I love that you shared her install. Many womens hair look like this and isn't all full and stuff like some videos. This is so realistic for many of us! Thank you! Im ready to do mine now! ❤
My hair length on the sides is short. (cancer survivor and growing out hair) the folks near me in ga said I need 4 inches of hair before I can do anything. You just proved them wrong lol. Great job!!! If i was in tx i would’ve been at your door by august 😂
@@daniellewilson5293thank you, I’ve been stalking videos and i think I can do it 😊. My main concern is my fingers giving out on me but i should be fine if i just do a section a day.
@@AyeKay220how did you start yours? My hair is now 2 inches and some change. I can do flat twist and braid it to the scalp which lets me know i have some give 😂
I have this methid to start my locks. I do the root interlocking every other month or two when i have much new growth. My desire is as they grow my hair will lock
I was getting ready, mentally, to drive to Huntsville, ALABAMA, till I reread your location. Nice work. I might have to come to TX. You did an awesome job on her hair. I luv it!!
I would love to see how you got her edges done! Her hair lools beautiful! I'm hopefull that my hairdresser can do the same thing with my very short hair.
I am soooo thankful that I found your channel and that you are in TX!! I just shaved my hair off and as soon as I grow out... I will be booking 😭🙌🏽❤️ Your work is the highest tier🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽
This is how I started my micro locs except I plat almost to end then twist because I was scared they would unravel. In fact some did start unraveling I am still waiting for it to thicken up my hair is similar to hers
This video made me fill good cause I had alopecia and it took all my dreads out to the scalp now I got about 4 inches I know it's hope watching this video
Do you have an updated video of her hair? The box braid microloc install method is so hard to find videos. I installed my mom’s this way for shortness as well and I’m unsure on the retie process.
I don’t actually. She is an out of state client but she has told me they are holding up nicely. She only has a handful of locs that were done this way. Not her entire head. You would retie the normal way. It doesn’t change.
@anbrh6 yes she has mentioned to me that she had a few slip out but they were reinstalled by her current stylist. She is an out of state client and is unable to travel to me every 6 weeks.
would it be possible for me to use 16in in my hair for length without thinning my locs over time and weighing it down? how would i go about that? (medium density hair)
Your hair would only be weighed down if the extensions hair was thicker than your natural hair. That’s something you would need to get with your stylist on since they would be the ones who know your hair.
I have been trying to figure out why people are using the crochet method after braiding the base as opposed to doing what you did- traditional box braid and interlocking after… it seems like far less work this way- unfortunately I braided all of my hair in microlocs before really thinking it through! Lol
If the proper amount of hair is not used in the box braid method, the Instal will be ruined because you will be able to see the line of demarcation when your hair grows out. It is not a preferred method but it is still a method
So if you knew something about anything you would know that starter locs can be done with coils or two strand twists. Overtime they will loc on their own and then have the traditional loc look. But don’t come on my page with your opinions. This is not the place for it. Have a good one.
@Melthestylistt That and then a there are stylists that do interlock after either method. It's all about research! But many don't like to do that. It's way too many videos out for ONE to be targeted as such. Great job! I will be doing my 1st install on a cancer survivor. There are tips and tricks needed for those that don't have 12 inches of hair to Start with. This video is just what I was looking for. I plan to interlock hers. I am sure there may be areas I can't, so it will be a traditional mirco braid/twist. 😊
@Mel. I have this same method because my hair is SOOOO soft so the stylist did this method and then interlocking when I have much new growth. I'm just wondering with the extension intertwined with my hair, at what point do we do away with the weave and just have my locked hair? Thank You very kindly.
Do you think using blonde extensions will be ok??You did a damn good job my hair is about her length and blonde because I had a TWA and growing it out but I want blonde hair and will be starting off with micro braids. The person that’s doing my hair is fire with her braids and braids this small…Memphis is watching🥰🥰🥰🩷🩷🩷🩷

Remember this was only a small section of her hair. This was not done on her entire head.

lol i'm going through the same thing beautiful. everybody is saying 4 inches and yet i have my old locs attached for now and my hair is like 2 inches
From one survivor to another, if you ever need your hair done and get to someone or they can't do short hair, let me know. ❤
Yikes, wish you lived closer to me. I started my own with like 1 inch of hair lol.

I did my six-year-old this way
Thank you for this video, I'm currently looking into this style for myself. How her hair is, this my current situation.

The second one was like a invisible knots feed in braid.

This is so beautiful! My daughter is relocating to Houston are you far from Houston
An hour or so
What kinda of hair are you using to braid in
Exy Hair
One i love your page and your work. Can you cuban twist hair for this? Also will this be abel to be retied?
I’m not understanding your first question. And yes this style is retied. These are permanent microloc extensions.
Is the cuban twist hair still a hair that can be used for this or just afro kinky?
@@tkj5855 Cuban twist hair is synthetic so I won’t recommend that for a permanent style

I just got this style, how would you recommend preventing breakage and locking at the root ?
If you don’t want your hair to lock, remove the style in a month or so. As far as breakage that depends on how well you take care of your hair.
Beautiful work! I’m a breast cancer survivor and no one can seem to do my hair like this

I don't like that ppl call these locs when they are simple two strand twisted braided at the roots. Their cute but not locs
