I have 2 of these and am dismayed that components like this no longer come with documentation. My first puzzle was whether I should split my cables evenly between the top and bottom CPU/PCIe choices, that is, whether these were separated electrically into what I've heard referred to as "rails". I will now give up on that question since it doesn't seem to make any difference. My two graphics cards have sockets for two 8-pin connectors (3070ti) and are also undocumented. I don't know if there is an advantage to running two PCIe cables. Since it would be so ugly I'll just take a chance and use a single cable. But I am puzzled about the logic of splitting the cable into two 8-pin connectors, since the capacity of the cable remains the same. Similarly, why do graphics cards have two separate ports unless they anticipate receiving input from two different cables? I have a possibly helpful, note: The two supplied SATA cables are, in fact, different. They are oriented in reverse. I found that one worked perfectly for me, allowing me to link my two SATA devices (HDD and fan hub) without twisting the cable and letting me stash the unused connectors in an unused HDD bay. The other SATA cable would have been an ungainly choice. Thanks for the various hints, especially as I'm building 2 different systems using this PSU.

Asus PSU's are so nice! they're all Seasonic rebranded PSU's with quality components. if you know Seasonic you know that they make the absolute best PSU's. another great review video!
I never used my computer much until now, as I've only just obtained a graphics card. This power supply you show above is quiet when idle or light tasks, but I've found out that under medium load, it creaks every 5 seconds, like a slow door. The same noise can be heard when the fan button is pressed as the fan starts up or slows. The fan also seems to fade in and out, although that's fairly subtle and most people won't realise it. Others report the same creaking with Seasonic, which I believe are the manufacturer of Asus psus. I wonder if the fan motors are low quality and all the creaking and fading in and out will affect it's longevity. If it's not a warning sign, there's no point returning it as they'll probably send the same model with the same issue again.
I believe the advice is to never mix and match cables and PSUs from different brands. I'd suggest cablemod might be a better option as they're extensions rather than connecting directly to the PSU.
@@TheProvokedPrawn in the motherboard power connector part. I connected one 8 pin cable on top. For the second power connector right beside it which has just 4 slots. Can i use the 4 pin connector from half of 8 pin connector?
Not sure if I like the fact the PCIE cables are 1 to 2. I don't like the idea of daisy chaining power to the GPU, so I'm definitely going to need extension cables in order to ensure I don't have 3 pcie plugs hanging off the GPU.
I bought this exact psu but it came with a power cord that had a green/yellow ground wire coming from the outlet side. I think i got a japan power cord. Are all PSU power cords interchangable? Can i just buy one from bestbuy or is the entire PSU internals also made for the lower wattage that Japan has?
My loki 850w ain't built like this really, which makes it frustrating. 1st 1 says pcie and below says pcie go there as well. However the top pcie has same pins as the one labeled 600w, no other slot has that. So I'm confused on which I pick for that. The pcie or 600w. I do have 2 extra slots for pcie though. On top next to the motherboard other is the bottom next to the cpu slot.
@@heisenberg1098 EVGA 3080 Ti. Tried another psu and the cables fit. I've read that the cables are problematic in reviews, reddit, etc. Seems they had a bad batch of pcie cables. I bought Cablemod cables to replace them.

Can you use the corsair premium wires with this psu or would that be a problem?

So I got 2 sata cables in the box, I see one port says “SATA, one is labeled “peripherals” can I plug Sata into both of them?

135mm. Very silent one, and you can deactivate it.

You should have an adapter included with your GPU that you can use with standard PCIe power connectors.
