I’m commenting a month after you posted this video, so I’m not sure if you will even see it. I’m watching from Tennessee in the US and I’m just now learning about camping. So I’m glad that you leave everything in the videos so that we can learn how to handle those situations. Besides, I really enjoy how real that you are and it lets us get to know you better. To answer your question… I lost my Dad just a little over a year ago, so I would absolutely LOVE to have a whole day with him. Thanks for the great video! ~Kim
Brother you carry on with what you're doing, helping others is honourable, love your videos always makes me smile and makes me want to get out doors thank you
Petrichor is the term coined by Australian scientists in 1964 to describe the unique, earthy smell associated with rain. It is caused by the water from the rain, along with certain compounds like ozone, geosmin, and plant oils.
I enjoy seeing the mishaps in videos because it keeps things real and shows not everything goes according to plan and the fact you don't quit and keep going is very encouraging.
You look so content in your camping videos . Sometimes it’s just nice to smell the fresh air and going back to basics with no tv no distractions except nature x
My Grandpa Schuelke, I was his favorite grandchild, an there were many in my large family. He died when I was 13 years old, I'm now 73 an I miss him so much. I love your videos please keep them coming.
If I could go to heaven it would be to see my dog that died last year from epilepsy. She got me through the toughest times ive had so far and made me want to still be here. Thanks for another great video.
I would love to see Julie Cox again . Was my first love when I was 17 but she was killed in a car accident 23 years ago. I am now 55 and I still miss her!
If I had one day in heaven it would be my dad who passed away in 2012. I'd say thanks for being the man that taught me morals, respect and gave me a sense of humour (or so I would like to think).
Me also, my Dad brought three kids up while working full time, my sister was 8, I was 12 and my brother was 16 when my mother left us to go and live 200 miles away, on his days off he took us all over the place, he drove us from Worthing to Longleate to see the first safari park open where you could drive through “ lion” country 😱lol, we queued for nearly 4 hours to get in and the lions were nowhere to be seen😂 but we had a bottle of orange squash, sandwiches and crisps to eat in the car for after we had gone through, so we had a brilliant day, just one of many, he was the best, he passed away from lung cancer which had spread throughout his body on Jubilee day 1977 at 2.45pm, everybody else was enjoying their street party and we lost our dear dear Dad😭 he was 52 years old, I am an old Granny of 70 now but there’s not a day that goes past when he’s not constantly in my thoughts, my eldest is named after him “ Joe” and Dad would have loved that boy so sobs much❤
I think it would have to be my grandpa he took me fishing, hunting, camping and taught me more and shaped me into what I am today. I think of him every day love you grandpa
My granda frost everywhere he went i was there. I was 8 when he died in the eatly 70s . When I was 2 he saved me from drowning. A master baker abd confectioner I loved to watch him in the kitchen. 52 years on and having lost my parents he is still a big miss in my life
We love your videos Dan... It's true down to earth no frills you.. It's not only camping although that's what we love watching but it real life events to... Your one of the true you tubers.. And such a enjoyment to watch.. Thank you
Your video is fine stop worrying, and the person I would want to meet in heaven is my Mum, she passed in 2009 and I miss her every single day. Thanks for your videos Dan.
Thanks for the wet and woolly video…Murphy’s Law…😊! I had one day in heaven I would like to see my mom again whom I lost 54 years ago when I was nine. Have a great and dry day!
Love your videos because they are real. Real person, experiencing real life; what's not to like. I, honestly, have never watched one of your videos and not enjoyed it. DON'T EVER STOP, PLEASE!
I would love to see my mum again only passed away a few years ago and it was sudden, It would be nice to have afternoon tea with her again. I really admire your camping videos. Cheers 😊😊
I couldn't choose who to spend the day in heaven with. I lost my mom n dad in 2018 7 weeks apart. So I'd just stay in heaven forever then I get to be with them forever 😢😢
I feel 4 u I lost my dad through mesothelioma in 2005 and my son.then my mum 5 months later they were married for 53 yrs she died of a broken heart because they were never apart x
I like you're other channel dan but I've always liked your camping channel first and would like alot more and more of you and vegan Dan wherever his gone. Miss the good old of you and him together.
Ah lad.. these are the videos I love. I've NEVER had the perfect camping trip. I always forget something or something stops working. Week before last, my air pump didn't work, worked perfectly when I got home. Then I got eaten by midges, two weeks on and I've got lumps the size of volcanoes on the back of my head. Last week I forgot my tea bags and really didn't plan my meal very well. It was edible but not what I wanted. But for me, that's what camping is all about, using your knowledge and abilities to adapt and overcome. Makes life interesting 😅
Get containers to store your kit. Fill them with what you need. If you do that at the end of your trip, it's more difficult to forget something. Not impossible unfortunately. 😂 Good luck and keep going.
