These China pads are great due to the price, I get mine from ZFE to polish headlights, tail lights and chrome bumpers. The T40 & T10 diamond pads are excellent (made in Germany). If you plan to do much polishing, I bought a rotary polisher from Harbor Freight and it works great considering it was on sale for like 29 bucks.
It never ceases to amaze me how rude and ignorant people are in the comment forums online. This is the result of a generation of parents not teaching their children the truth of God's word. It's truly sad. But thank you for this video. I was considering this product to use on guitars, and it looks perfect, and good quality. I appreciate you. ~Clinton
You have the right to believe whatever you wish, my friend. If in the future, I may be of service to you as a minister of the word of God, you are welcome to contact me (if there is still time). I will say this, though...and I am being totally sincere...I have been where you are. A particular church turned me away from God in my youth, and I lived very angry with God, and despised "Christians" for many years. But then, when I was 30 years old, God showed me that those people don't know him, and have nothing to do with him, and he showed me who he really is, and the way of salvation as it is written in the Holy Bible. Just saying. :)
TheWordprophet sir, Jesus said after they have denied all invitations, to dust your feet off an keep moving. I had to realize, everyone isnt gonna be saved. It saved me so much energy and time to focus truly on my gift and calling thru Jesus Christ. Sir keep that Romans 116!
Sad but true... it took me years to realize that only "Christians" give Christianity a bad name! I've known plenty of "Christians" and unfortunately they are often the loudest but I know a lot of good Christians too! They're often working quietly behind the scenes and off the radar... but they're thankless miracle workers and true lifesavers when you need them!
that drill pad actually worked out better than i thought it would. i use a cheap harbor freight buffer my cut and buffing, but the drill seems to be working out well. and those smaller pads let you get in more places than the standard buffing pad would. it looks like you'll be able to make the best out of that situation the body shop put you in. you definitely have some elbow grease ahead of you, but it looks like it is turning out pretty good!
Yeah man I took a chance on this cheap eBay buy, and it turned out to be excellent! I had doubts, and thought the foam was going to rip and just get ruined after 20 minutes but nope they're going to last.. 3 inches in the only downside definitely can't do the whole car in a day, but 2 panels at a time is a breeze. I actually was recommended the Harbor freight DA polisher.. You don't like it? I was actually going to get it! I heard it makes a better sander than anything.. So that kind of made me think twice.. And thanks for watching new junkyard video coming up
I do like the polisher. Its not the DA one. I think this is the newer version of what i have: www.harborfreight.com/7-in-10-amp-heavy-duty-digital-variable-speed-polisher-62297.html i've had it for about 8 years now and it still works perfect. its probably cut/buffed 8-10 vehicles in its lifetime so far
Important help needed please! Whom polishing pad are good for machine use and hand use? Also tell us about sizes. 1. Microfiber pads or foam pads? 2. 8cm,10cm,12cm or 13cm size? Thanks in advance.
I know its an old video but just to let you know if you don't already, polish works as an abrasive and smooth out surface scratches. It doesn't work as a filler at all. Not good quality polish anyway. Wax on the other hand does work as a filler and serves to mask small surface scratches and imperfections to make a shine. Wax will come off after a few washes. You did a good job none the less though
I’ve personally used polish that masked and hide scratches instead of removing the scratches. They had so much silicone and garbage in them.. after polishing the finish, it would look like glass, after a week and a wash it’ll be scratched. After switching to quality polish I never had this issue again

