As a fresh Airman in the Air Force back in 1996, I was stationed at Grand Forks AFB, ND. We had those OLD Oshkosh WT-2206 roll over snow plows that were originally manufactured in the 1960s, then refurbished twice (1970s & 1980s). They came with four 6V batteries. They were wired together for a 24V system as sell as some 12V circuits. The first thing I learned was to make a diagram of the cables and placement of the batteries. Make sure you marked the positive and negative terminals, as well as number them so you knew exactly where they went. You'll know if you hook any of them up wrong and kick yourself in the ass when you have to replace electrical components and wiring!
I remember the weeks and months long waits in between episodes of this build. Every week wishing my life away hoping this weekend was the weekend we get a continuation episode of Sgt. Rock.
Weld those axle parts with stick. Run a root weld with 6010 rod and then fill/cap with 7018. That will give you a solid weld that should not crack under pressure if done correctly.
Great tip. Folks today don’t understand the versatility and the importance of being able to use different rods with a stick welder and do what you are talking about. I learned most of what I know about welding from an old boilermaker who learned it all old school.
POWERNATION? WTF? Stacy David was the guy who made TRUCKS. You don't even recognize him for what he did. He inspired me to get a project and buy products that pay your fees. He's gone and I watch his new show but I find it offensive that you bring his product back when you're hurting.
TO PN YOU SHOULD OF HAD A FACE MASK ON WHEN YOU CLEANED THE INSIDE. YEARS AGO I READ AN ARTICLE WHERE THEY WERE CLEANING OUT AN ABANDON B-24 BOMBER WITH LOTS OF RAT POOP IN IT. A NUMBER OF THOSE PEOPLE CAME UP WITH A STRANGE DISEASE. [I DON'T REMEMBER THE NAME ANYMORE.]
Instead of restoring that classic work horse back to what it was BUILT to be, it is being so badly butchered it's enough to make anyone that appreciates these old rigs throw up! Would almost been better to have crushed it and kept it away from this maniac!

Hearing that old Power Wagon start almost bought tears to my eyes. It's gotta be the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. I salute you, Sgt Rock 🤘!
There really is nothing like a flattie 6.

Grizzly the 6010 is the red coated one that REALLY has a strong scent right?I used to weld.
Didn't even remove the tire chains before that first test drive, cool.
Best paint color of any TV build I have ever seen.
"no power steering, no brakes, no floor!!"

Tim "The Toolman" Taylor has a love child, cool.

I can't stress strongly enough, WEAR A DUST MASK WHEN WORKING WITH RAT FECES! You can get a bad lung infection than can last months or longer.
Where can I find the dashboard episode?
This is basically gears , but I still love it
This was long before gears, I look at gears as being like trucks.
@@Akhazmat907 me too.... but expanded upon since he plays with far more than just trucks now
So true buddy it's treasure
Stacey is my spirit Animal
Should've been painted back into army green slight build in the modern age

The guy explaining the Detroit diesel sounds like Rodnick

How is this show still on? 3/4 of the episode is recap.

It had been butchered before he got to it. Someone spliced in a whole nother cab.
This guy seems kinda like an arm chair mechanic. Check out Bad Obsession for awesome work.
Stacy Does? ..... the guy has built multiple vehicles himself that were featured at the SEMA show. He's an excellent mechanic
Really?? This guy is a very knowledgeable mechanic and an amazing fabricator.
Who cares about the 60 series Detroit? Your not gonna off-road one.
Do you do anything but run you mouth??? You show NOTHING !!!!!!!!
