I’ve got this gut feeling we’re going to get the Tasmanian Devil and some other requested animals based on the devs’ tweet about mixing something together. I think this is alluding to the fun little skit they’re going to do on Monday’s special livestream.
I can't wait to see what Planet Zoo planned for us!!!!!🥳🥳🥳 As for me, the most interesting are the ideas for dlc from the temperate and the mountains. Personally, I think the wisent was the super animal for the Temperate/Woodlands DLC. The fact that this is a species that was reborn after extinction in the wild and its breeding survived both world wars is amazing. I also really want to see roe deer, wild boar, takin, Tatra chamois, Pallas's cat, European wildcat and I hope that someday they will be added to the game. I mentioned a lot of native animals for me hahaha😅😅😅 Greetings from Poland 😊😊
I mean, we don't need any more NA animals anyways (We have 27 of them, meanwhile Oceania and Europe combined don't even have that many). We have over 50 African and over 40 Asian animals (So we don't any more of them either). I prefer frontier focusing on the three regions we have the least animals of, the already mentioned Europe and Oceania, and SA, who only has 17.
I’m ngl I love these deep dive videos from old country they get me so hyped and now I know another pack is on the way! I think the best pack that I would personally prefer is a highlands version, with the Andean bear and takin instead and some other highland animals, but I don’t want to make this comment crazy long so I won’t list them all. I also am praying that we get some serious South America animal pack as the alternate to the South America pack with a lot of good aditions, such as the coati, golden Lion tamarins, howler monkeys, kinkagous, and more. Tbh I just don’t think planet zoo has enough animals to represent the Amazon. Also I personally would prefer a tree kangaroo over a possum, but that’s just me. Thanks again old country for these amazing videos, can’t wait to see the next dlc!!!!!❤
I can’t wait for the special livestream next week to see if it’s woodlands or islands. If it’s a woodlands scenery pack and the Tasmanian Devil is confirmed, a lot of players will buy it. The Tasmanian Devil also fits Frontier’s message of conservation.
Personally I can't see the Bald Eagle happening. If frontier were to introduce flying birds, I think they would introduce a flying bird pack, rather than drip feeding us birds. Having said that... My temperate/woodlands roster would include: North American black bear North American elk Collared Peccary/ wild boar Tasmanian devil Red squirrel walk through exhibit
I mean, i feel like flying birds this late into the games lifespan is impossible anyways, considering that would require a complete overhaul of the core mechanics of the game, which so late into the games lifespan takes to much effort than its worth, especially since its likely only a small part of the games creators still work on the game, due to the unavoidable Planet Coaster 2, which i feel like will be announced this year for a release next year, considering we are already 7 years into the Planet Coaster lifespan and next year would be 8. Planet Zoo released 3 years after Planet Coaster, however, the moment Planet Zoo arrived, we didn't get any Planet Coaster updates anymore. So we likely won't get anything major that requires a complete overhaul of the game anyways.
I think it’s going to either be the North Island Brown Kiwi or the Kakapo that’s included in the pack. I agree it’s likely going to be a Temperate/Woodlands DLC. I also agree the alligator snapping turtle works better in an exhibit. They are not habitat animals. The Children's Aquarium at Fair Park has one. It is in a tank. It is not outside. If it was a habitat animal, people would never see it unless there is an underwater viewing area. I also do think we’re going to get birds. There is evidence in the large staff room to suggest this. There is a painting with a macaw hanging on the wall and a magazine with a blurred image of another macaw. You know Frontier likes to drop Easter eggs or hints of future animal rosters. I’ve had this gut feeling they are saving the Tasmanian Devil for a temperate/woodlands pack. They know everybody wants it but they also know everybody wants birds. I can see the American Black Bear making it in. The Fort Worth Zoo has two. It is one of two major bear species missing from the game. The sloth bear and the American Black Bear. The Bald Eagle will introduce our first bird of prey to the game. It also fits their message of conservation perfectly and it's a huge conservation success story. I think the black bear, elk and bald eagle will round out North America nicely. During their summer give away, the devs did hint at the river otter when they were playing picture charade. But it very well could have been the Asian small clawed otter from the Wetlands animal pack. This is my prediction for the Woodlands DLC: American Black Bear Elk or Bald Eagle Tasmanian Devil Echidna or Brush Tailed Possum North Island Brown Kiwi or Kakapo
Yeah, I realized too late that I forgot the Spectacled/Andean Bear. Those three species will round out all the major bear species commonly kept in zoos.
