬

    Wouldn't the American wapiti (elk in US English) just be a large version of the European wapiti? The North American ones are considered a subspecies after all. The Manul (Pallascat) would be a good choice in itself, they can be found in many European zoos. But Puffins are also animals that I would really like to see. Well, more birds in general.

    • @OldCountry
      @OldCountry  8 месяцев назад +2

      Actually the Elk (Cervus Canadensis) isn't the same species as the European Red Deer. Sadly Elk haven't even been found in Europe since the Late Pleistocene. Elk have been there own species for thousands of years. There are currently 11 Extant subspecies of Elk and 2 Extinct. The one I'm indirectly referring to in the video would be the subspecies of Elk found in the Rockies known as the Rocky Mountain Elk (Cervus canadensis nelsoni)

    Your NA bias is really funny like why are you putting NA porcupine and black bear in a tundra pack fr😭😭😭 (you also missed the obvious choice of sea otter for tundra) And North America is already well represented in the game while Central Asia really isn't so the Pallas cat is a much more welcome addition than a red deer clone nobody but americans care about (besides that Pallas cats are super common in Europe)
