To Uninstall Reshade click on the installer select Dead by Daylight and press Uninstall

Make sure you actually run DBD with DX12 OTHERWISE THE GAME WILL CRASH WITH RESHADE ( 2:25 on how to do this)
Reshade is WHITELISTED by Easy Anti Cheat, this means the devs specifically allowed this program to be used.
Using Reshade is NOT Bannable and Allowed

It should be bannable Hunt showdown have made reshade a bannable offense
that's hunt showdown, not dbd. dbd devs said this isnt a cheat. @@Gamer010001
@@Gamer010001 hunt is a game where live or die by your skin, and the game rewards "camouflaging" with the environment, so yeah the bayou is not meant to be reshaded.

A heads up for people using Borgo filter. Stay away from boon zones. It looks like Nemesis' infection, but x10 brighter

You can key bind a turn on filters/turn off filters button which you can press fast in that case. thanks for the heads up!

I'm a PC player, but I really wish BHVR would do something about this from a fairness perspective for the console players. It seems really unfair that PC players essentially have a whitelisted visiblity modifer that can make it far easier to see people in certain situations, that console players couldn't access if they tried.
if your tv has setting for brightness etc you can make your game much better. not good as pc but still very good
theres shit like this for p much every game with a modding community, consoles are just inherently less customizable than pc programs

If reshade crashes my game does that mean my pc cannot handle it? (edit) Didnt see the part where you had to change it to -DX12. It had kept crashing and now works. Thank you hens, your a life saver.

for the people useing a 60 precent keyboard look for the reshade config file and look for the part that says KeyOverlay and change the first number to 219 ( the [{ key )

I needed this. I can barely see shit in some parts of this map since I have a weak eyesight and the interiors on Decimated Borgo, like the dungeon area is so dark you can't even see the torches. Those damned fake light sources. LOL

can someone help me i can't find a fix for this, i tried installing reshade but it doesn't let me open dbd because dxgi.dll or whatever is an 'untrusted file' to EAC and if i delete that then reshade doesn't work so i don't know wtf i'm supposed to do?
do you need to set it up every time dbd updates or does it always stay? and does EAC set off with the new update bc nvidea no longer works

i used reshade filter for a long time but now dbd wont start if i use reshade filter i deinstall all reshade filter and dbd starts again but its like 2016 and nvidia filters dont work either what can i do now?
I tried my best to avoid this, but my eyesight has gotten so bad, I can't see where I'm running at a lot of points and I quite literally can't play against the Dredge.

hey so recently i updated my graphics driver and now my dbd will crash after every game or if im lucky like every third game right after i join back to lobby. Sometimes it rarley crashes on start , is there any fix to this and "-dx12" makes dbd not start at all

as you can see on the internet and people say that is whitelisted by EAC but there is no Official answer from DBD Devs and EAC. There's no even list of whitelisted programs on EAC website. I asked in official DBD Discord server the one guy who have game tutors role said it's whitelisted by eac but he's not have an official whitelist link tho. So i asked "Nea" from DBD Crew, she said we are not allowed ReShade and not recomend to use it

You say this is only necessary if we're using more than one preset. Does that include the ones you included the link to? I'm 100% clueless about this kind of thing, but this is a really useful tutorial!
If it does include the ones you linked to, which maps use which filter?
I switch between 3 filters, "01-Dark Maps" is the default "02-Bright Maps" For Coldwind DDS Eyrie of Crows because they are too bright for the first filter, for Borgo I use a special filter that is 03-Borgo

Is it normal for reshade to cause a major increase in CPU/Memory usage? PC gets hellaaa hot. Specs are decent too. RTX 2070 Super and an i7 9700k
It does increase the gpu load but in my experience it's not a big difference having it on or off. (My pc is 7600x,32gb of ram,6900xt gpu but even on my old 1080ti,32gb ram and 3700x pc it ran fine).
after the new change EAC made to ban geforce experience, does anyone know if using this as a work around could get you banned?

Reshade is detected as a cheat in Hunt Showdown, they banned it a few weeks ago. I hope that this gets removed BUT ONLY if DBD gets a custom in-game filter settings like Tarkov, that would be rad.
crytek blacklisted it via eac making it so the game wouldn't launch if reshade is injected, not that you'd get banned if you still had it mounted. (bypassing methods would though if it gets caught and flagged). Nice to see another bayou hunter that isn't just in the games core community unlike 90% of the game's playerbase, hope to run into you in the bayou sometime! o7

Seems like Dehaze and Gravity / Computegravity don't work right in this, also there's no sharpening so it looks fuzzy, maybe there's something missing that I'm unaware of? I actually had customized them a bit before reinstalling and i think I lost what I had

uhhh so I reinstalled reshade cause no matter what it kept crashing my game, and now none of my filters work. Anybody have any idea why? I use KL's filters, and yes I am running the game on -DX12

Reshade has more customization but thats about it, its the open source version where everyone contributes to make it good

Is this still legal or can you get banned?
The shader stops running when you tab out of dbd and when you switch back to dbd, your frame rate drops into the negatives because the shaders have to be applied again. is there a way you can keep the shader running in the background while you're tabbed out of dbd?

Depending on your monitor you could maybe change the brightness settings and saturation and stuff, It isn't as good as the effects on reshade but it makes it a bit more bearable

Whenever i alt-tab or change reshade a download bar appearing on top of my screen. How can i fix that? It's kinda boring and when i change reshade my fps lowering so much for a short moment. Is there a way to avoid that?
