Wow, finally seen this video (have a 3 year old that wants somuch attention and still hardly sleeps, so don*t have much time or energy) ... Zillion of your foil videos to watch,... LOL, l love all your videos, learn sóóó much, so looking forward to learning so much more, so amAzing, thx so much!!!! 👍
I totally agree with you about the foil! Creative Vision has absolutely the best price for the huge roll you get! I had no clue you could foil with the texture paste! Thank you so much for your videos!!
Appreciate your honesty with brands. With the rising costs of our supplies, we need to get more bang for our buck. I think sometimes we get too enamored with brands and forget there are comparable products. Reason why your (and others) product comparisons are SO important. Thx 🌻
I watched last nights video at like 3:30am when I was wide awake and I was so happy to see today’s finished product. I think all the glitter gel and paste combos were very nice. I think the gina k gel turned out the best. As far as the foil, the cvs was by far, in my opinion, the better of the two. Stunning results! Thanks so much for this comparison video. It’s so helpful to know how the product really works before you invest. I just ordered those stencils and I can’t wait to use them. They are really beautiful as well. You’ve got six beautiful cards to finish! Great job Nancy!
I have had that happen also with my gina k foil mates. I sent her an email with a photo of what it did and they advised I increase my heat. I have a lot of her foil items and I love her and her stamps, etc. But these foil mates leave something to be desired. I hate to say that but totally agree with you.
Hmmmm, I never noticed a problem with my GK designer toner sheets. I think they work great, IMHO. But different people get different results. I have never heard of the other brand of foil. My stores don’t carry it. I have some Heidi Swapp foil which comes in the roll. But hers is sooooo thin I hate working with it. The DFoil is much thicker & my fav. I don’t have room to store rolled products so the sheets are better for me. I loved hearing your opinion on the foils and your tricks. I must say I have never allowed my items to cool before revealing as I can’t wait! Lol No problem doing that.
Watched the live yesterday and really enjoyed it!! I appreciated the comparison. Thank you for the tip on the Creative Vision foils!! I had stopped foiling due to the ridiculous prices on tiny amounts of foils.
I'm SO glad I saw your video! I've never heard of Creative Vision Stamps and am buying that Crystal Ballroom foil asap. Loved seeing the comparisons- I am definitely subscribing to your channel! :)
I had seen Lindsay at The Frugal Crafter show foiling with gel mediums. You can even use something like Liquitex or Golden Gloss Gel Medium for this. I think they have a better price point than the gloss texture paste, do the same thing, & you can find them easily at places like Michael's & Hobby Lobby. (I think that, of those 2, only Michael's sells the Golden brand. Just FYI.) The important thing is that it has to be a GLOSS finish. Matte just won't work. Thank you for showing your creations! I love that foil from Creative Visions--sooooo shiny and interesting! Thanks for the comparison of prices vs. what you get on the foils, too. Hope you have a wonderful day! :)
So happy your video popped up, I love Gina k but I had trouble also with the toner cards I used the happy birthday ones. I also have that ranger paste and was not sure how to use it, so now I will. I really really would like to see a video on how to use the negative left over, I followed some instructions, but they were tossed away due to it being crinkly. I also had a very difficult time with overlay stamps, never will use them again. Will subscribe love comparison videos
