However, from our perspective as American travelers, we heard many times during our visit that it’s still quite rare to see tourists from the U.S. That's what made it feel like a 'hidden gem' to us, even if it’s not the case for everyone.

I live and work in Tallinn, Estonia, right to the north, and our city is TEAMING with American tourists, I can't see a reason why they shouldn't visit Latvia. Face it - you are just trying to sell your stuff as "unique" and "unusual", perhaps even "original". I hate to break it to you but the market is already oversaturated. You are far too late to the party and your ignorance is not an excuse. I'm sorry if I took my frustration out on those who didn't deserve it.

@morristosee If you two are looking to visit Riga once again in the future, I would recommend exploring The Art Nouveau architecture in Riga. It's stunningly beautiful. Treat for eyes.
Hello guys, this video was just recommended to me, I like to watch people all over the world visiting country in which i was born to see their reaction. One thing i want to mention about early in video when you said your Tour guide's name is Artūrs, you dont really have to pronounce it like that you can just say Arthur and it will be just as fine. For example my name is Roberts and you can call me just Robert. Cheers!

Cats on the top of the roof of Cats house were turned to the Great Guild backwards just because the owner of the house was'nt accepted as a member of the Guild and that was the way he expressed his attitude. Oly after receiving a membership he turned cats in the current position.
Dome cathedral has the 2nd largest unrestored organ in the whole Latvia . The biggest is situated in Liepāja town on the west coast of Latvia is the biggest of its kind in the whole world. Rga Dome organ has 124 stops, which sound from 6,718 pipes arranged on 26 wind chests. The longest pipe is about 10 metres long, the shortest one is only 13 mm. Pipe diameters are from 50 cm to 4 mm. The materials used in the pipes include pine, fir, maple, oak, beech, and pear and different metal alloys. There are 116 voices, 144 ranks; 18 combinations and General Crescendo .

This video just made Riga jump to the top of my travel list! The architecture and history are breathtaking.

Are latvian people friendly? Towards foreigners?
We didn't experience any issues! People were friendly, engaged in conversations with us, and gave recommendations!
They are friendly, but rather quiet and don't tend to speak a lot. They tend to seem a bit stoic.
