Orbea Rise Review: The Ultimate Lightweight EMTB
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 фев 2025
- Orbea Rise is a lightweight but powerful electric mountain bike. Weighing in at just over 18KG, this trail ready ebike is built to rip down the trails and blast back up again.
29er, trail based geometry, 18.25KG, 60Nm Shimano EP8 motor and 360Wh non removable internal battery.
ETHICS: Orbea hired me to produce this video, for publishing on my RUclips channel. Orbea have have had no direct input on this content or any editorial or narrative control over the video. The first time that they see this video is on release, the same time as general release to you, the viewer. This paid partnership with Orbea has allowed me work and film over multiple days and to work with Jon (The Bike Pilot) to capture the bike shots and produce the video content.
Check out more about the bike on Orbea's website: www.orbea.com/...
The bike I test is a custom built M10 rise. Its is the Raw carbon version (it is raw carbon under a gloss lacquer with silver decals, looks great!!)

This bike is one of the most admired bikes ever when we were filming. So many folks came and asked questions about it! It’s sure has generated a LOT of interest and rightly so. Orbea made a great bike and the Rise concept works so well.
That bike is number 1 on my list! Great video, btw. Skydio 2?
Im loving my wild fs , i bet the rise is soooooo good!!!!
Love your work!
Which Garmin watch are you using with the rise? Btw great vid!
I'm still waiting for delivery of mine to Canada that I ordered in October. They're very hard to get it seems. Even more difficult than any other brand's bikes I think.
Yep!
Just purchased the Rise M20...initial rides have really blown me away with how much I like this bike.
Awesome Rob. I'm sure others must've said it in the comments. Rise vs. Levo SL vs. Crafty Carbon RR SL. What a video that would be 👌👌
Your videographer does an incredible job.
Thanks! Hopefully Jon will see this comment 👊 Agree, amazing shots!
Thanks Sandy! Much appreciated :)
Great vid Rob! Crazy to see what is possible tech-wise already. I‘d love to see a Kenevo SL with that amount of power. That‘d be my dreambike.
Probably the future of e-mtbs. I have a full power e-mtb but 90% of the time I use assistance level 2/4, so I'll definitely be looking at something like this for my next e-mtb.
I’ve been putting off watching this video as I know it’ll make me want the new Rise. Just watched it. Want one
Gotta agree with you there
Sounds like I’d enjoy it just as much as my full fat Levo
Got two on order now, his & hers !
Morning Rob! Cool vid 🎥 It was great to have a couple of rides with you this week! 🤙🏻🔋⚡️
See you Tuesday ☀️🚵🏻
Definitely one of your best productions so far Rob, and some fantastic lens choices and camera angles too. Money well spent by Orbea I would say, as I could watch them all day :)
Mine is coming this week 😁 soooooo excited! Thanks for an awesome video as usual.
Ahh not long now! I’m sure you’re going to love it!
It was you videos that made me decide. I’ve a full fat ebike but have mobility issues. I’m hoping this will be a game changer for me. Could only get my hands on an M20 but I’ve bling to fit when it comes. Keep up the videos. Just love them.
Your videos are so good Rob so professionaly done ! Full of great content, great camera work ! So natural the 'Orbea Rise ' your latest vid is beautifully shot ! Your content is so well put together, it's a joy to watch !!!! 😎👍👌🌲🌲🏞️🚵
@@byfunkyoid2917 did you get your Rise yet? I’ve had my Rise M-LTD for a couple months and never ride my other 55 lb EMTB anymore! The lightweight and geometry of the Rise was a game-changer for me! I trust it will be for you as well.👍🏻
@@darrisnelson5223 what was your other bike if you don't mind me asking
How have you not got like 1 mill subscribers. Such great videos
maybe one day!
Great video! Makes me want to get one. Also, I did the CAD work and some subtle design work on your glasses. They look good on you. Super Stylish.
Wow. Next level drone work there chaps. Great video and review!
thanks!