I'm happy this video popped up in my 'recommmends' list because I bought a jar of Ranger Texture Paste somewhere in the past year .... & am ashamed to say that I still haven't used it.. until now! What a great idea.. & I especially like your frankness about the foil papers as I have a bunch but haven't really used them .. because of the waste. I'm happy to see that the rolled foil will turn out just as good as the expensive sheets do ... & the shim (& glue) suggestion is perfect as I bought a laminator from Amazon & couldn't figure out why I kept getting missed pieces. Thanks tons.
Hi Nancy, Another WOW tutorial I just wouldn't know which one to choose I loved them all thanks for sharing all the best to you and all Lin in South Wales uk 💞 🦋🐕
Awesome video, just found ur channel, and subscribed! I love “real comparison” videos! Sometimes the real pros make everything look much easier, so seeing tips and tricks from you and others is great! I’m so glad u told us about the big roll, I bought some of Gina k foil mates and toner sheets, but haven’t tried them? Maybe I’ll try a shim like others have suggested. I do have a question? Before Pixie spray came came out, I saw people using Krylon Re-positional spray, have you ever tried that? I’d love to know. Thanks again! Liz😊💗👍🏼
Thanks for the comparison and the tip about the glue pen - I never thought of that! I have found the same thing with the Gina K toner sheets and it's very frustrating. I wonder if adding a cardstock shim would do any good, I haven't tried it yet. I love the Creative Vision foil - it's gorgeous!
I have had problems with those Gina K toner sheets and was disappointed. I thought maybe it was my technique or that my laminator was defective. HMM . What do you think?
Wonderful video...I will have to check out that creative vision website and see if they can ship to Canada? Plus can you do a video with the waste product? I noticed when you were doing the tip of using the glue pen when it dried you were using the negative product of that snowflake to use with the glue pen wouldn’t that ruin the negative waste design if you take bits of it off with that glue pen tip?? Thanks again for the comparison video we all love to safe money.
@@NancyStamps Thank you for the reply. duly noted maybe you can the next time you talk about this product you could mention this piece of info for your international viewers that they dont ship Internationally and only ship to the USA. I do know that Gina K delivers to Canada because I have bought from them in the past. Thanks again and have a great day.
Has anyone tried Heidi Swapps glitter sheets? I love thermoweb transfer gel it is recommended with thermwebs own foil which is branded to Gina K also never had an issue either with minc setting 4 or a laminator
great tutorial Nancy with the Brutus Monroe is it possible to put glitter over it when wet to give it more dimension ?? is it sticky enough to hold on to with out falling off ??
Sharon Tucker Lewis you can Google “Art Glitter” and find their website. They sell a fantastic adhesive as well (Art Glitter Glue) that many card makers and mini album makers use. It dries fast and very strong.
You can use a good quality laminator, preferably a Swingline. Let your laminator heat up for at least 30 minutes and use a good heavy paper shim to give it plenty of pressure.
Yes that was 3 years ago. She retired. You can now get the foils here: H&H Signs (Toner Foil): www.hhsignsupply.com/productcart/pc/Textile-Foils-c853.htm?idaffiliate=154

