You have another channel yeah? ForrestKnight? Dev stuff? My world's colliding if so. I'm a software engineer and I also built a boat from the stringers up about 5 yrs ago. 18' mako center console. If that's not you, then maybe I'm just getting old. Either way, nice vid. Looking forward to seeing the build progress.
should thave glassed the rib / bulk head separately. use it as a spanner to let stringers set up but i would have glued and glassed it seperate from the stringers. I'm no expert but thats a lot of wood in contact with wood.
Did you do your stringers with the boat on the trailer? I’ve heard mixed things I have my boat on a bunk trailer and I need to do the stringers and floor
Yea, I did. I heard the same things but this hull is very thick so I wasn’t worried. But I also left the outer stringers intact while installing the inner stringers to prevent any potential hull warp.
Much appreciated. Honestly, I had enough trouble cleaning off these tools so the resin wouldn't harden up on it. I feel the mixer would be even more difficult lol

Thank you for not adding music
Tea , desert , and soup spoons are good for filleting .
Thanks for the video. I just acquired a 28 foot dusky center console. No clue what to do yet.
just started the series really cool to see. I live round the Chesapeake and would love to do something similar with a sea ox one day.

haha yup that's me! Too funny that those two worlds collided. Much appreciated.
Just asking. Do you need to put cork or some material between the hull and the wood stringers. Just for hard spots?
Some people recommend it. I just used the peanut butter. Plus this hull is incredibly thick, so I’m not too worried.

I get what you're saying. If one stringer were to get wet, it'd be isolated from the rest. Maybe next time.
Check that bow ring out real good while you've got the access.

Nice brother you should you use a drill and a mixer nice boat though thanks

Did you coat your stringers in anything? Also your video is like the best one I’ve seen. Every other one is too drawn out and irritating lol
Much appreciated! In the video after this, Episode 3, I encapsulated the stringers in fiberglass & resin.
lol, time to get to work...
Your video makes me want to take on a boat project. So thanks for making my life arguably worse. :D
Trust me, I know the feeling! Glad I could add to the temptation lol
You don't know what your doing don't put out a video people will copy you
Lol this isn’t a tutorial. I’ll put out whatever videos I want