I just rode the bike over the alps from Garmisch to Lago di garda and absolutely agree with Rob… feels like a Biobike, you can carry it like a Biobike (and in deed often I had to), you can ride it without emotor but if wanted, there is enough power (one less than regular eMTB; means: rise trail = eMTB eco etc.). I did not need the range extender (riding up to 2000 Hm per day).
I rode the Levo SL as well. Outstanding bike, but not enough power to ride with regular eMTBler, if wanted.
I love my ORBEA Rise! It was a birthday gift from my husband!❤️ I am 5’5” and have the medium frame Rise in the stunning blue. It gets a lot of attention and a lot of questions From people on the trail. I have 2 ETMB’s but now ride the Rise almost exclusively. My other bike has 27.5’s and it’s nearly half my weight! This 29er is so lightweight and nimble it’s much more fun to ride! My husband just noticed that the rear tire is slightly narrower than the front…Not sure why. 🤷♀️ We put more aggressive pedals and changed the seat to the Italia Donna. I am considering going with more aggressive tires for better stability. I am a bit concerned with more resistance that may drain the battery quicker. I’d be interested in hearing others’ opinions about going with a more aggressive tread. Thanks for the review… It’s why I chose the ORBEA!👍🏻
Not sure about battery drain as I don't have an ebike but I switch tires a lot on my enduro fully and trail hardtail and I have the stock and more aggressive tyres. The stock Maxxis Recon is a pretty fast rear tyre but the Dissector in MaxxTerra is not that much slower in the rear but has a lot more grip. The front tyre creates less drag in general so I would assume that a DHF would not use that much more battery. Comparing "Dissector-Recon" and "DHF-Dissector" I can feel the difference but only as equal to less than one gear/speed on the derailleur if you imagine just the effort of riding. So I definately think they eat up some small amount of extra battery but can't imagine a huge difference. Also tyres are often slightly narrower in the rear. I have now a 2.5" front for a little added softness and a 2.4" rear for a little extra side support. Also tires often don't measure exactly the same as they are sold as.
@@hrobjartursigursson8942 thanks so much for your detailed explanation! I will keep your advice/thoughts in mind as I make choices. 🙏🏻
I ride in an area with a lot of steep and technical trails and put a Minion dhf 2.5 on the front and the dissector on the back. I can easily do 1500 Meters vert between charges, although I mostly ride in eco mode.
Absolutely stunning, great work, thanks
That’s a sweet looking bike and good to see you on the rides last couple of weeks. Ironically I’ve just bought 2 Orbea Karam HT emtb and they are very nice bikes 👍
These bikes are awesome, great review 👏🏼
Mine is due soon. July can't come soon enough!
I really like your description about he Rise and all it's benefits, I've got one on order and can't wait for mine, it's due in this month
I finally got my bike and set it up as a Mullet, I call it my Rise MX, check it out

Ah, another awesome bike that's "out of stock". Good job Rob. Things are heading the right way in the ebike world
Hey mate yea no one wants this stock situation but it’s the way things are 🤷♂️
great review Rob, Ive done a couple ebike reviews but my next one will be my trek rail build. Its pretty sick
Damn .. now I'm even more tempted to order one.
I was too. Until I checked local prices. Around 10 k$ for base model and 18 for a fully stacked like the one in this review.
That's comparable to my car.
@@5gvaccinator343 find a better bike at that price
Me too 😫
Looking forward to the rise h review, your vids are mint.
Shedding the red on my Rise at Cuyuna right now. Going to have over 100 miles this weekend.
Great stuff!
Nice one Rob, great to see some more content. I have just brought the Wild FS M10 and it’s amazing but I still think one of these is the way to go for most of my riding.
Selling your Wild?
@@fzr1000981 sorry but no. It's too good, they are amazing but sometimes a lighter bike would be nice but not a deal breaker.
Getting am M20
Got my Rise M-Team 3 Weeks ago, love it!
Nice!
Great video. Makes me even more excited for when mine is delivered! hopefully next month!
Thanks Brendan. I’m sure you’re going to love it!
Alright Rob please make your next video on comparing it to the Levo SL and Kenevo SL
Supposed to get my m10 later this week or early next. A lot of the things you said are the reason I decided to get the rise even though I just bought a rail.
