I currently run a 2016 Forza 300, and the suspension is definitely lacking. I'm glad that you made the comparison between the XMax's suspension and the Forza350...that and Honda's 'against the grain' horn and indicator placement since 2014, which I still occasionally fumble (40 yrs of mind muscle memory), is definitely going to make the choice of my next ride a lot easier (just not a fan of the all black that we get here in Canada). Also, it looks like the XMax is a little better on fuel. Two questions...first, I'm on my third scooter now and I've noticed that each on of them (2023 Yam BWS125, 2018 Honda PCX150, 2016 Forza300) the speedometer reads at least 8kms high. Second, on each of these scooters when I take my hands off the bar, I get a wobble round 40kms (weight distribution?)...have you noticed these issues to be common on scooters?
all cars and bikes read about 8 kph faster than actual speed to discourage speeding. so if you think your doing 60 mph thats better than your actually doing 65 mph and into a radar gun. i think its a small wheel issue causing this wobble issue. now if you want to try somethng different try the 2023/2024 vespa gts 300 supersports and once you ride one you'll know why they cost much more. i have reviews in my history

The Xmax 300 is sold at a few dealerships in the US. They have several down in Portland, OR, near where I live. EDIT: also the version sold in the U.S. is to the best of my knowledge the "tech" package sold in Europe, which incidentally is the only model sold in the US. EDIT 2: On second glance, the model sold in the US isn't the exact same as the tech model in Europe. Although it seems to have some of the trappings of the tech model. The US model seems to be the illegitimate love child between the standard and tech models sold in Europe. The US version gets the TFT infotainment screen and Garmin gps, but lacks the comfort seat and special padded glove box lids (Lame), blinged out rims, and Tech max badge on the front.

@@null2455 your right they started in Jan 2023.the only others i found in the US was used and brought to the states. but i just went down today and spent 6K on a mower so its going to be a little while before i can get one
Still watchin Warro.. even though i just can't get on board with these scooter type things.
Good to see you have the motivation to keep on making vids.
Wish i did 😂
Are you going to check out the RE Super meteor cruiser.
They should be in show rooms soon 👍
Mabey ask one of the dealers you spend all the money with to lend you one for review
to be totally honest i dont like the look of the 650 meteor if i did i'd put in a pre-order when enfield contacted me a few months back. but ive had 2 interceptors and i dont see the appeal of this bike.
once i hated scooter you know and didnt go much on them or the riders....lol but one day a couple of years back i bought one just to try out.
a lot better than one would think and i was wrong. they are good units to ride and i now see the attraction side.
better to find out late than never.
@@ridewithwarro fair enough 👍
I don't look down on scooters or anything but yeah they just don't cut the mustard for me... mabey its the look of them?
I am sure they could be fun and practical
@@McRcFly well lets say if i could only have a scooter or nothing i'd take the scooter but a motorcycle is just a more interesting ride experience.
i had trouble getting use to the first one and sold it but after it went i had a change of mind.
wet weather here today so no enfield ride out. dont like riding in the wet-bad enough in the dry.
tomorrow might be better i know friday is going to be 19c
@@christga100 i wouldn't rule it out but winter is approaching here so getting ready for the colder period. the suzuki vstom 250sx is due in mid next month so theres that to deal with too.
plus im getting ready to strip down and paint the scooter a different colour so a bit busy there too
@@christga100 yeah it only cost $6500 so i might as well wait it out. placed the deposit 3 months back so hopefully it will get here next month and i will see if its any good or not...lol
could be ok but its pretty cheap so hard to say!
i bought the orange one as i wanted something a bit different in the colour range.
might take it straight down bathurst way and try out the bridle track run
Rear suspension, too stiff, too soft. Not enough shock???
alright on very smooth roads but once it hits a bit of the rough stuff inperfection in the road its party over.
no big deal and nothing that a $500 pair of shocks cant fix. front end is ok for a scooter and better than others.
never bought the yss piggy back. at $750 a through i had them on my new ct125 trail. ...rubbish!
Could wrap it but probably cost abit.
Great spot Warro.
Xmax seems more popular than the Forza.
yeah ive never wrapped anything ever so that counts that out. plus i would like to paint the plastics without removing them.
i think it can be done if one is careful.
xmax is far better bike than the forza if not i'd be back on a forza.-simple as that really! but i know its not.....lol
forza has a touch better brakes and bit more power.
believe it or not the worst bike i ever road was the honda adv150. it was that bad i rode it 100 klm and after that parked the crap. didn't even do a review on it. not worth owning -not worth buying and certainly not worth riding.....a true heap of crap!
some get the wrong ideas. when i buy i just buy then look for the faults. no rose coloured glasses in my reviews...lol you either like or unscribe...lol
when i fit the roller kit i think it will beat a 350 forza.
pity about that forza really. nice looking bike till you twist the throttle.
like enfields and some-one saying no vibes in my 500....yeah sure...lol.
