  • We are starting a contest on our Facebook page ( BenatarGiraldo) where each week we share a video of us talking about important songs from our career and asking you to share your own stories on how the song has become part of your lives. We’re giving away signed copies of the new album, but what we really want is to just hear from everyone since it’s just as much your music as ours now!
    ---
The new LIVE "35th Anniversary Tour" release is out now as 2-CD, DVD and combo formats and is available on iTunes smarturl.it/benatargiraldo-35th at Amazon at amzn.to/1EzGVf3 as well as Best Buy, Walmart, and your other favorite music retailers!

I was in my early twenties when I discovered you guys. To this day you're still one of my favorites. I have a little sister named Chris, and we used to belt out your songs together. My favorite was fire and ice, and her favorite was treat me right. So many years have passed, and my sister Chris is developing demencia, but I can still bring her around when I talk about your songs. You two are ironic and will always be one of the tops for her and I. Keep up your great sounds, and God bless you both!

Girlfriend you inspired me soooo much when I was a teen listening to your music! It was one of the roughest times in my life, I was adopted at 11, had to try and fit in a really shy Kentucky country girl thrown into the crazy state of NJ, got bullied a lot! It’s no surprise my favorite song was Hit me with your best shot! The music helped me survive mentally! Thank you!!!

That’s so true ! Music is like a Time Machine in the sense that it takes you back to moments in your life and you remember so clearly… Even my father who has dementia will remember music dates and times … It’s wild how music effects us …

Many songs are revolving doors in that they are experienced in different time periods throughout life. Love, pain, scares that never let the ugly in the world kill the beauty inside, so they try again the revolving door in hope of getting off on the right side of true belongings that come together as one to be complete.
    Much love,
    L. Sulkes

You created a legacy as your music lives, the memories of where, when and how your music came into reality in not only my life but everyone I know. I had a short brief period in the 1980's where I worked on air in Utah and played heartbreaker and shadows of the night in the song rotation. I met Neil in a restaurant in Vegas about 2007 and loved the humility and down to earth man that you are. You asked me then what I thought of your music and again I state the phrase love it! Look forward to seeing you again in Vegas and would love to meet Pat in person! Thank You is not enough for the inspiration you created through music!!!

I grew up listening to Pat Benatar, and my late mother was a fan. Pat was the Queen of Rock n Roll in those days, and her husband is a great guitarist. She's one of a kind, and she has great pair of legs too. ❤

I'm still playing your music cuz it's just great music. I was in my early 20s when I first heard your incredible voice and guitar work. I still love it today! Rock on!

I was 13 years of age when I saw the 'Promises in the Dark' video in 1981! Neil's guitar solo was an inspiration and one of the reasons why I still play guitar today!
And that's coming from a Thrash/Speed/Power/ Black Metal Freak!
Hats off to you both 😎👍

I am still, after all this time, waiting for "Spaghetti dinner at your house!" Seven the Hard Way tour Cleveland, Ohio there was some sort of power/sound failure at the arena. This concert was my first ever. We were on the floor row JJ, if I remember correctly the tickets were like $35.00. Although the album contained a movie soundtrack, it seems to be your lost album. I love the song "Run Between the Raindrops" from it. While every one can name your hits, I like to catch people off guard with other tracks that may not have been popular.

I do not know if you (Pat and Neil) read these comments... but here you go. I am 53 years old and I was just discovering what I liked about rock music in the early 80's. I like a whole lot of stuff from AC/DC to Cheap Trick to Michael Jackson to Pat Benatar!! I loved that you took your beautiful voice and you wanted to ROCK!!! So cool. I later learned you were dating the guitar player lol... and the rest is history. Your music in the 80's I don't know if I call it rock or pop... its a bit of both. That is cool with me. My most favorite bands are a blend of pop/punk/rock. Cheap Trick and Nirvana fit that mold... and Benatar/Giraldo is awesome as well. I want to make a strong point here as well... it is so cool that the two of you are CONVENTIONAL NICE PEOPLE. Hollywood and the recording business tends to reward the idiots of society and I mean the feminist communist socialists. I don't know your politics... and that is kind of the point. Keep doing what you do. I would love to meet the both of you someday. SNAP james2020jj
