I don't think I have seen many videos of Riga so it was a pleasant experience to watch this video. Riga got mentioned in one of my favourite books I had read many years ago. Could be matter of honour by Jeffrey Archer. This video has an air of mystery about it. So it was exciting and thrilling to watch. Thanks for the gorgeous video . I wish you both a happy Christmas.
Ahh thank you so much! That’s very cool. I think Riga definitely feels like one of the more mysterious cities in the world - it probably doesn’t get the credit it deserves to be honest. We really loved it. Your kind words really do mean a lot, thank you 🙏 We hope you have a very merry Christmas too 🤩🎄☺️
Hi, accidentally stumbled on your video and enjoyed it quite a lot! It's very interesting to see my country from the visitor's point of view. I was born and grew up in Riga. If you come to Latvia again, try not to limit yourself only with visiting Riga. I would recommend also the Gauja National Park and Kemeri National Park as good examples for Latvia's nature and also historical/cultural heritage. Both National parks are easily accessible by train or bus and only within 50-80 km from Riga. I saw also a suggestion in the comments about the Brīvdabas muzejs. It is technically within the boundaries of Riga (you can go there by the city tram and then walk about 10 min. to get there). Beter to visit that in summertime. Thanks again for such a beautiful picture of our Capital!
Ah thank you so much! That’s cool, we loved your hometown ☺️ We will 100% be coming back to Latvia again in future! Thank you so much for the recommendations, we know that one day is nowhere near long enough to see such a beautiful country. We cannot wait to explore more when we do return 😍
I am Latvian but i live in Netherlands almost a decade now. In last 5 years i was in Riga once and it was summer time. I am amazed to see my City this good looking, clean and cozy. We don't have snow in Amsterdam this december sadly but this video gave me i dunno "Grinch vibes" i'd say. I'm so proud seeing people visit my home town and enjoying it. Totally looks like a winter city made for some movie set but it's not, it looks so good. I'm happy now seeing my city in winter time before christmas :) Thanks for video!
Ahh that’s very cool! The Netherlands is a great place too! I’m so happy you enjoyed seeing your hometown looking amazing. We absolutely loved it in Riga and will definitely be back one day! We agree, it should be a movie set 😍 Glad you enjoyed the video too 🙏🤩
Hi guys! So wonderful to see you enjoyed Riga's Christmas market! Its our home town :) Your video truly warmed our hears we are planning to do video about the market too some time later in December! :) Wishing you lots of wonderful adventures 💞
Hey! Aww thank you ☺️ that’s so kind - your hometown is absolutely beautiful! Genuinely one of our favourite places we have visited. So friendly 🥰 Cool - we will definitely watch! The market is so good 😍 You too guys!! Keep enjoying life 🤩
Hey, thank you! Hope you enjoyed it! You can, as long as you follow these rules: - All drones must be labeled with the owner’s name, address, and telephone number. - Drone pilots must identify themselves as a drone pilot with a hat, shirt or in some other way. - Drones may not be flown above crowds, events containing crowds, or people. (worth noting that we stood quite far from the Xmas market and did not hover the drone above any people) ✌️

Seems like there are very few people Christmas market, and at what exact time were you there? And how's the situation in the bars, are young people having fun?
@@PedroParamoN the Christmas market is fairly busy most of the time and it all depends on where you go in terms of the bars. But plenty of places to go and have a good night out in Riga! 😀

Wooow, now that is super cold, suddenly -13C feels warm 🥵🤣 It really is a genuine winter wonderland - the best one we’ve seen yet for sure 😍 ❄️ 🎄 Ooh no, we didn’t realise that! Looking that up to read more right away - very interesting! Thank you for the recommendation. We really want to come back to Riga in summertime one day to see the city in a different light and explore more places we didn’t get time to visit this time around! Thanks for your lovely comment 😃

Its +4 now here in Latvia ! All the snow is melting 😢. But it will be back anyway 😂 after a week or 2.