YT suggested this video for me. Very informative & beautiful cards.
Welcome Dee Dee :)

i think in a gina k video she also uses parchment or something for extra pressure through the laminator
Nice to see the finished results. I think my favorite is the Gina K.
Hello Nancy nice great idea to use the foil, thanks for this wonderful video
They are beautiful.
I like your comparing products. I really like the new tricks.

Thanks Jean, I live on a budget too and as much as I would love to have EVERYTHING, we have to sometimes substitute what we have.
Great comment! This is why I love Nancy so much. She's the most honest crafter on here and really understands living on a craft budget.

Ooh pretty. I love all that sparkles!!!
I love watching your videos you are awesome such a big help. Thank you
Wow how wonderful to be able to have so much crafting stuff to try out and be able to buy!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! You have helped me tremendously with what you have shown about the foils and foilables! Many thanx!
I've never heard of Creative Vision Stamps either but I'll be looking into that foil! ;) Thanks for sharing!
She is retiring and sold the company so it may be rebranded. She has a sale on her website right now.
Beautiful! And thank you for the tip of using the tacky glue!

Wow, these turned out beautifully. I especially love the shard foil.
Great Idea and Great Instructions!!!
I just discovered your videos and I Really like your style! Thanks for doing such a gr8 job!!!
I have a jar of decofoil transfer gel duo. It would have worked better if I had let gel dry completely. Love your videos!
So pretty.
I wonder if my transfer gel will work with stencils? Must try!
Very nice 🥰🥰🥰
I love the glue pen suggestion!
It's amazing how well the foil sticks to the dried glue and you don't have to run it through the machine again. :)
Really pretty. Just came across this video and subscribed. TFS

I have the krylon too, it smells. Yuck
hi again! you have to cut the foil larger than the paper. You will see the difference!
very pretty thank you for sharing! I love that black mat, can you tell me where you got it?
Tim Holtz large media glass mat
Beautiful

Someone said try a higher heat with the GinaK, and yes Creative Vision stamps foil is the best value and quality. 25 feet in the roll
I have had problems with those Gina K toner sheets and was disappointed. I thought maybe it was my technique or that my laminator was defective. HMM . What do you think?
I was told to use setting 4, I will and will let you know what happens.
Very pretty thank you
Excellent, thank you

I don't think they ship to Canada at this time. Yes I'll post videos on using the negatives.

Beautiful technics, it Is possible to use a regular dimensional paste? Without transparent finish?
Yes, but it might not dry as smooth and give impressions in your foil.
@@NancyStamps Thanks for your answer, I'll try
@@melissasantis449 yes please let me know how it looks.
Has anyone tried Heidi Swapps glitter sheets? I love thermoweb transfer gel it is recommended with thermwebs own foil which is branded to Gina K also never had an issue either with minc setting 4 or a laminator
The defo foil transfer gel is the same as the ranger paste. Will try the glitter sheets in a future video.
great tutorial Nancy with the Brutus Monroe is it possible to put glitter over it when wet to give it more dimension ?? is it sticky enough to hold on to with out falling off ??
Yes, you can do that with all of them when they are wet.
@@NancyStamps Thank you
Do you have a source for the art glitter? I didn’t see it listed in Part 1 or 2. Love the shimmer
Sharon Tucker Lewis you can Google “Art Glitter” and find their website. They sell a fantastic adhesive as well (Art Glitter Glue) that many card makers and mini album makers use. It dries fast and very strong.
Linked their website for you
Nancy Stamp
Hi Nancy, thank you for another great tutorial. Please could you tell me name of the laminator you are use for your card making. Thank you!
Jasu Kishan mini minc
Thank you Nancy. x
Is it possible to use ordinary laminator?
@@jasukishan2309 yes, let it heat up for 30 mins. Put it on the 5mL setting and use thick cars stock for your folder to shim it.
Thank you Nancy, the info is great help! x
Good job comparing.
great info thank you
What do you do if you don't have a Mink machine?
You can use a good quality laminator, preferably a Swingline. Let your laminator heat up for at least 30 minutes and use a good heavy paper shim to give it plenty of pressure.
Just found you! Can you use a heat gun with the texture last and foil if you don’t have a mink?
I don't recommend it. You can use a Amazon Basic laminator or Swingline laminator for $25 in my Amazon shop. www.amazon.com/shop/nancystamps
what are the plastic sheets that you are putting the paper and foil into then sending it through the laminater?
Minc cover folders: amzn.to/34nDmr4
Do you have to have that machine that you are using ?.I have a Gemini
You can use any machine that makes a sandwich with pressure. I use a Gemini too.
hi, you should cut the paper After you put foil on it!
Negatives can be used too!!
Yes!! On toner sheets and then double foiled. :)
can you run the foil through the mink twice before you lift the foil? This may help the foil lifting issue. Not sure just a suggestion. 😁
Someone said try higher heat. So I'll try both.
Can I use this on a tumbler if I use a heat gun??? Just curious???
You need something for the foil to stick to.
I miss your daughter saying dusty dusty!
Creative Vision doesn’t ship to Canada! 😥
I heard. :(
What was your favorite to use with the foils?
I like to use the Hero Arts swirl Christmas tree stencil. It comes out so pretty.
I bought from creative vision too...every color they had..I will never buy foil again!!
Yes, it's the best!
Where can I but Creative Vision products?
The link for the autumn tags is in description box under my title.
what dust do you use ? please
No we remove the dust with a clean brush
🙂
Pity. Seems Creative Vision Foils has disappeared.