@@ridewithwarro Yeah I put Higher Ratio Rockers in my VY V6
Holden Ute to give it a bit more up & go for passing cars etc.Went from
1:6,1 to 1:9,1Ratio Rockers & was easily noticable & along with Cold Air Induction help it rev out better & better for passing than stock.
So the Roller will make it rev better.
@@ruahinesrider tell ya what you appear to like a bit of speed. pity i never still had the mazda mx5 turbo i had till 017.
spent $15k on the factory motor and it produced 300 rwhp. guy i sold it too went further and got it running on e85 and it then did 350 rwhp.
i ran it to 235 kph on the NT open limit section for 500 klm flat out or i should say over 200 kph and better
it had an estimated top speed of 270 kph and i have a clip where i'm cruise at 235 kph and still 1000 revs under the limiter.
drove it to NT twice just to run the high speed section while i could.
that idea now closed so i sold it. if it had been still going i'd gone back each year lol.
worth the 15,000 klm drive or i thought so.
took 6 weeks to complete each trip. wife wanted to look about the tourist places...not so me...lol
now i'm more into bikes but then i had the mazda mx5 turbo and right next to it the lotus elise factory supercharged car.
it was fast but i think the mx5 would have dropped it on its tail.
hard to say as i never tested them back to back.
all i can say is the lotus suspension was equal to a honda adv150 bike..pretty damn rough...lol but real eye candy.
only trouble when i took it out they young guys pulled up and it had supercharged splashed on its front guards so i let them listen to its whine...lol
interesting days those gone bye
@@ridewithwarro I think 🤔 I saw it once on a video you put up of cars.
@@ridewithwarro My Ute is a 2002 only got 160k on it but they made a V6 3.8 Supercharged version & a VY V6 Supercharger motor bolt straight in & work on my VY computer.Ideally you'd want
VY Supercharged motor & trans or a VT,VX with motor, trans,ECU.Was thinking if I could get a low km example from a wrecked car but my one goes alright.I don't go fast in it but it heavy hence the Higher Ratio Rockers & CAI & 3.8 V6 good for 300k if you if look after them only done half that.
I have exactly the same issues with you...and the most annoying is that the companies they don't respect us anymore...the one key is a very bad idea, mate .
The second thing (I'm 1.85) is the wind noise on the helmet (maybe is my helmet fault ), but in a higher position, the wind screen is bad ,noise wise .
The 3 is the seat ,I wish they come up with a touring version for this one too.
4 is the rear suspension...OK in turns but bas in small loops or gaps on the road...thinking of yss but I can't pic which model is better for this bike(hope you give a feedback on this )
5 is the dash I hope they give more options to change the appearance on the spedometers, etc, like more skins ...
6 the stupid locking for the seat and the glove box that is not working when the bike is on operation, and we have to shut it down to take something from inside...😂😂
Other than this the bike is very nice, and you can enjoy it even with this "issues " and don't forget there is not a think like a perfect bike out yet ..🎉
Enjoy you videos mate and if you are close to sydney (Liverpool) maybe one day we will go for a ride together.
Have fun.
yeah i think you covered all the bases there. on my last ride i did notice in direct sunlight the speedo was sort of faded a bit and hard to read. may be because the plastic is still on mine too....lol not sure there.
when they finally make those matte finish anti glare instrumentation protectors i'll get a set for sure. i fitted them to a cb500x honda once and they worked well.
those shocks shown in clip work better than the more expensive piggyback version and much cheaper. i put the blackline piggyback ones on one bike and it still rode too firm these are better.
i have the last model touring seat which was really good to sit on but may or may not fit. plus it will have to be modified a bit to fit regardless.
yamaha was pretty shifty there and changed the luggage tub so it wouldn't...lol always about an extra buck!
ive finally found a taller windscreen for the 2023 model and as usual a taller price too...lol
overall once on the road and running along i think they run pretty good for 300cc and are quite nippy for the power output involved.
all the best!
@@ridewithwarro do you have a link for the 2023 windscreen?
@@alexandrosr5179 only looking today on ebay from a thailand seller. just type in xmax 300 windscreen and look for 2023 model. they have a high screen there for aud$250 i think
@@ridewithwarro Yamaha now offer a factory taller screen and comfort seat update for the xmax 300 2023 model, personally, I’ll be going with the shorter Yamaha sports screen for most of the year and only possibly swap it back to the original over winter.
@@johnhele4909 yeah i might look into the sports screen side myself now i know about it. might see if the dealers know anything about it
I had a 2006 Yamaha Vino scooter. 50cc. It was too slow. It only went 30 to 35mph. I can't wait to save up enough money to buy a Yamaha XMAX. I love riding scooters. I tried riding a motorcycle, I couldn't do it. Changing the gears with my foot was too difficult for me, a powerful scooter like an XMAX would be ideal for me. I'm a Security Officer and my job is 30 miles from my house. I'm tired of riding the bus to work. I can't wait to get a used XMAX. 😁🛵
yeah no issues there power wise and they can sit on 100 kph easy and pull hills too. top speed i think is roughly 145 kph
im planning on putting in a performance roller kit which didnt cost much as i like good pickup.
you''ll be very happy when you get your xmax -great scooter