1 day in Heaven would be my Brother, I didn't realise until I found him passed away alone at his home how much I would miss him. He was 12 months younger than me and we worked together and went out on our motorbikes together and other stuff. It lives with me everyday when I found him, your videos are brilliant Dan as well, really down to earth and entertaining 👍
Great vid. My mum had a stroke in lockdown. I'm her carer now. She can't talk and is half brain damaged. She's sat next to me but I'd love to have my mum back to normal n talk n laugh . So I would see my mum in heaven
You’re such a genuine, normal fella mate… credit to you across the board. Sadly, not many people like you in this world… albeit, it would be a much better place if there were. Don’t stop what you’re doing mucker, or who you are. Peace love and harmony my friend. LEGEND Respectfully…. Shiney.
I remember pitching up tents in heavy rain, we were hysterical with laughter cos it was so dire. Loved the sound of rain under the conker tree and how you described the smells sent them across the airwaves.
1 day in Heaven wood be my Grandfather who past away when i was 5 in a half.HAPPY FATHERS DAY . I do love your camping and cooking videos.Barbie NWP, FL
I would love a day with my Grandma mate, played a huge family role in my life and not a day goes by when I dont think about her. 20 years since she passed away but would love a good chat miss it 😊
Organic, spontaneous minded videos are best because they are not a copy cat baked formula that everybody saw already a thousands times. I like you because you speak your mind as you go and are natural with the camera. You come off as a nice person to and in my own opinion that explains a great deal of your success. A normal bloke getting out in the wild and speaking with us! All the best from Portugal!
That was a great listen to video really enjoyed watching, 1 day in heaven that's a difficult one ,my nan ,dad or my sister, I couldn't choose between them
Great video! I always love your videos, I learn heaps from them. In this video though...At 34:00 you were spilling your hot drink in your tent and you didn't even notice. I'm glad you don't edit out these little imperfections, they make it all the more natural in a natural environment - Thanks and keep up the great work! 🙂
Hi Dan Another great little video. I think I would have used a tarp with that tent so you could use a chair but that’s probably because I’m older and don’t like laying all the time. One day in heaven I would love to see the man who taught me how to work the woods. He was like a father to me and I miss him every day. Thanks for sharing your night.
Hi Dan keep with videos faults and all i can’t get out now and they help me get through the day it’s no fun battling terminal cancer so going through your videos helps takes my mind of it so once again keep up the good work your a star
Pretty new subscriber here. Just going through some of your back catalogue. I always appreciate people who leave their mistakes in their videos. It just encourages more people to keep going when they're new to the experience and feel like they're not as good as the people they follow! ❤
I have a cook set its in a round black bag i bought it from a garage sale, i was so excited to find it saying this will be perfect for my trip to Wales on my motorcycle. I paid about five or ten pounds for it. The lady told me it was her late father's and he would be so pleased its still going camping. And its had lots of Adventures sinec with. I haven't used my wood stove yet dan, i have a plan something i have wanted to do for a long time, its not s overnight but sometimes the smalest adventure is the most needed.
Hi Dan, thank you for your down to earth videos, you’ve inspired me to save and get some camping gear and take it on as a new hobby , I used to love it so much as a little girl
This video is a masterpiece of vlogging, mostly because you are so honest, or real. If I had one day in Heaven then Id see my mum again, because she died four years ago this month. The GoPros are notoriously unreliable at times, but that how it is with action cameras. The GoPro footage at night is also dark, and with low dynamic range. The phone footage has better range between light and dark, but is somehow less involving. Not sure how the sound works on either, because I have never done a vlog like this. If you keep being you, just like this, then 100K of followers is not far away.
One day in heaven would be my friend who we lost a few years ago ❤ The videos are great Dan, I really enjoy them. It’s not just about the reviews, they help loads with making decisions about what I buy as I can’t really afford to make mistakes and buy twice, so you save me money too. But it’s also about watching someone solo wild camp, I haven’t managed to do that solo yet, cos I am a chicken 😂 Planning a trip up in Brecon soon tho for my first go 😬 Lisa I appreciate the time and effort you put in, so much better and much more enjoyable than the tele! Lisa
1 day in heaven my Nan as my Grandad was deaf so not much of a conversation though I loved them both dearly... As a RUclipsr myself cameras go wrong sometimes, my battery died half way through a walking video so had to finish with my phone, it was annoying but shit happens... I like your videos Dan as they are real to life and its hard to think of things to film so its not easy... Nice little break for you thanks for taking us along.. ATB Chris.
You seem to have a good heart, follow it and make yourself happy. You now have the subscriptions of the equivalent of the city of Chester. Well done. To your question, I think I'd see my Grandfather. He gave me my forst map around when I was 4. Showed me foraging and the outdoors. I loved his Teasmaid when I woke up. Its 36 years since I saw him, id love to speak and hike with him again.
I really love the EWM SHOW. Not just the realistic feel of the content but the honesty in the presentation. I'll be in hainsworth from Monday to Wednesday coming. Probably going to be a damp camp, but like you say. Be that person and get out when you can 😊
I think you advertising on your channel and having a giveaway is really cool and great idea it also shows how you care about others and that’s a great.
