i watched the video and saw great photos. I also have this machine but I cannot say that I have obtained the same results. in what mode do you shoot. if you can give me advice with the settings and the various parameters thanks
have a question i set up my canon power shot as directed but i take a lot of shots for ebay which require a minimum of 500 x 500 resolution but the way camera is set up they max out at 480 x 480 is there a way i can keep your setting but increase the resolution so i can comply with ebay resolution standards, i am not a camera wiz and very much appreciated ur camera settings thx very much!!!!!!!!
@@peterc11364 Stepping back and zooming into the objects is effectively the same thing as the optical zoom corrects for the focus. If you want a bokeh effect, you have to set the aperture to the lowest number (the widest lens opening) and get the subject within the focal length. Focus on the subject, and depending on the sensor size and image processing, you can get somewhat of a background blur.
@@heidisomstevenson I would recommend aperture priority as the majority of adjustments you need is aperture and the other settings should be handled by the camera fine. There is a reason why the majority of professional photographers prefer aperture priority over manual.
You can change that in manual mode or certain other modes that I don't recall off the top of my head. But unless you can't afford a better camera, the SX500IS is pretty much a useless potato when you are not in abundant light.
Thanks for the video. It was most helpful!

once I had the iso locked on to 100, I let the shutter and aperture be automatic.

Is it worth to buy this camera?
I have power shot a2200 so please tell me setting for these kon of pictures!!!
Just learn the basics of manual photography, and you will be set :)
basics include:
ISO
Aperture
Shutter Speed
Focal range
White Balance
Thank you
Thanks
Can you please tell me how to reduce noise in it
The best way to reduce noise of a camera is to use a tripod, use P-mode and set iso to 100.
Increase the aperture (lower number, but widest lens opening), set the shutter speed higher, and reduce the ISO.
Hey my camera doesn’t blur the background like yours.
There are videos to show you how to blurr the background in photos 🙂
How the heck do I see the pictures I took, or my gallery I can't find it on my camara
The blue button above the wheel
The button next to the trash icon
Get a memory card or press on the button on the right hand side if ur camera
what is the maximum shutter speed ?
othmane el hanouch it's 15 seconds which really sucks
PenguinGamerz yeah I had a powershot 510 and it was not admirable
@@othmaneelhanouch9680 The cheap old Powershots were potatoes
Can you add a external mic to it?
No. Not this model.
pee cee are you sure??
Can I record videos in program mode and can I still do these settings in manual mode?
Video function of this camera is independent from all the other modes, it's preset.
was the camera set to manual or auto?
Camera was set to P mode for forcing iso=100.
P, Program mode, is a good mix.

What about WB and Colour?!

@@vivek_v It's available in Manual mode, that's true, my phone now takes better pics than this with a Google Camera Mod.
I have a problem I just can’t turn off my flash. Can you help with that?
Put the flash down. Like just push it down
@@tommyd227 ok I figured it out I have to almost slam it down for it to actually display closed flash
@@marcmiyamoto Nice
How did you get the bokeh
Step back then zoom in. Thanks for watching.