Most persons with a decent eye will not notice the difference between expensive and cheaper pads. The cost and a little TLC go a long way to getting a good finish that will last a block or two
Compound and polisher actually are not fillers. Wax works like a filler. Polishers and compounds reduce clear coat in order to make it look good again.
Cheap polishes and compounds have a lot of silicone and chemicals in them that fill in scratches, after a week imperfections show up again. They just weren’t abrasive enough to cut and just had artificial enhancers. After getting good quality products I learned to never cheap out
Like the review on the pads, bought some myself but the compound from MG does NOT have fillers. Also you need to clean the pad before you move on to the next panel. Keep those pads clean.
MG? Which brand is that? That's good it doesn't have fillers. The "off the shelf" stuff I used makes it look very good for a day, then imperfections show up once the fillers wear off. Wiping with Rubbing alcohol got me a true finish after each session and I was able to touch up some spots with the pads. And yeah plus I found marking the pads for a specific use is also good, keep the firm ones only for compounds, mediums for polish and soft for wax
***** Trust me a lot of people have talked about this subject it's actually pretty old. Theirs a lot of additives they add in the compounds and polishes to help cut the haze/swirls/fine scratches but theirs also silicon in the products that could hide imperfections. Loads of people say after using IPA, imperfections show up like a sore thumb. It's not that they are using the products wrong, it's just that it's more "user friendly" so it can't damage the clear. You can actually see it separate at times during a quick polish, where the cutting agent will get absorbed by the pad and you are left with a crystal clear oily residue, that's filler for all I see. I haven't had this problem with the their pro line products, that's all I use now and I'm pretty happy with it. I stopped using their consumer products.
Used Ultimate Compound with a heavy cut pad and then used IPA and no scratches showed up, I always follow up with IPA after each polish and never got the scratches back, so my guess you needed something better, either a better pad or machine polish. The pro line, m105-m205 does the jab faster, has a higher cut then the Ultimate, that's why it works better for you, but trust me, I know from Michael Stoops that it does not have fillters, it's not a glaze :)
Alex N We all know clear coats aren't all the same, my clear coat is very hard where yours is probably soft or medium. So yes I needed something a bit more aggressive and faster cutting. So getting haze out with UC was like tackling a bear. And the additives used definitely did a good job masking up imperfections lol
The softer m205 finishing polish removed deep marring in my paint in a minute, where the UC compound couldn't even touch it using wool, people say theirs not much difference between the two, to me the difference is night and day
Golden VinylSpin the flat pads are firm, pads with a curvy surface is medium, blue pad is soft.. the blue pad pad is actually too soft to do any polishing, but it’s good to spread wax using an cordless drill after a wash :)
Should see what they go for at Alibaba in packs. But the seller has to make some kind of profit. I just wish it was American made instead of China. 😆 OMG that's what my stang looks like in the back. Subscribed and been looking for a vid for these pads. 👍 Bro put some on the pad and then tap it on the body so it doesn't go everywhere.
The compound and polish isn't aggressive enough to burn through.. Besides these pads are only 3 inches in diameter, and the speed is about 1800 rpm lol it doesn't even get warm, I am scared to sand it though. That's why I mentioned their were still scratches..those are permanently their unfortunately :(
+Integra DIY ya I tried to wet sand my truck and it messed up the paint it has all scratches in it. I can't really polish it because the paint is so this it will definitely burn through.
+Dodge 318 Cummins post a video of what the scratches look like? Did you keep the block sander nice and flat? Moving in a straight back and forth motion?

It’s been a year do you still need to know what it’s called? I’m not really sure it just came with mine that I bought around a year ago. Maybe a polishing drill adapter idk.
Frustrating and stuck to say the least.. They fixed what was bad and destroyed what was excellent lol but as longest they repainted the quarter panel I'm happy I can move on and try my best to fix the damage
Simon99 I still use these pads to this day, and they are excellent for spot repairs. You won’t regret! Just make sure you clean them after every use, and store them sealed in a zip-lock bag 👍👍
@Jon exactly, Velcro is a brand.. i could be wrong but I thought hook and loop was a more General term.. but trust me.. if I would’ve said it’s Velcro, someone would’ve corrected me by saying it’s not Velcro it’s a general hook and loop lol
Yes they do. Theirs a soft medium and firm pad.. use the medium pad with your choice of polish and work one section at a time. Make sure the surface is extremely clean before.
Integra DIY i was thinking of buying a polisher with hex pads for $260. Maybe il give this a try...to see if i can save money. I hope these pads dont cause scratches on the car and give a mirror shine. Can you vouch?
Toronto_NDN these cheap Chinese pads don’t replace a DA polisher and special polishing pads.. These pads are only 3” in diameter.. and attach to a drill..they’re only meant for spot correction.. to probably polish a hood or a large door, quarter panel etc, a proper polisher will be wanted to save time and get a better result. Let’s say when you get into your car, and your leg brushes against your paint while you enter and you develop swirls and some light marring, you can repair that 1’x1’ area with these pads. They do make larger 5” pads in the same style you can try out .. they will save time due to being a larger diameter.

Anyone know what wool pad is used for
Can I use angle grinder instead of drill machine
No, the attachment is only for a drill, also I think an angle grinder would be too much RPM for these small little pads
Integra DIY thanks, is there is any way where I can control the rpm of the angle grinder
Richard Paul I have an angle grinder but I use it for welding and rather not deal with the impurities deposited in the paint. Sigh...
