I Truly loved all the shows when you blew stuff up. In 1993 my wife and I were pulling up to our home and were about 15 feet away when the entire house blew up...right in front of us. We were in my 1987 Mustang and were unharmed. The house was gone. The House on the next acre was knocked 1/4 inch off it's foundation yet we were totally unharmed and my car was fine with the exception of one tire that went flat. Even our three cats that were all in the house survived. CRAZY stuff happens in explosions and there is just something about them that is amazing to watch.

Mines made of plastic or non-metallic material are the worst because they are designed to not be picked up on a metal detector as a side effect it makes it hard for the shrapnel to be found on an x-ray

The M14 bounding anti-personell mine had 2 fuses. One is a pressure-release mechanism that triggers the lifting charge after the person steps off the mine.

Gregory Heim I am by no means a demolitions expert and the air force wouldn't take me when my draft number came up for medical reasons (so I'm no soldier), but as a hobby artist, 1.5 meters (or 4.92 feet) equalling waist level should put the average man or soldier at about 8.61 feet tall. I don't disagree about the 1.5 meters, but I suspect it would be closer to chest height...proportionally speaking. I'm 5' 8" and 1.5 meters/4.92 ft (or 59 inches) would be pretty close to my throat! If a man was 6 feet tall, that extra 4" over my height would put that mine right about the level of a guy's heart!

+Robert Green Throw the hobby math out the window. When it detonates it will cause wounds from your feet to your head. Mostly non-fatal, but massive. Depending how far away you are. It's not a laser beam, or a video game. And remember, it's buried about 6 inches in the ground...
