What should be the daily routine to ensure that your hair does loc up with the extensions? What's a good nighttime routine? How often should you wet the hair? How often should you oil the scalp? What can you do to avoid slipage?

I just got a braid Loc install with the brand of extensions you used on her, my question is what can i put on the ends of the extension to get the curl pattern and to keep the extension tips from looking dry?

If one wanted to focus on volume/ thickness, verses length, do you still follow the same process of adding hair in proportion to your loc parting size?
You will naturally get some additional fullness, but if you want to keep these permanently, you can’t make them too thick otherwise you will have that bulge when your hair grows out

Hey Mel, would you recommend coloring the hair while it’s in your head ? I have extension that I do not plan on removing but I wanted to color my whole head
As long as your hair and the extensions are fully mature, dying the hair shouldn’t be a problem.
How soon can you wash your locs with extensions
I say only wash before your retie just as natural locs. We don’t need to wash our hair super often.
How often to re-lock this type with extensions
5-8 weeks

How do you separate the bulk hair so its not in small pieces
When you rub the small pieces together and slowly stretch it out as you roll it becomes long

Hey Mel, have you tried exy human bulk hair? They have 8,10 and 16 inch! This was so convenient for me b/c I can never get the hair to stay

I agree! I used exy and it was super soft and easy to extend
@@kickingitwithmisha it is! The hair Mel use is really good hair as well! I love that it feels like natural 4c hair, I just don’t like that it only comes in 8” and one color. At least, that’s all I’ve seen.
It’s comes in 8-16 inches and comes in 613 so you can dye it any color.
@@jessbereal7662 true. I just did me some micro braid locs. I have about 70 braids left and I’m done but the exy hair is beautiful and curly
