I'm missing these guys. I'm missing the show a lot. I've been watching "Mythbusters" since summer of 2006 in Germany when it was televised on a brand-new network back then for the first time. One of the best shows ever, because it was the ideal blend of entertainment and science, in other words, hard facts! Too bad that the show is no more, considering the fact that most shows on television, regardless of what country, are blatant bullshit per se. Great show, very likeable, smart and entertaining presenters! You'll be greatly missed.
Something I notice every time I see a review of the "plow" dump truck footage is the only plowed vehicle that did not roll was the VW bug. As a former VW bug owner (Green '73 Super named Kermit), it makes me like those little cars (and miss Kermit) even more.
I just have a comment about the drifting. I remember hearing somewhere that on dirt, rally cars get maximum power at somewhere between 5-10% slip. And not just forwards/backwards slip, but side to side as well, so actually they do get something of a drift going in most corners.
Racing on dirt.. they don't drift trough the corner, but do the 'scandinavian flick', which lets the end of the car go before the apex. And that is faster.
Rally drivers drift their car on loose/slippery surfaces, because it makes the behaviour of the car easier to predict. Yes, it would be faster to drive the car at or near the limit of traction, but that limit is unpredictable and recovering from an unintentional slide costs a lot more speed/momentum than putting it in a slide on purpose. That way one only comes 'unstuck' if there's way more traction than expected.
I really wish those two could get along! I know them both Jamie is a very dear friend of mine but I really wish those two got along. Did you such wonderful work together
You never had tried Moscow Olympics javelin myth. always when Russian athletic threw they opened back gates and javeline flew longer. How much this depended the results?
I think you still got the ax vs gun myth wrong. In the episode, the only two downsides for the ax are weight, and the amount of force you need to apply. For the gun you have jams, clip sizes, accuracy, and reloading among other things. Two main issues you missed with the ax are the fact that it will get stuck in a zombie and hard to pull out, and the fact that a small gash in a zombies brain would most likely not kill it, so the amount of force you used is wrong. It's too bad the show is done and you cant revisit the myth with more realistic limitations for the ax because in reality, if you are using an AR-15 with a 30 round mag, with a backup FN Five-Seven, reloading will be extremely quick and gun jams will be rare.
Usually rally cars are four wheel drive so when drifting around a corner the front wheels are still speeding up and they basically do it to show off and earn sponsorships with companies
If you produce so high sound that it breaks glass, but nobody hears it. I believe that if the glass breaks sound wave broke it. Unless something else broke the glass before it.
3:44 the way Adam says it is so much like Jamie. he says so minimally and calmly

Came here about the Slow Mo Guys shoutout! Loved this show though growing up as a kid, sad to hear it ending!
I had to pause this right after Adam mentioned the Slow Mo Guys. Just knowing that Adam like what Gavin and Dan do made my day!
Right!
I'm sure they've collaborated at some point in their careers
im sad that they are ending :(
shame...
anyone remember when they sold out and grant started doing car ads in the show?
Jacob Swope agree
@@kingjames4886 and now grants no more
Omg I feel so old looking at them. When I used to watch them as a kid, they didn't have grey hair.
go watch adams videos now... then go watch season 1...
you can watch adam age by the year lol.
Imagine how they feel
When I watched them as a kid I didn't have grey hair either!
Sound is not made, it is heard. Vibrations are made. It is sound when it is interpreted.
love those old shows.
I wath mythbusters since as a kid, this made part of my life
Great to hear some focus on the crew.
Their Tears held back when they mentioned the end.
Love the 240

Slow mo guys are amazing
I don't want this show to end! I really hope Adam and Jamie return in a different format to continue the adventure.
Be great if they did a reunion special with all the crew in honour of Grant.

7:08 sooo cool

8:13 - NO. Because there's no receiver

The most important thing in experimenting is getting things wrong, how else can you learn.
What mess did you guys like the best?
Actually we need more of this kind of stuff on youtube
Did you know as tribute to the ram plow truck
Beam.ng drive added the ram truck into the game and it is the exact same plow too
i really miss mythbusters

drifting is the state between maintaining control and crashing...
Of course a tree would make a sound even if nobody is WATCHING
@slomoguys shoutout!!
A falling tree makes a sound. To make a _noise_ requires someone to hear it.
Heck, they've been running the show since I was a little kid. Sad to see them go. :(
Slow mo guys!
Did Gav and Dan from the Slo Mo Show ever know about this shout-out from Adam?

well did that guy get the high speed cam
SCREW IBM I want a Jamie Hydaman mainframe to run all my terminals!

I like the Outrageous Acts of Science show.
Just saying, i am not looking forward to the final episode, i think i may cry/
MythBusters was like a normal part of life I had a sense of well being watching them it sucked they ended it.
terceiro 😂😂😂😂

If a tree falls down and lands on a woman... what was a tree doing in the kitchen?
It was falling
did it make a sound though?
unsuccessful people need to learn, being wrong is expected in the path to success, being better is why you're doing it ....right?
First
