Thank you, I've owned and loved this watch for 6 months and because of the limited info on this watch I never knew I could adjust that GMT bottom left sub dial!
Hey Thank-you so much for sharing this video. I've been interested in this reference for a while. I have put my name down on the reverso chronograph waitlist. It's real nice to see a follow up and purchase information. Really comprehensive and with a great review. Thank-you.
I'm glad you liked it. I try to do long term reviews with watches, because ownership isn't about being spending time with a watch for a week and sending it back. Stay tuned for more!
There are many different Reverso's, and this is definitely one of my favorites. I love the day/night indicator on both faces, the offset dial, the ability to jump forwards and backwards, the big date, the small seconds, and the 8 day power reserve. What I don't get is why they printed every single hour marker digit, except the 2. They cut off the 4 and the 7, and could/should've done the same with the 2, but it's completely omitted. I'm torn between this one, and the current duoface with the rectangular small seconds, and the Clous de Paris texturing on the GMT side. The new version looks cleaner, but this version is more impressive and more practical imho.
Love the review! Do you ever feel like you wished you'd gone for a smaller Reverso (~42'ish mm lug-to-lug)? I have a the large Duoface (47mm lug-to-lug), and I second-guess myself, with me having a 6.5 inch wrist.
Glad you liked it! I have a 6" and like the Grand Reverso size. In contrast, I prefer my Cartier Tanks to be in the smaller side. The Reverso case is pretty flexible imo
On the black dial for local time, the hands have lume - but do any of the indices have lume? My guess is at least the 3, 6, 8, 12 are lumed numerals. Are there any other lumed markers on the black dial?
Thanks so much for letting me know. This information is not available anywhere else on the web. How is the legibility in the dark? Are you able to tell the time at all, considering the minimal lume?
@@ChezDoesStuffit's easy to understand the purpose: many newby watch enthusiasts have bought vintage or neo-vintage watches and made up stories how they inherited this and thst piece from their fathers and grandfathers. anyhow, I have the same reference and really enjoyed your review!👌 today, one can't buy any Reverso that offers such a package under 20K. BTW great strap, where did you get it? 👍
@@NBG80 ah that makes sense. In my case, it was a boring acquisition from watchuseek. I drew the strap, inspired by CF ones, and had eBay store Cheergiant produce it.

This is the best Watch ever!
Excellent review of this JLC.

What is the retail prize?

3, 6, 9, 12 are correct, plus the 2 subdial hands that don't really do much.

@@doukhobar you're welcome. You can tell the time easily in the dark, but the lume doesn't last that long - probably 20 minutes, tops.
Did you polish the Reverso at service? I’m amazed at how “clean” the case it is for being 10 years old!
Yes, it was unfortunately polished when I sent it in for service. I forgot to tell them not to. But glad you like how it looks!
Just out of curiosity, how did it look before polishing? Curious to how it holds up to real use. Any pictures from before service?
It's wonderful but I still don't get their implementation. To me I want local time and home time, not plus or minus hours.
You haven’t posted anything for 8 months. What happened?
Just grad school, honestly. Hope to have a few new videos during summer.
The is one also for travel, the home time squadra
What is this watch's product number?
JLC Ref 240.8.18
@ChezDoesStuff Thank you very much!
Never know that this kind watch exist
Recent Reversos have lost their charm as compared to the older beauties.
Yes, the recent ones seem like cookie-cutter iterations, varying only in color schemes that are released in staggered windows.
Don't get me wrong, but do you have proof that you got this Reverso back then in 2014?
I fail to see what purpose that may serve, but the service paperwork shown in the video shows early 2015 dates. 😄
