  • www.chip-happe... On this channel I do rock chip repairs and crack repairs in windshields. These videos are not intended to teach you anything about the business or doing repairs, it's just for entertainment purposes. This channel is about my business and what I do and how I do repairs, if you are thinking about starting a business such as this, it's best to take a class to learn the proper way of doing repairs and then make sure you get the proper state registration and licenses that apply in your area, and insurance. Again this channel is not intended to teach you anything it's here to provide entertainment and to show you as a customer what to expect from one of my repairs.

Well...I think you forgot to remove your crack expander when you're trying to drill additional holes....and, it cracked further because your crack expander is putting pressure on the crack. That crack will just continue to move with pressure on it from the inside. Crack probably just missed your bullseye the first time. Crack repair is unpredictable and a pain in the arse! Props for doing the videos...not many have the courage to show their work in progress. Been repairing for over 25 years and appreciate you doing this for others.

you know you are exactly right, I had to watch the video again to see my mistake in leaving the crack expander on the inside. Good eye, but in the end it worked out so that was a good thing, but yup I screwed up and left the crack expander pressed against the windshield when drilling the other holes, and that will cause it to keep cracking. Thank you for seeing that, now that is burned into my brain and I won't be doing again any time soon...lol

@@ChipHappens-fz1fl Glad it worked out for you. Cracks are stressful, especially working right in front of the customer.

they really are, I actually don't mind the customer being there to be honest, it shows that they are taking an interest in the repair process instead of just thinking they know everything already...lol
