I am so glade I came across your page. I've been looking into getting this style done and although I can braid my own hair no problem. I truly thought it was a lot harder to do this style. Now i know after watching you for sure and investing the time in doing it myself, I can definitely save the $1500 it would cost for someone to do it for me with extensions. How much do you charge for the same style with extensions just out of curiosity? I've been a braider for years, so I have faith that I can do it now!
Doing it yourself is perfectly fine. But remember these are not just braids or just twist with hair added. There is a technique and skill to it. Thinking about the longevity of the style and when your hair starts to grow out whereas with braids you will be taking them out so you can add as much hair as you’d like.
my problem with the twists is most of the time I have to add in pieces of hair to get to my desired length, but I see you don’t do that here. Is it because it’s not shown or is it generally just one piece is really enough for each twist?
@@Melthestylistt is there a way to add in those pieces for longer length (I'm assuming twisting while you twist) that minimizes potential slippage? I can imagine those twisted in length pieces make it very hard to stay in tact

Great work. I am inspired to do my own soon. I'm curious as to how do you keep the clients real hair from sticking out from the twist? I want to do the method were you use the crochet tool and pull the extension hair through since I do not know how to braid and add the hair in
The clients natural hair and the extensions should be twisted together. As the hair ages, just like natural locs, you may need to wrap the hair around itself to train it to loc in that direction.
If possible please make a video of using that hair extensions on already existing locks to make them longer. I have about 14inch locks and tried using lose hair like that from qvr to extend it but the ends looked thin😅
I have a video on this. Microloc extensions installation and I’m on the thumbnail in a navy top. If the ends look thin then you need to add hair little by little to make it thicker

If I need to I will but my clients request a certain length and that is the length of hair that is purchased

@Daizy10231023 it’s all about technique. You have to twist properly in order for the hair to stay
