VERY HELPFUL - Thanks! On my 2004 Odyssey, the lower coil spring insulators were visibly disintegrating, ordered the uppers as well. My bump stops were both in good condition. One tip: the brake line on the 2004 is attached to the lower control arm with 2 10mm bolts - remove them and it allows the arm to swing down (with a push against the spring) and not have the brake line tethering the whole assembly up. This video made it a straightforward, simple job - with all the hacks (mark coil orientation prior to removing, use floor jack to take tension off bolt). Thanks again!
Thank you for another great video - short and to the point! Getting ready to replace these on our 2010 Ody soon. New ones are Moog with variable spring rate for our camper van adventures and potential small RV in future! One question: other videos show completely removing cam bolt and support arm. Why would that be necessary? Is alignment recommended after doing this job? Thanks!
Always great tutorials! Thank you! Could you please shows us how to replace the rear lower trailing arm on an odyssey 3rd gen? Bushing is cracking. Thank you!
Great video thanks! Question, if I want to replace both rear sroing cushions, do you just (2) of 52744-TK8-A00? I would imagine the same cushion fits both sides? Only thing I seen online it's says R Rear
@@MrRangerZr1 weird... Honda tells me 52748-S0X-A00 for one side(which is on national backorder now) and 52744-TK8-A00 for the other side. Had ordered both and now looks like they are just ending me the one! Barnardi Honda
Are the upper and lower spring cushions the same? I click the links above and they go to the rubber one. My lower is plastic and I would assume the upper is the rubber one. Just trying to make sure I get the right parts. 2012 Honda Odyssey @MrRangerZr1
I'm here cause the bottom part of the rear coil spring (driver side) broke off. My mechanic said no need to replace as the height of the vehicle is still good. Thanks for the video, seems easy to replace. I was hearing groaning sound when going over a speed bump or entering a drive way. Mechanic saw the small bit end of the spring broke off due to rust. He has told me need to inspect every oil change to see if the springs need to be changed. Did you find the MOOG spring to be softer compared to the OEM?
@@MrRangerZr1 thanks. I ordered an AC delco spring last week.. I was told the Moog spring with CC part number is a cargo carrying which may be a harsher ride. Need to buy new isolators, might as well
Are you able to show how to replace a windshield washer nozzle? I drive a Honda Accord 2014 and the right nozzle is clogged up and I tried using a thin wire to unclog it but didn’t work. So I assuming it would be best to replace it.
I wonder what did You do differently than me, because after installing new spring I had to push with my feet the lower control arm while jacking to line it up (opposite ways for L/R side). Was it because I did both at once?
Any clue what that bushing is called where you removed that one screw? Tried removing on my 2012 Odyssey and it was basically stuck to the screw. Assuming brake heat caused it to melt.
What was wrong with the springs? They looked decent. I love the videos. I'd like to recommend a description of why the work is being done, like this one confused me.

I have been watching your videos with amazement how well you care for your vehicles! Love the work- silence is Golden!!!
That's it my brother straight to the point
Nice short and straight to the point
From watching your video when the boots get worn through that's where the clunking noise comes from. Great video 👍
Yes the lower spring cushion wears out. Common problem.

After installing a new spring drive for like a week before checking the alignment

Awesome video. This suspension configuration looks similar to a Pilot.

No top is rubber and bottom is plastic
As always, well done sir!
Are the lower rubber spring seats identical for the left and right sides?
Yes. Links are in the description.
That torque spec is nice
Indeed

I would change out the spring it's rusted and broken, that's dangerous.

I have a video on the civic. More or less same process on the accord: ruclips.net/video/sSrLrgGLSz0/видео.html
Thank you bro. Enjoy watching your videos, very helpful👊🏼
good sir, would a bad brake booster cause a high idle..? I have a 96 civic, I checked for leaks with propane and nothing, thank u..
It could since it would leak out air. Physically check the hoses as well.

Maciek Kwiatkowski just positioning the jack right thats all as you saw
Just did it an hour ago and same thing. I had to push the LCA forward with my foot as I jacked it up
You are such a blessing
Would this fix the shaking the car does around 60mph?
Check your wheel balance and CV axles
Very good video and simple excellent for people like me
Hi, can I ask what could be the reason when we have to replace this?
The springs last forever. In rare cases, the spring may break due to rust. The bumpstop does commonly disintegrate.
@@MrRangerZr1 thanks
@viral videos shops will say that to make money. unless it's severely rusted or broken from impact you don't need to change the springs.
Would this work for a 2009 pilot?
Similar process yes
Excellent video. Thank you.
Are you able to replace the bump stop without removing the springs?
Jeff Dahl no

Get an impact on it. If the bushing is seized you need a new arm.
