- This is the first generation battery hammer drill by BOSCH, made in 1984. I got this tool from a pile of rubbish from Japan. It was abandoned for two reasons. The first reason is the original battery uses 20 old NiMH batteries, equal to 24 volts, while the new technology is Li-ion battery. The second reason is the power switch, it is expensive and very difficult to find. Only gear system are good. I decide to repair this tool by replacing new power switch, build new battery system and rewinding new armature from 24v to 18v.

Nice work! But you forgot the Batterymanagmentsystem. Bosch have it, in the machines, not in the accupack. If you want to work with the machine you need to protect the accu against undervoltage and failure. But for Showroom it doesn´t matters.
I don't think the replacement switch will last long, considering it's only capable of a 16A load
It would have ben fine if he didn't glue a rubber pad to the heatsink.
and that motor put out 11A in hammer mode while no load.....need double battery set up so the battery last longer

the aluminum angle bracket was original from the factory? meant to support a large battery pack at the front?

Как сделана база для аккумулятора (доводка алюминиевого кронштейна, скоба из нержавейки) - претензий никаких нет, красиво.
Но с кнопкой - это прям беда и выглядит очень колхозно, на уровне трэш-мастеров.

You mean the battery capacity, with larger battery capacity, you will use it longer.

i'm sure he does it off camera, this video have many skip that we dont see like no cleaning the body but after assembly the body is cleaned already

I'll let you into a little secret:
It's a 3 stage test.......NOT a quick "buzz test" round the commutator...