There was someone on DeLadySigner’s comments section that does not believe me that we are likely going to get the Kakapo. In the large staff room, there is a green mug that has a cute little face on it that looks like the Kakapo. The evidence is right there and macaws sit at #10 on the bird meta wishlist. The demand for them is there. They did the same thing with the sloth. They teased it on a mug. There is also a painting of a macaw hanging on the wall. We are going to get more birds.
I know this is very un unpopular but I want more ungulates. A lot of people think that there are too many but they are so diverse and there are three ungulate families that lack representation in game whatsoever. (Those being chevrotains/mouse deer, musk deer and peccaries) also weirdly we don't have any small ungulates and I would love to get a duiker or a small deer like a pudu
Whats odd is that the Dikdik was reported to be in the game during the press releases of the game when people could play during Gamescom, but for some reason, it was taken out.
@@seiretzym absolutely! My main picks for them would be reeves' muntjac, siberian musk deer, any chevrotain species, takin, blackbuck, gaur, nilgai and maybe axis deer
@@seiretzym Like, at the same time i agree, but at the same time: We have enough Asian animals as is (Asia has more animals than Europe, SA and Oceania combined).
Amazing ideas! I would LOVE to see this pack, if contains the tassie and the kiwi could be an amazing pack, now that we have announced the livestream!! Nice video! 👍
If we get a woodlans pack... i feel like us getting the Wisent/European Bison is extremely likely, especially since they are also called the European Wood Bison because their historical ranges are woodlands and i do think if we ever get a shot at the European Bison, its in a Woodlands pack cuz the Takin would be most likely in a Highlands/Mountain pack. The only thing against them though is that they are less tameable and as such less abundant in zoos (But i mean, Frontier doesn't even look at this, considering we got the Bengal Tiger over the Sumatran Tiger, despite the Sumatran being the most abundant in zoos). If we get an Islands Pack, i think the Tasmanian Devil gets reserved for that. I think the European Hedgehog would be a likely candidate as well for a Woodlands pack. Europe in itself is underrepresented in the game as well (With only 14 habitat animals and only 2 of those are the only animals that only live in Europe). The other underrepresented continent is Oceania. So if we get a woodlands pack, i rather prefer we get animals from those continents, since the other continents already get clogged up animals anyways (With a lot of them being reskins of already existing animals anyways).
Nice ideas ! I also think we'll get a woodlands/temperate pack. I think the white-tailed deer would be more likely, because the Elk is very similar to the red deer (but so is grizzly vs. himalayan or bengal vs. sibirean, so who knows). I'd like to throw in the yellow-throated marten. This animal became very popular in European zoos and looks awesome.
You were off on the theme, but correct on half the habitat species! You were also on the right track with the Oceania-heavy roster. I still think this Temperate pack is likely for the future, but my prediction at this point would be: * American black bear * Elk * Mute swan * Eurasian wild boar * Eastern box turtle I think the echidna and sugar glider are good alternatives. I'd also consider American porcupine, wild turkey, and wisent as potential substitutions for some of my choices.
I they would definitely add turkeys and I would like American black bear and a deer of some type. Getting a Virginia opossums would be better in my opinion. For the exhibit animal a flying squirrel of some kind.
Virginia Opossums could be interesting, personally I don't care about it either which way, but the reason I didn't include it is because idk how it would work in franchise considering the animal only lives a few years and pops out many babies. Seems possibly unmanageable
I agree. They are very unlikely to consider the Eastern Turkey since they are in Europe and they do not celebrate Thanksgiving there. That is strictly an American and Canadian holiday.
