A tip when removing the plastic pipe is take out the nut holding the dipstick tube. It's an 8mm. It allows the tube to move out of the way just enough to pull the pipe up and out. I got rid of my symposer ages ago, it was a pain to get to I remember. Also, that stubborn bolt holding your MAP sensor in, you could have run a groove across the top of it with a Dremel and used a flat blade screwdriver to get it loose. It's only a self tapper going into plastic so it should have been easy to get out. I think someone in the past has used too small a torx bit and it got rounded out, or they have tried to loosen it while on the car and not used a flexi shaft and gone in a bit wonky. For refitting silicone pipes a bit of Vaseline round the inside of the ends of the pipe makes it go on a lot easier. Watch clearance on the radiator, if it fouls it, try to push pipe on a bit further onto the throttle body and intercooler. It should clear it, just. Rubber gloves help to grip the pipe better.
When I removed the intake pipe on my ST during alternator issues the plenum was already removed which helped give better access to the pipe. For the type of clip used on the Symposer pipe either eagle-beak (self adjusting) or ratcheting hose clip pliers are really useful. The hose clamps are also glued onto the hose so it takes a bit of force to break it free of the hose. Handy for in the future but I guess you’ll not be in a hurry to do that job again!
What problem.. I was changing a pipe. I didn't have a problem I was upgrading from a Ford plastic to a pro hose. I don't recall I had a problem to inform you about... Maybe you can expand a little to help with your issues
My Old syposeer pipe was already off & just had the delete pipe fitted.so to fit my cold side pipe I just removed the o/s headlight and used long extension sockets for jubilee clip removal.
I had the same issue accidentally unplugged throttle body connector accidentally lol. I jacked up my car and dropped the intercooler out. Makes it a lot easier.
Hello... facelift. Start at the bottom corner. Use a small screwdriver with a bit of masking tape on it. Once you have got underneath it, slowly pull and move the screwdriver around while pulling... br very care as the clips are very brittle. Each one will pop out.. I have a video showing this... Thanks
🤣. I'm pretty sure I would have done it the same way lol. Good video though still. U need someone like me with tiny hands to get in hard to reach places. 👍🏽. Fortunately for me that was already done.
Oh Lordee, Lordee, Lordee, as you say not your best video, that's not like you as you're normally quite methodical in how you do things. Ok, onwards and upwards. How was the engine management light, still on? Keep your chin up ok 👍
Yeah this is a horrible job to do , I ended up jacking the car and pulling it out from under neath which took minutes , this is after spending 45 mins swearing at it

Great advice 👍 thank you

Defo not in a hurry to do that again..... yeah should have maybe been a little more prepared with the correct tools... thanks dude 👊
Don't tell us what the problem was. Great informative video

Once the Ford one out easy from there.... but that bloody plastic one gave me some grief 😝
did you just clear the engine malfunction how did you fix this ?
Are you referring to when I installed the cold side boost pipe. If so just drove it around for about 10 minutes and it cleared itself
@@lordeest so it didnt throw a code up and you had to clear it ?
Have a question? How big is the exit from the ILK to the throttle valve or how big is the connection of the silicone hose?
Hi ! Where you buy this? I search for my st but i don’t found..
Hey.. you can purchase these from my online performance website www.customrides.uk
How did you take the bottom grille out? Gonna tackle this job in a couple weeks

All off now.... seems to have sorted itself out. Had to do what was required 🙂 Thanks Bro... 👍

Yeah. Something so simple is a bloody nightmare 😝
