    Fantastic! Thank-you! A reformer workout where you use the reformer, not that modern rubbish where your doing squats over it while holding hand weights. That's what gym is for, not why I bought a reformer. This excellent core dominsated work out was great. Some more repetition of this and I can see myself losing weight without hurting myself. I'm one year post op spinal surgery.

    I was very soar after this workout. Loved it! However, I was sad that this video stopped in the middle of class. The class abruptly ended after the long box series. It did not provide a full class or a cool down. I’m assuming it was a technical mistake because I can’t imagine a Pilates instructor NOT giving us a cool down.

    Thank you gone adventuring (I don't know your first name!) for this great workout. I am nursing 2 fractures in my right ankle (with 3 torn tendons and 1 torn ligament) I cannot bear very much weight on the ankle even now at 15 weeks out from the injury. But, I was able to do so much of this lovely workout because it didn't include weight bearing on the ankles. Have very much missed my pilates with this injury. but felt renewed & inspired today! 🙏🤗

      Hi Heathar, thank you so much for the kind message. I'm so sorry that you had those fractures. It must be really hard! Though it seems you are making progress in your recovery which is awesome!!! I had may injuries and this is why I came to Pilates in the first place. It really helped me a lot and I am so thankful for that. That's also why I started becoming a teacher and doing this channel, so your message encourages me a ton! I'm sure if you continue to do this workout and others, you will see your progress. So see you soon ;)

    It's really good to see a series in a full flow and rhythm 👍🏻. I love this video, I am a visual learner and this puts a lot of what I am being taught into perspective and full action - a 1-1 can never give you a view of full flow, unless there's a demonstration of some sort that you can go to. I get the break down of movement from my teacher but the full flow from videos. It's so great people share their work💕👍🏻💕

  • @khooton6392
    @khooton6392 3 года назад +1

    I really like this class and the order of the exercises. Although I an intermediate/adv, I found that you talk so fast and go through the exercises without doing a lot of cueing, especially for long and short spine which really need to be done slowly and methodically. I know its flow so maybe I just need to pause so I can actually get 8 done at a slower pace.

    • @GoneAdventuring
      @GoneAdventuring  3 года назад +1

      Hi K, I value your feedback, thank you. As this class was taught for my subscribers and is a preview of such here, many are very well versed with these exercises and expect and like a quicker flow. I agree that these exercises do demand cueing through especially when newer to them and they can certainly be taken much slower. This class was simply meant to be a much quicker paced class for those who know the exercises. Thank you for taking it. I do hope you enjoyed. And feel free to try more directly on the website in their full versions. You can find slower paced classes as well. 🙂🌸

    • @GoneAdventuring
      @GoneAdventuring  3 года назад +1

      Hi there, thanks for leaving me a comment, I'm glad you enjoyed it! In general Pilates exercises are repeated for 8-10-12 reps max and just once through, then we move to the next exercise. This is the classical approach.

    It started out nice, but it quickly moved into advanced territory. If you're beginner to intermediate some of this class might not be for you. Gone adventuring, if this is meant to be for all levels you should really offer modifications.

    • @GoneAdventuring
      @GoneAdventuring  3 года назад +1

      Hi Nicole, I'm glad you were able to enjoy the beginning, I'm sorry the rest of class became too advanced for you. I do try to give modifications throughout the exercises, and as this is a classical flow covering classical exercises, none of which are advanced, but some are yes intermediate, I can see how it would be challenging for one's first time trying them, especially as I wasn't instructing for first timers. Thank you for your comment, it is valuable to others who may also be trying some of these classical exercises for their first time. Thanks for following and moving with me. We have a brand new series on our website called the Beginner Series, both on the Mat and the Reformer, this might be a great fit, be sure to check it out! www.goneadventuring.com/beginner-pilates-series/

      Hello Nicole,
      I don't know if this helps, but
      I am a beginner in Classical Pilates in the UK.. My teacher pushes and challenges me in all of these movements and I am overweight too. I love the challenge and if my body can't quite do something, we stop and build up, break things down. I loved this video because I can't see full flow from my teacher, it would cost me a lot to just observe all of this in a lesson lol. So I found this video really useful to see how someone links and flows through classical movement. Short Spine took me 8 lessons so if anyone else is reading and is overweight and scared, don't be discouraged, embrace challenge but always in the safety of your tutor's hands okay👌🏻💕

      @@GoneAdventuring Thanks for taking the time to write back. I've been practicing reformer pilates for a few years, but had to take a break as the gyms closed here in Australia due to lockdown. So, definitely lacking that core strength. I think I was also caught off guard by the quick transitions and faster flow offered in this video, but I'll be back to give it a try once I'm feeling a bit stronger.
