    Thank you for clearly, calmly, patiently showing how to use the foil pen.

    I’m excited to have found these tutorials as my hubby bought me both the machine quill pen bundle and the freestyle bundle….I wasn’t sure how much I would use the freestyle pens…but after watching your tutorials I’m now excited to jump on in

    I just tried my pens for the first time while watching both of your videos! Great videos! I was unable to get the magnetic mat so for now my husband had a piece of sheet metal that he cut and smoothed edges (I put boxing tape on side he cut and works great) and I do have the vent covers that I use to hold my die cuts with and it worked great also! I will use this until the mat is available! Only problem is I LOVE THEM!! AND WANT TO FOIL EVERYTHING!!! Thanks again for the great videos....great job! I also had to put padding under paper I was foiling onto....thanks to the person that suggested!!

    I printed out a name from my printer onto printer paper and then traced it onto a plastic picture frame, it worked perfectly!!

    I didn't buy the WRMK magnetic mat because I already have the Wendy Vecchi Make Art STAY-tion. I've used the Freestyle pens with it and it works a treat. I did find that I got a better transfer if I put a couple of layers of copy paper between the card stock and the magnetic mat. That little cushion made a big difference for me.

    Thanks for the demo. I purchased the Quill Freestyle pens to use w my Wendy Vecchi magnetic mat. Need to try it.

      Thanks for watching, Shari! The only thing to be a little careful with when using the Wendy Vecchi mat is the heat pen may leave a mark if it touches the "bare" painted metal. Usually you are working on a piece of cardstock, or something so it won't be a problem.

    Have you seen just the magnets for sale, and if so where? I got a magnetic glass mat and thinking these magnets would be nice to have... They look thiner than the magnets used w the stamp platforms.

    • @stampjg
      @stampjg  5 лет назад

      Hello, Jenny! Thanks for watching! I have not seen the magnet strips for sale anywhere. I hope they do offer them soon. I did see where WRMK is going to be selling a magnetic ruler. For the strips, maybe you can cut up thin craft magnets. I may try it soon. The craft magnet "tape" on rolls from the big box store might be too thick.

      I've tried magnetic craft tape and it doesn't hold very strong... Even to itself (at least the stuff I've tried from walmart.) Using a vent cover should work well though and I have some of that. Thanks Spirit Junkie for the idea!

      Check at Michael's they have magnetic strip rolls these are thin and may not hold alot of paper

    Sorry but, the results produced here are WAY below the desired appearance so, not my cup o' tea.
    I'm glad to've been able to see how the heat & stencil plastics interact, and the results - just as I anticipated - I would have to consider a failure. At least tho, thanks for saving me a wad of money! Maybe silicone stencils?

    I hate to say it but I think they have some tweaking to do with these pens. I don't understand why they didn't make them so you buy one pen, & can interchange the tips. Just like a wood burner pen. Then they could make many cool tips for us to purchase. I like the concept of this, but I'm not sure it's perfected enough to be sold just yet. But who am I to judge? If someone is having fun with them I guess thats all that matters. It just won't be me. TYFS

      Hello, Kim! Thanks for watching! I like your idea of a pen with interchangeable tips. I'd like to see one with more width so that we can get more foil onto the paper. Who knows, maybe WRMK will come out with new things in the future? Have a great day!

    • @dawndusk1007
      @dawndusk1007 4 года назад +2

      Having mutliable pens means you can have them all heating up and at the ready. A wood burner with multiple tips still need st head up with each new tip. However the one pen idea it still awesome.

      @@dawndusk1007 I also would maybe want more than one tip heating, not having to wait for one to cool before using it & burning fingers!!

    Can this be used on glass

    • @stampjg
      @stampjg  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks for watching, Carmen! Yes and no...I tested it and it will transfer foil - with very thin lines. The broad point would only transfer a thin line. The foil scratched off easily. Hope this helps!
