One of the best songs of the 80's.
The guy with the gold tooth… perfect for that part. Classic song.
It took them 6 times before they said this was a hit. Huh???? Took me less than 6 seconds!

This song is iconic! Introduced my 9yo daughter to it. You’ve got another fan!
Loved the music during my late teens early twenties. Wish this style of music would return as modern music is not music but a lot of screaming and rapping.
Love Is A Battlefield is the definition of perfection, nothing that you change about this song can make it better, anything removed would make it worse, this song is the definition of what 80's rock represents, as a kid growing up in the 80's the video was ahead of it's time , it literally revolutionized MTV .
It takes me back to a wonderful time in my life. It was a great pop tune that help defined the 80s that and acting like a chicken in the video lol
This was massive in Australia where I am from at the time. I loved the song and as a teenager obviously loved Pat 🙂the drum pattern is so so memorable as is the video.
I only discover this now. It is so interesting to hear the history of one of my favourite songs ever. I remember seeing the videoclip on Belgian tv for the first time as a kid and i was mesmerized. The song made we want to dance, rock, sing along and I was rooting for the character in the video. I don't know why this song touched me so much. Was it also the video? I was very close to my older sister and I always felt sad when in the beginning of the video she waved her little brother goodbye. My sister also liked the song and when she passed away later this song always made me think of her.

she still looks so tough.. like the one you want to walk down a long dark alley with when you're a kid cuz you believe very strongly that no one is going to mess with her.

Hi Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo: I think that you could create a modern dance or even rap-mix dance version of the song Love Is A Battlefield that would make a lot of money...and be currently popular. People would be forced to check out the Pat Benatar version vs the new version to see which is better and which they like better. you should find likely candiadtes who can reate this for you and produce the new version. I woulddo it myself but I am busy with law school.
