The automatic M2 will destroy it. On Hagerty it just demolished the Dark Horse, Emira, and the Supra in the quarter mile. All cars were manual also including the M2.
I love my ZVB 6 speed but after driving the auto, the auto definitely feels quicker. its just a gearing thing i guess. its a lot easier to be in the powerband more often with an 8 speed auto. no regrets but it is just something i noticed. love the car. just bought a set of winter wheels and tires that i am going to have to put on myself in the freezing cold, which i'm not look forward to
That’s hilarious. When I first started watching the video I was like “that looks like vegas”. At the end of the video, you freaking hit the roundabout that I live 1 minute away from 😂 Love the vid. About to get my M4 Comp break in service soon!
Love all your videos man. Congratulations on your M2. I just got mine a little over one month ago and it's at 1050 miles. I'm curious to know if your car felt "slower" before the service or if the pedal response is any different after the break in period. I figure I'll have the service done by the end of next week but I hear from random people who own M2s, M3s, and M4s that they either do or don't feel a difference. Thanks!
The youtube algorithm must be spying on me - I've got my break-in servicing tomorrow on my M4 Comp xDrive! Pretty stoked to get to try out launch control and really feel this car open up
All this break in thing to me seems pointless specially 1,200 miles, specially when most dealers techs that i have seen with my own eyes drive the cars hard when doing PDI. Also lets not forget the customer test drive!
if you put aftermarket intakes on these S58 engines, they actually will pick up power on stock tune, unlike the B58s. Judging on this video, it most definitely is faster than your old mustang GT, and my Supra for sure.
The GT sounded amazing and was a great value since I bought a base but it is miles better on every other aspect. I’ll be making a video on why I picked it over a Dark Horse in the future.
No doubt it's faster than a GT...it's faster than the new dark horse even. Weight is similar but has significantly more horse power. The G87 makes around 530 crank horse power according to the dyno chart on Dinan and 460 to the wheels.
Nice car and color. I just got my ZVB G87 but in 6spd manual and so far I’ve installed the Radiator mesh grill from Radiator grille store and blacked out M2 badge from AutoID. Also got the MMR weighted billet shifter knob from IND-Distribution and also just ordered the Mishimoto oil cooler guard from Kies and last but not least got the PSI mid pipe from Precision Sport Industries plus the AST HAS kit and Macht Shnell spacer 15mm in the front and 18mm in the rear. All the work being done by Precision in Florida. Last but not least will be all the carbon bits and pieces all from NWcarbonhaus. Super excited to see the car all transformed when it’s all done.
My man really going to claim he was 30-40% throttle and pulled a 13 second QM. Come on... Do you think you drive a 9-second car or something? No disrespect to the M2 but I can't buy that you think you were under 40% throttle in any car running a 13 second qm.
They have the throttle mapping ramped up in m2 mode so maybe even though I was 30-40% throttle, it may have been giving more. But I was using paddles shifting at 4500 and yes I have a dragy verified time at 13.3. You don’t have to believe me though
I wish I was rich enough to buy a G87 M2. I know the best wing to buy for the car as well. A company recently put out a new wing that looks similar to the Darwinpro wing on the F22 M2. Better rims and that spoiler wing I'm talking about will make it amazing. The car doesn't need much to look better. It already looks people. People are hating on it for no reason. The guys in New York already did 9 seconds on the drag strip with it. I saw a new video of that last week. I'm aiming for the 2020-2021 M240i xDrive as my next car. If I magically get super rich, I will get the G87 M2.
Really want to see a drag/roll race between your two cars (esp given golf r is tuned)😄
It won’t be close at all in a roll. Drag would be fun though

Nice! Die hard manual fans will still enjoy the manual over the auto but this car, the auto is so good.
Ok, my first thought was Las Vegas area. My second thought was Phoenix. I was correct on the first one.
I’m only in Las Vegas part time. Mexico often.

I wouldn’t know because I didn’t floor it before break in

Congrats! My buddy has one (stay tuned for a race) and that thing launches HARD!

My car had 13 miles when I got it so 🤷♂️
@@JVette01 the one i test drove had 8. 12 after test drive. Fully broken in after my test drive. I fully let her warm up.

Gt looks just as fast if not faster to me
Stay tuned, already raced 2. Just haven't posted the videos yet.
Quick tip. You can also press and hold the down shift paddle in the Golf R and it will down shift into optimal gear to race or whatever you want to do
Yeah I know. On the golf I can be in “manual” mode and it will still auto upshift which is why I do it differently on that one
@@JVette01 Yea the only mode that will not auto upshift is Nurburgring mode
That and drift mode.
@@JVette01 Good to know. Makes sense for sure. Don’t want auto upshift mid drift haha
Another great video! How do you like it compared to the GT? Been looking at M340s recently
The GT sounded amazing and was a great value since I bought a base but it is miles better on every other aspect. I’ll be making a video on why I picked it over a Dark Horse in the future.
On a side note, an M340 is a perfect daily!
Was your gt auto?
Its a whole nother animal isnt it, especially compared to the golf r ,its a beast of a car.
It is completely different! Stay tuned for comparison videos and Mexico runs :)
@@JVette01 for sure will
First oil change so soon. Do they recommend it? Or did you just do it?
It'll be just for the M cars. My 23 M240i's oil change is recommended after one year or 10,000 miles.
This. See description
You have my almost dream garage 😮
Thanks haha. It’s definitely mine :)

How does it feel compared to the mustang?
Better in every way except sound
I’ll have my first drive Tomorrow after the break in service. Great video, thanks for showing the MPH!!!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching
Reached 1200 on mine in late August. In storage now for the winter. Would love to see a dragy pull, 0 to 60 and quarter mile using launch control.
Already filmed that video. Will be posted next month sometime! It’s quick ;)

exciting stuff.
what are you using to record your POV?
GoPro. I use a clip mount and clip it to the bill of a hat
Definitely faster than a gt 10-speed
M2 auto 60-130 a good sec faster than the GT in similar conditions.
Go check out the Dragy leaderboard to see.
Already raced 2. It is indeed faster by a pretty significant margin
@@JVette01 Nice !! 😁

Found it thx lol
Is it true the 2024 M2 received a little boost in HP over the 2023?
Never heard of that, but it feels quick!
No it's not true. Same power. May get a bump for 2025 model
I am thinking about buying this, also a MB AMG GT
The AMG GT is only twice the price 🤣
@@JVette01 prob a used one, ive been debating a 2017 GT and an M2 for a little while myself
