    At 8:00 the better translation for 혼났어요 would be that you struggled with it because it was so spicy (not that you got punished). I’ve definitely heard people say this kind of expression before.

      Yeah you're probably right. I was thinking of it this way because of my own experience of making kimchi too spicy, but that's not the only way 혼나다 is used.

    lol. thanks for the lesson. I love your comedic segments too. It would be fun to see you act out people who keep misusing words and reacting to the other character's clumsy language use in a comedic way.

    I hear very often 그래 가지고 when people talk to each other. Is it some kind of an expression to fill breaks between to sentences with a long aaaaaannnnnddddd....?

      That's just 그렇다 ("to be so") + this form, so like "because of that" or "because it's like that" or "therefore," etc.