I think For Autumn to get Temperate DLC🐻🦌🐗🌳🌿: 1) American Black Bear 2) Elk or White-Tailed Deer 3) Wild Boar 4) Short-Beaked Echidna 5) A Exhibit Turtle🐢 (Alligator Snapping Turtle or Red-Eared Silder Turtle) or Walkthrough Exhibit Red Squirrel 🐿

I think with the mixing hint we're going to get a fun little skit where they dress up as old school rappers and dj's and create a mix tape that hints towards the next animals. Think about it! It could be a rap song about the tasmanian devil and other requested animals. The tweet was hinting at mixing them all together in this mix tape.
My list is the American Black Bear, North Island Brown Kiwi, but instead of Elk, I have Reeve’s Munjac, another essential deer species we need. Finally fir the exhibit animal of a the Japanese Giant Salamander or a Hellabender
I do think that the next DLC would be a woodlands pack as well since the two previous DLCs were based around the season that they were released in. The habitat animals that I want in a woodlands pack are the American black bear, the Brazilian tapir, the European bison and the ring-tailed coati. I think that the exhibit animal would be three options. The first option is another snake such as the corn snake since, we've had three DLCs in a row that have a caudate in them and three DLCs in a row that have walkthrough exhibit animals. So, I think there's going to be three DLCs with a snake in them starting with the arid pack with the desert horned viper. The second option is the Eurasian red squirrel since it's found in plenty of animal places in Europe due to the fact that they're rare in the UK from the invasive grey squirrel introduced. There's also the fact that squirrels are iconic woodland animals and there's a scenery piece in the game with a squirrel on it. The third option is some sort of golden orb weaver since they're the only other animal that I can think of that can work as a walkthrough exhibit animal since there is such thing as spider walkthroughs such as the In With The Spiders walkthrough in ZSL London zoo. Another reason why I think they could be added to the game is because there hasn't had a new arachnid in the game just like the fact that there wasn't a new snake before the arid pack.
I think your first pack idea is really great. At first I thought about changing out the Elk for the Wild Boar, but the Wild Boar could show up in the winter pack, since it should correspond to the European pack. @@OldCountry Well... it wasn't an exclusivley North African roster, since the African Crested Porcupine can also be found in Europe. And both the Dromedary Camel and Sand Cat can be found in Asia as well.
Wolverine, Elk, River Otter, Echidna, & Sugar Glider I'd love to see the Bald Eagle, but that seems unlikely for a woodlands pack. I'd love to see the bear, but i think we've seen that through the Grizzly...
an american black bear is a not a headliner, a tasmanian devil is, so is a manatee, so is a secretary bird, but an american black bear (when we ALREADY have the asiatic black bear) is by no means drawing anyone into buying this pack (anyone who was going to buy this dlc, was already going to buy it, the black bear is not a draw)
13:50 i feel like the alligator snapping turtle would be too dangerous as a walkthrough exhibit animal. That turtle can chomp through watermelons in one bite
I would be really happy with those animals but since they wrote mixed things up on their special live stream announcement I am wondering if it will be another animal pack. Since SEA they have had a scenery pack and the next one a animal pack. Apart from Twilight. But I Wonder of they might have decided to go with animal packs back to back. Just a thought, do not think that is the case but you never know.
Tassie or bust, the devil has waited long enough. That and the kiwi are the only animals that I think would be disappointing to see left out of a temperate pack.
Honestly neither the black bear or the elk are that interesting, I would like to see some of the alternate animals instead, the boar and the turkey f.e.
i would honestly like it better as a animal pack just because amarican sceanery seems a little too speafic to be used lot and will be gated on similar to twiligth or even some parts of south amarica pack
The pack I would like to see would be one of these; Islands Pack - Matchie's Tree Kangaroo, Tasmanian Devil, Walrus, Japanese Serow with Madagascan Day Gecko as the exhibit animal or Budgerigar in walkthrough Highlands Pack - Andean Bear, Pallas Cat, Markhor, Gelada Baboon with Greek Tortoise as the exhibit animal or Himalayan Monal in walkthrough. Domestic Pack - Shetland Pony, Nigerian Dwarf Goat, Pot-bellied Pig, Scottish Highland Cow with Domestic Rabbits in the walkthrough. If a Woodland or Forest pack were to be released, I would include. American Black Bear Reeve's Muntjac Wolverine North American Porcupine with either Spiny Softshell turtle as the exhibit or Prevost's Squirrel in the walkthrough
I have a dlc idea it is called the rare species pack it would have Gelada Tasmanian devil Walrus Shoebill stork Sea banded snake The alternatives would be Nubian ibex, kiwi, jackal, and emperor penguin.