Lightweight + power is the future of eMtb and Orbea just took over this market. And btw the Rise limited is just over 16kg !!
Absolutely love mine, ridden over 130km in the first 2 weeks which is way more than I'd normally ride. Your description in the first half of the video on how it handles and rides echos exactly how I feel. Such a great bike.
How far do you get on standard battery ?
@@rickd317 mostly ride in boost mode and can easily do 30km with 800m climbing
@@rickd317 farthest I’ve gone is 32km/20 miles with over half of it climbing. I keep it mostly in trail mode but up it to boost on the hills. Haven’t gotten the flashing red lights yet.👍🏻
I ride mostly in low boost and can get three avg rides between charges. (1 1/2 - 2 hr Avg and 400 - 500 meters vert per ride.)
@@rickd317
Proud owner of a m-ltd in raw carbon! I absolutely love it! Can only recommend it!
Good to hear!
Me too, and it’s changed my experience on the trail tremendously! I never ride my 500w 55 lb beast anymore!
It looks so sweet & because it's so light ! I've been told I understand that the 60 NM torque motor gives the 360 wh battery is the equivalent of a 504 wh battery range & you can imagine being so light you can imagine how far you can go with the range extender ! I think it's about 612 that's sounds amazing !!! It has the wow factor !!! It's looks awesome Rob & you think Rob if you bought another range extender you could go on super adventures !
I ride a Norco Sight with the Shimano E7000 motor and a 500 battery, so it's probably similar in power and range to the Rise, and honestly it is plenty. Powerwise - I rarely have it in Boost mode, mostly in Trail. I only put it in Boost for steep climbs, which it handles fine. Range - I'm always dead before the battery! Yeah, more power would be fun, but I'd trade that for the lighter weight any day.
My other EMTB has a 550w motor and weighs 55 lbs. I’ve run that down to 20% riding the same trails as my Rise. I’ve yet to run the Rise down to the flashing red lights.👍🏻
can t take it anymore, still need to wait 2 more week to get my hands on the rise ! hopefully no others delay from orbea
Lucky you, I have to wait til november 😭
I picked up my Rise M10 at my local shop in February. Initially there was an issue with the motor controls which Orbea didn't know how to resolve - they asked the shop to contact Shimano instead. After that was fixed, I found out that the bike is out of spec (crank arm torque and max speed) and Orbea haven't responded to my bike shop for 6+ weeks to get the issues resolved. If you're buying in the US, be aware of Orbea's VERY poor customer service. Other than that, the bike is super fun :)
looks like my new dream-bike )))
Thanks for one of the Best youtube channels :D!
Without orbeas corona price inflation or whatever the reason for the heavy pricing, one of these would be in my carage instead of the merida eone sixty 8000 ep8. I think, maybe, prettty sure.
This is were all e bike manufacturers should be heading for, maybe an upgrade from my ezesty?? 🙈
Hey Rob Rides Emtb! Awesome cinematography on this vid! Are the drone shots done with the AI follow mode or do you use bikepilot as a drone pilot? Ride ride ride!
Im a big guy , and love my specialized sl, but 60 nm sounds great, I'll be checking one out for sure
I've wanted one of these since I first saw it reviewed a few months ago. Come on Orbea, put the small screen on it, offer a 10 speed version (which would shave a bit off both price and weight) and I might just sell my Norco and buy one!
You can spec the screen now when you custom order it 👍
Cool. Half way there! I emailed them about offering a 10 speed option. They were nice enough to reply, but it isn't an option yet. I'm gonna keep pushing this idea for ebikes though!
E bikes are fun!
Who does your camera and drone work? Pro level!
Just spotted you in Wembley on the telly!
Great review so very glad I've already ordered mine for delivery in October and will be handing my much enjoyed Cube Stereo Hybrid down to the Mrs
Enjoy!
Ha I was just thinking I ain't heard from you for a while 😂
Great vid. You almost pushed me over the edge. I was planning to wait and see if they have demo units at the Verbier festival in August but your range vid may be the tipping point. I am almost always in tour mode on the Bosch gen 4 so I think I can afford the power drop. Cant wait for the next installment.
