Def didn’t expect The Art of Peer Pressure to be one of the ones that made you cry but I definitely get it. This album changed my life because to a much lesser extent I was Kendrick in this album at the time of its release. I was caught up in drugs, almost arrested (thank god the cop was cool) and drifting further and further from my family, all to impress “the homies.” Now “the homies” are all gone. We love you Path!!! So proud of your growth!!!

Your reactions are a unique breath of fresh air in a rather over saturated genre. You’re providing a perspective we don’t often get as you seem very musically inclined, and you also offer your raw emotional reactions which is appreciated. Another great video. GKMC was an experience to me growing up. As young black kid growing up, I listened to a lot of rap but the moment I heard good kid for the first time I was flooded with emotions cause I felt like a rapper was finally speaking to me. Sing about me had me in tears the first time I heard it. Sadly, death's always been a huge part of my life, from murders to illness. I was 16 by the first time I heard the album & my father was the latest to go. He had MS. We bonded off of hip-hop. My oldest brother was murdered 4 years before that. I was left with such a bittersweet feeling after I heard the song but that third verse was so cathartic to me at that time. Idkw but it made me closer to music like this. Made me feel less alone.

You said in either this or the mr morale reaction that you wear your heart on your sleeve and now I'm constantly thinking about how true that is, with every word and emotions of your reactions. When you're starting to cry - seemingly out of nowhere, before you explain something super personal that just makes me feel for you. I hope you're ok.
Even in your most vulnerable moments, you're focusing on protecting and looking out for your young audience. I hope you're ok.
I could write so much more about my thoughts, but they're all very similar just written in different ways; you're one of the most caring people on this planet. Whatever success you have, you deserve more. Whatever fulfilment you feel, you deserve more. And if the universe doesn't give it to you right away when you wish for more, you have over hundred thousand people that will wish for you.

10 years later this album still means so much to me. I grew up with a lot of survivor's guilt, something you'll hear Kendrick speak on more if you listen to TPAB. This was reality for my cousins and best friends growing up in tough parts of Philly or Reading PA while I by a stroke of luck was born to the part of the family tree that made it out.
This album is like a piece of some of them for me. A way to always have the loved ones I lost who tried their best to be the good kid but either couldn't make it out alive or are doing time behind bars.
I'll always love my brothers and will always be grateful to Kendrick that in my opinion he chose to not only tell his story but their story too.

I can never get enough of your reactions, everything about the way you get into the songs and how you decide to even re listen after the initial reaction and add in what you've taken away or learned makes your channel the best to watch. You never cease to amaze me at how you make the songs feel more intimate and how you give real raw reactions its just always a treat to watch. Your analysis of what the meanings of songs could be, in my opinion I think you've reworked the react style of videos into something more that what they normally are much love, can't wait to see you rise up more I have no doubt that you will.

I really appreciate the way you listen to music. Not only looking through other source material the artists released alongside the project but taking the time to tailor you mindset to the album. I think the artists who make the art would appreciate that as well. You have a very thoughtful approach to their discography and I appreciate the time to put into listening. (lowkey i wanna go back and change the amount of times I said "appreciate" but this isn't an essay lol)

Just wanted to show my appreciation for these reactions, so well edited and well made of course, but most importantly I enjoy them because I am very different to you! I'm a 20 year old straight guy, and because of how I've grown up and who I am, I have a completely different perspective on these songs than you do. I also tend to be pretty cynical, so when you freely express emotion when listening to this stuff, I feel more free to feel this shit too, if that makes any sense. So, thank you for providing us with a new perspective and broadening my and others appreciation of the music and just life in general. Peace
PS: No he is not exaggerating when he is talking about his reaction to those texts LOL but it is all on a scale, a lot of non asexual people would still have a much more mild reaction than Kendrick did

I think you missed the point of backseat freestyle, specifically the line "wifey girlfriend and mistress", the entire song is just him freestyling in the backseat of his friends car. He's not really cheating on any girl, he's just talking shit as a carefree kid. Experiencing this album after Mr morale seems kinda disorienting since this is when he was still just a child.