@Calleo-qv3dj Interesting. That's such a foreign concept to me considering almost every zoo in America has multiple species of wild squirrels that free roam the place. I don't really see how they have any educational or conservational value to zoos, but to each their own I guess lmao
I agree with a Woodlands pack, I just think the black bear is not needed since we already have the grizzly. A turkey or North American porcupine would be so much cooler!
Go to forums.frontier.co.uk and you'll be able to find the community wishlist! Make an account and you can also vote for you're most wanted animals in it!
but there is absolutely zero asian animals mentioned. i thought at least the vast temperate forest trenching from china to india would have a few worthy candidates for this speculation

Wow I really thought that the red squirrel or something like that would be in this pack
The pack I would like to see would be one of these;
Islands Pack - Matchie's Tree Kangaroo, Tasmanian Devil, Walrus, Japanese Serow with
Madagascan Day Gecko as the exhibit animal or Budgerigar in walkthrough
Highlands Pack - Andean Bear, Pallas Cat, Markhor, Gelada Baboon with Greek Tortoise as the exhibit animal or Himalayan Monal in walkthrough.
Domestic Pack - Shetland Pony, Nigerian Dwarf Goat, Pot-bellied Pig, Scottish Highland Cow with Domestic Rabbits in the walkthrough.
If a Woodland or Forest pack were to be released, I would include.
American Black Bear
Reeve's Muntjac
Wolverine
North American Porcupine
with either Spiny Softshell turtle as the exhibit or Prevost's Squirrel in the walkthrough
I have a dlc idea it is called the rare species pack it would have
Gelada
Tasmanian devil
Walrus
Shoebill stork
Sea banded snake
The alternatives would be Nubian ibex, kiwi, jackal, and emperor penguin.
I would hope that frontier gives us a walkthrough exhibit animal if not in this dlc than for the next one (also brother bear is based)
hey Old Country
I Would Like
Wild Boar
Elk
European Bison
Red Or Grey squirrels As The Walkthrough Exhibit Animal
Whitetail Deer
Do zoos have red squirrels exhibits?
@@OldCountry Yes They Do
European Bison team 🦬🦬💚💚
@@OldCountry European zoos certainly do.
@Calleo-qv3dj Interesting. That's such a foreign concept to me considering almost every zoo in America has multiple species of wild squirrels that free roam the place. I don't really see how they have any educational or conservational value to zoos, but to each their own I guess lmao
Besides the walkthrough video, do you think there’s a chance for an exhibit expansion update to make them more interesting and customizable
Sadly probably not this late into the game
I agree with a Woodlands pack, I just think the black bear is not needed since we already have the grizzly. A turkey or North American porcupine would be so much cooler!
We don't need NA animals in general (We already have 27 of them, which is more than Europe (Who has only 14) and Oceania (With only 9) combined.
What about the Wolverine?
Only reason I didn't include it is because the likelihood of the Wolverine and Tasmanian Devil in the same pack is very slim
As I was searching for this video, I was thinking, "man I would love to see a wolverine!"
honestly i think we need a canada pack or reptile pack
Where is this meta-wishlist? I dont find it
Go to forums.frontier.co.uk and you'll be able to find the community wishlist! Make an account and you can also vote for you're most wanted animals in it!
Thanks, I was wondering too
but there is absolutely zero asian animals mentioned. i thought at least the vast temperate forest trenching from china to india would have a few worthy candidates for this speculation
We need more European representation. Well, I haven't seen the video yet tho sence I'm out 😂
We need Console DLC NGL
I look forward for the blackbear, wild boar, Tasmanian devil, and sugar glider.
Wow I really thought that the red squirrel or something like that would be in this pack