My dad 100% my dad was my best friend learn me a lot for the time I had with him gave me a little brother as a gd bye present took my mum to the hospital to give birth and never come back hit a tree police come when I was looking after my sister and brother at 16 no adult in the house and told me he committed suicide he didn't it was said after but that's why I hate police died in the same hospital as his granny what was one of the most important ppl in his life great video dan all the best
Hi Dan video was brilliant no need to worry always a good watch best youtuber on here in my opinion. 1 day in heaven my nanan ❤ proper down to earth man and very kind look forward to the next 1
My grandad, lost him when I was about 16 (44 now) But he was a great fella. Nothing wrong with going bald, just shave it all off and a sleeping hat 👍go pro was better quality but still decent off the bone. Audio was decent throughout. We are still watching, don’t worry just do what you do 👍
I got given some big offcuts of pond-liner, it makes fantastic footprints/groundsheets. I don't know how much it costs but if you can get some, best thing ever imo!
I liked Ur video .u kept it real u didn't sugar coat anything.and it wasn't Ur fault Ur go pro wasn't working it was out with Ur control.i also think u doing the giveaways is a fantastic thing to give back well done.and I love watching both Ur channels great job 👍 xx
If you do a footprint make it so it doesn't protrude past the flysheets protection or rain will hit it and come inside, UNLESS you make it so big that you can stuff leafage underneath the perimeter to bank it up on the inside. 🤘🙂
Who would I meet in heaven? My dad (who was more bald than I (and I am more bald than you (and have been since I was in my 20's)). He died suddenly after 3 major heart attacks in a few hours, following a knee replacement. I had visited him in hospital 2 days before and, because I let my sister visit him in ICU first, as she hadn't seen him in a much longer time, I never got to see him while he was still conscious. The last words I said to him before the heart attacks were, "Stop worrying, you'll be fine!" I would love to apologise and tell him I love him. 💔
Dan, take a tarp/poncho with you and stick it up first and then pitch your tent underneath it. Plus set up your poles first, and your pegs to hand, before pulling the tent out, in the rain. Loving your videos, especially the bushcraft ones. Stay safe
@@englishwoodsman I always take one, just in case. They are handy to extend from the front of the tent too, for cooking under or getting out of any wet clothes etc. Keep the videos coming mate. Ps I know of a great wild Bivvy/tent spot. If you’re interested, let me know how I can send you the details privately.
I recently bought one of your EWM Wood Burning Stove's 🔥 Cracking little bit of kit, well worth the price & it goes to a good cause. Nice 1 again, Dan. Cheers 🍻

Dan, you are chip off the old block a real genuine Yorkshire man ,simple to that ❤
Wow thst is a hard question too answer. Ever my dad or my mumx❤

I always take my oex bush pro tarp out with the phoxx2 v2 for rainy camps works fantastic 😊
My grandad, lost him when I was about 16 (44 now) But he was a great fella. Nothing wrong with going bald, just shave it all off and a sleeping hat 👍go pro was better quality but still decent off the bone. Audio was decent throughout. We are still watching, don’t worry just do what you do 👍
The quality and sound at 23 mins when you swap go-pro is much better. Great as always, keep er lit!
So was the second half of the video better
I got given some big offcuts of pond-liner, it makes fantastic footprints/groundsheets. I don't know how much it costs but if you can get some, best thing ever imo!
At least your videos are genuine. That's all I like from anyone, to be authentic. God bless you and your family, and happy camping 🏕 😀 😊 🙏. Lee
If you do a footprint make it so it doesn't protrude past the flysheets protection or rain will hit it and come inside,
UNLESS you make it so big that you can stuff leafage underneath the perimeter to bank it up on the inside.
🤘🙂
Thank you 👍
No worries marra,happy stitching :-D🤘
I would love to spend it with me dad lost him last year i miss him so much great video
Improvisation is key to achieving anything. Tech is and will always be a quality issues. Well done and good luck with no toothache.
I miss my mum and definitely my dad who passed in 1972 BUT I would visit my wife who passed away in September 2021 miss her every day.
Got my stove the other week... cheers Dan... Great piece of kit.... stay safe dude...
love your videos mate keep it up me and my mate are going to do this thanks to you
Yeah, same here mate 1 day in heaven with my Grandad, great camp buddy :)
My mom we lost her a couple of years ago and I miss her more than you can know
Who would I meet in heaven?
Stay safe
I was not expecting it to rain as bad 🤣🤣
@@englishwoodsman I always take one, just in case.
They are handy to extend from the front of the tent too, for cooking under or getting out of any wet clothes etc.
Keep the videos coming mate.
Ps I know of a great wild Bivvy/tent spot.
If you’re interested, let me know how I can send you the details privately.
I recently bought one of your EWM Wood Burning Stove's 🔥
Cracking little bit of kit, well worth the price & it goes to a good cause.
Nice 1 again, Dan.
Cheers 🍻
Good video Dan. Everything just real and normal. You just be you.
