@@reiseninaba8540 Well, even if it does return to Mario Kart 9, more than likely, it is still possible for this track to return to the Booster Course Pass as well. Tracks return to mainline Mario Kart games twice, but in two different ways. They return into mainline retro exclusive cups (Shell Cup, Banana Cup, Leaf Cup, Lightning Cup), and they return in DLC exclusive retro cups (Triforce Cup, Crossing Cup, Golden Dash Cup, Propeller Cup, etc.) But I agree I really think this will be the next Rainbow Road to return in Mario Kart 9.
Paper Mario was actually "canon" to the main Mario games at the time, with the Star Spirits in Mario Party 5 and Goomboss appearing in Mario 64 DS and Mario Kart DS as well. It wasn't until later when they retconned it as its own AU and ceased referencing them.
this isn't necessarily first party i don't think, intelligent systems developed this Mario Kart. unless there's some weird loophole that makes it consitute as first-party (i guess by being part of the Mario Kart series)
This is the most dangerous rainbow road i ever play even 50cc i fall enough in 1 lap but i don't hate this track i love the soundtrack and all that has to be in the gba
This is probably one of the most unique tracks in the series, they straight up just said "go ahead, you can use any part of the course as a shortcut if you've got the skills for it" Unfortunately i don't think it would translate that well to any other mario kart game, it's pretty reliant on the GBA version's jump physics But who knows, I'd love to see it make a return someday Super Circuit is a really underrated game, there was a ton of creativity in the track design despite the limitations
Why does peoples hate this Rainbow Road track. To me, it's wasn't that bad. It had cool music. Also nice touch reference of Bowser Castle from Paper Mario 64 in background. Not to mention, I like how beginning part of this music had reference to SNES Rainbow Road theme from SMK.
This is my first mario kart experience right there it was when i took a long road trip with my father from san jose to pixley California at the southside to see my godfather cause they have some business to take care of and i was playing this map practicing great memories i love this game and i hope the can put rainbow raod for the gba but no remix on the sound track i would keep it og
I never understood why Bowser’s Castle from Paper Mario 64 was in here? I know both games released not too far from each other, but I always looked at Paper Mario having no involvement in the Mario Kart series. (Heck, I don’t think it gets acknowledged at all outside of its own series aside from Paper Jam and this).
Potentially the most underrated track in the entire series
Best Rainbow Road ever, I love seeing Bowser's floating kingdom and those star constellations.
Agreed
Whoever was playing is an absolute beast at this rainbow road
Agreed
definitely one of the most underrated rainbow roads
Could not do this if my life depended on it when i was a kid. Also had no idea that was Bowser's Castle from Paper Mario until 8 years later
I just realized now! 19 years later . . .
wait it is???
I’d love to see this get the modern remake treatment like Ribbon Road, Cheese land and Sky garden did..
sounds like you might get your wish!

Mario: Let's a go

I knew I wasn't the only one who heard it lmaooo
Omg I cried, I remember this. Brings me back to middle school days
This rainbow road is underrated. It's very well designed for a flat rainbow road.
The good ol' days where Nintendo wasn't afraid to reference the RPG's in its other games.
Well, PM64 Bowser’s Castle was probably there because Intelligent Systems developed both Paper Mario and Mario Kart: Super Circuit.

MK64 has a Rainbow Road for babies
MKSC has a Rainbow Road for masters

Same, Nintendo seems to consider MKT as MK9 so I think there's a good possibility of a Rainbow Tour with this track at some point.

I really hope this is the final track of the Lightning Cup in the next Mario Kart game
If they’re gonna follow the pattern established in Mario Kart 7 I feel like it kinda has to be honestly
If this gets remade for the MK8D DLC, I wonder if they'll change it so that a part of the course goes through Bowser's flying castle.
Imagine bringing this track in the Booster Course Pass of _Mario Kart 8 Deluxe_

I'm scared of that track. No guardrails, just speed bumps.
