Hey bud I’m loving how informative your content is. I’m only new to your channel but it’s refreshing that you share so much knowledge.
Keep it coming
Cheers mate, greatly appreciated!
Really good video and advice. Love beach fishing
Yep it’s hard to beat. Cheers!
Love that keeper-hook rubber-stop idea. Brilliant! A 5/0 hook seems huge to me. But it obviously works.
I like your videos because you give lots of detail on the tackle and baits. Well done. 🤓🎣👍
Cheers mate!
cant wait to got time, to spend a weekend at that beach!
good information, thanks
Great vid. Glad I found a local channel to watch👍

Good session and innovation with your rig.
Cheers mate, it works a treat
Great vid mate ..Really enjoyed it .Thank you
Cheers mate!
Ripper video mate !
Never thought of using a float stop to set the keeper hook up where I want it - added that one to my bag of tricks !
Never fished red head , used to end up at stocko mostly or up around Harrington .
Cheers mate, and yeah pretty happy with that little rig, adjustable to fit the bait, enough tension to make sure it all stays straight, and just slides down when setting the hook plus the bead protects the knot so no need to snell the bottom hook. Hard to beat stocko but redhead can have its days, just steer clear in school holidays 👍🏼
New subscriber bro! felt in love with your channel, I'm watching them all hahahah
Cheers bro! Glad your enjoying them
Great knot, the FG, not the easiest to tie - good vid 👍🏻
Yeah best one I know by a long shot. I’ve picked up a couple tips if you use the teeth method. First I tie a granny knot in the end of the braid so I don’t have to pinch so hard with my teeth, and start the first wrap towards you. That way the last wrap is away and the half hitch locks down better 👍🏼
I’ll give that a whirl 👍🏻
Great video mate. Do you have a video on how to attached a "wind on leader", to braid?
Cheers mate! No I’ve stayed away from knot videos cos there are so many out there and the GoPro’s I use have terrible close focus anyway. I almost always use an FG knot for joining braid and leader unless I’m in a hurry the I’ll use the improved Albright knot. The FG is up there in terms of time and effort but is well worth learning. There’s a couple of different methods for it but I find the teeth one easiest especially for light lines 👍🏼
Hey mate, great idea with the float stopper. Could you tell me what tide you were fishing please?
Cheers mate, this was over the high tide
Great video. Like the float stopper idea. How long ago did you actually shoot this?
Cheers Neale, this was all shot 2 weeks ago
Gday, just wanted to chime in and say I think your videos are great and I really enjoy watching them. I’ve caught a lot of tailor and salmon off the local beaches but hardly any bream so was happy to watch and try to learn a bit more. One thing do you think your main hook is a bit big for a bream? I see people using much smaller hooks. Cool idea for your little hook placement with the stopper, I’ll give that a run.
Cheers and thanks.
Cheers mate much appreciated.
I wouldn’t want to go any bigger than a 5/0 if chasing bream specifically, but you’d be surprised what baits they can scoff down and I’ve even got a few big bream on 8/0 hooks meant for jewies. 5/0’s just have a wide enough gape so you can go through the pillie and have some hook showing out the other side but smaller hooks and going in and out the same side would work as well. Using salmon or tailor strips and a smaller hook would be great as well I just wanted to use pillies cos everyone can get them. Cheers again!
@@anglinguntangled thanks a lot for the response, just rewatched the vid haha enjoyed it the second time round too
Great information.
That beach where do you purchase entry ticket or annual pass anywhere (NB) suburb.
Cheers mate. I’m not sure if they’re still available in store but you can get them online now. Just google redhead beach permit
Hey mate, good vids where do u get ur hook stoppers from any info would be great thanks keep up the good work
All good mate just read in ur comments that they r float stops 👍
Cheers mate. What you’re after are float stoppers which are used for luderick fishing and almost every tackle shop would have them including the big name ones. Small to medium size ones will suit line upto 20lb and you can double them up if using thin line and finding one isn’t holding well 👍🏼
Nice video, what's the brand name of the ikejime knife you are using ?
Cheers mate. It’s just a Mares dive knife. Works perfect and can use it for an emergency cutting knife on the kayak
great vid mate. Can you use salmon as slab bait for things like tailor? Ta
Cheers Bert and yes certainly can
@@anglinguntangled ta, great idea the stopper bead mate, came her throught roger osborne vid, subbed
Cheers mate! Yeah works a treat so was pretty pleased when I came up with that one
Hey mate do you cast over the crashes wave or infront of it?
In front he was saying
Do you have to cast far or just cast into the gutter right in front of you ?
Being able to reach the back of the gutter is good cos they might be hanging there but a lot of the time bream are just behind the shore break
Do you find the tide makes a big difference ??
Usually, it doesn’t affect the fishing too much. I think over the high end of the tide works better and on the odd occasion the bream will shut down completely or more likely exit the gutter when the water gets too low
What is the brand of the fish spike, and where from please ?
Is just a mares brand dive knife mate
@@anglinguntangled
Cheers for that. Mares Argo, found it, nice knife/spike.
