Nooblets you can also use gates and doors to enclose the tame. Yes it costs more, however for high level tames the better security would be worth it. You can also use the 4 high walls and a foundation or 2 to prevent teleporting/spawning.

Wow that seems like a lot of work. I just grapple up into a tree or cliff face out of the rexs hit range and pelt tranqs into its face while the AI sits there and stares at me with a derp face.
Seriously like your videos. Have had a bad head injury and remembering the procedures can be a pain for me; need to get levels up a good deal so the better dino;s are possible. 5 hrs of play got me 3 levels running on foot. Sucks, lol.
That location on the Northern part of redwood is a good locationbto find rex,bronto,megatherium,and deodicorus.i always check that area when i wanted to tame those things so i build a permanent ramp trap there on the middle of the river

I havent understood why some people are struggling to trap dinos in ASA, but i have been using this stapling method for years in ASE. I have been in a position where i have no bear traps, so i just place 4-6 gates down in a square or hex and drag rex or anything to it and just circle around the outside opposite to the wild dino, shooting it while its idiotic AI tries to decide what path to take. Taming is just as easy as before with a little lateral thinking.
Unfortunately due to the incessant console delays caused by Snail Games’ dreadful mismanagement, I won’t get to play this for only the Gods know how long.

i have RTX 3060 and i run ark just fine on medium settings. just be aware of the random fps loss, honestly feels like im playing ark back when i played it on the ps4
Dont need a trap just put points in your speed and outrun it while turning and shooting it. Rinse and repeat until they fall. No need for any trap. Now i know why they call this guy Noob.
I think this no longer works; it will just pop/clitch out of that. (I even used 4-5 gateways) Rex, spino, allo did that even trapped in a 3x3x2 cellar/pillar pit trap 🫠🫠🫠

I like the behemoth gate and 4 dino gates. I have been able to get them into the trap pretty regularly

I never put spikes down for a rex. I never had the situation where wild dinos ( even allos) attack it since the rex is basically the apex preadetor
you missed the bit when I said when your standing next to it dinos waves will spawn then

learn how to use a pc or get a steam deck, this game runs at 20fps on my deck and I use an 800 dollar computer that runs ase like a boss

Yes it will run it. But if you get crashes is completely random. You’ll have to adjust settings to fit your rig. But it’ll run, medium prolly
