Thank you all your videos, but especially this one. Before even trying on a customers vehicle I got a junk one and did 80 mini bulls, when I went to do it on a customers it starred I couldn't understand. Thanks again for sharing your experiences and knowledge.

I can't tell you how many have done the same thing, you want to pop a bullseye and it becomes a star, there is two reasons for that. 1. you may be drilling too close to the end of the crack, a quarter inch is a good rule of thumb, and 2. you may be drilling a little too deep or not making the hole wide enough. I used to be able to drill deeper than I am now, on the older glass it's fine, but all this newer glass from about 2015 and newer is thinner and much easier to ruin when drilling and popping a chip. And any time you work on a customer car it's just more stressful and we make mistakes. Keep practicing and you will be fine. I might suggest going to a junk yard and see if they will let you practice on the windshields they can't sell, they will have lot's of them, and you can find ones that are cracked and figure out how far from the end of the crack you need to drill to get a perfect bullseye, and sometimes you may need to press on the glass from the inside just a little to get the line to meet the chip. But that is way better than having a star break and trying to fill that and a crack at the same time.