Cheers. Yes I’m also very interested to see the range but have been very impressed so far. Because they have made their own custom firmware the motor is quite efficient - it gives peak power around 75-90rpm which is the sweet spot for motor / energy efficiently. So it doesn’t request a lot of amps from the electrical system if the rider isn’t being efficient (like if the rider is being lazy and spinning at 40rpm the system won’t be using a lot of energy compared to a standard full fat EBike).
Orbea did a good job working with Shimano on this EP8 RS tune. When I was researching the video I spoke with the bike designer who showed me pics of them at Shimano in Japan working on this partnership, it is more than a simply detuned EP8, there’s a lot of software differences that make it a very compelling efficient lightweight system👍
@@RobRidesEMTB the next step would be to allow the software to be tuned all the way down to the EP8 RS, but also up to the normal EP8, without having to change the firmware, just parameters. so you could use the full 85nm on weekdays, and tune it down for longer rides
Thanks for another great and impartial review Rob. I've been waiting for this one. The only thing I am thinking now is will they update it the bike for 2022 and should I wait.
Hey Oliver - As this bike only came out fairly recently I'm not so sure we will see an update so quick, If anything, it will be component changes for a 2022 model - I suspect the frame / geo will remain the same :-)
@@RobRidesEMTB That makes sense Rob. Maybe bigger brake rotors.
If you're up for a bit of constructive criticism Rob, the production values of your videos are sky high, really up there with the best but the glottal stops in narration are a sharp contrast;. I'd like to hear, for example, Rotors rather than ro'urs, to elevate the channel to the level it can be.
Completely agree - newtons, not nu-ons
hallelujah :) thx Rob !!
Another corker of a second review ....... its my goto eeb atm ...... taking it over the ken sl ... love the extra power and it just more of an alrounder for me ... Toying with going mullet but to be honest i think it may loose some of the zip that makes it sooo good.. cheers again
It was on my shortlist
Love your videos. If you lived in a dry dusty small mountain area, where you are climbing 152 meters/500ft fire roads that are 10-25%gradient, and going down chunky fast and steep (10-40% gradient) with an average of 16%, would you pick the or Orbea, gen 3 Levo, Levo sl, or kenevo sl?
I have the Rise M-LTD and do all of what you state and more. I’m going to go tubeless and may go to a bit more aggressive tire. I’ve not ridden more than 32 km/20 miles but half is climbing. Going from a 55 lb EMTB to the Orbea 36 lb changed everything for me! I’m a 66 YO newbie.❤️🚴♀️
Nice video, good job Rob 👍 !! Question about MyO color : is it Raw Carbon with logo Orbea Titanium or Black with logo Silver Gray ? Trank you in advance for your reply 😉.
Very interesting bike, but what would you buy, the Rise or the SL Levo??
They are both perfectly fine, just get the one that's actually available where you live
Orbea is much more powerful
Awesome video mate! Think a Rise is going to be my next bike. Would def be keen to hear your thoughts after a few months riding, see if you miss the full fat power or prefer the agility.
I can never give up the full fat power. But the light weights offer a different experience for sure.
@@RobRidesEMTB Argh… see - that’s my worry. I’m in Scotland, bought an ebike to bike munros… which is prob 5% of the time, but it’s nice having the power. Love my Levo, but fancy a change…. Swaying between a Whyte RS160 and a Rise… I’m at that £6k-ish price point and want something more nimble. Loving the channel tho mate - great vids!
All depends on many factors too - I ride a lot in groups and everyone rides full fat ebikes, turbo blasts for 2 hours… the ride could do it, you just would have to put in more leg power 🦵 🏃♀️ 💪 😊
Hi rob heads up really like how honest you are when reviewing emtbs ..I have a technical question about the orbea rise shimano rs ep8 motor ..in boost mode what is the max assistance in % ..I know the standard ep8 has 400% assistance in boost many thanks j
Very nice Rob! Looking forward to the rest of the series. How long did it take to get your motor? It's been two months for me and I'm still waiting for it to ship.
It took me about two months to get mine. Charged up but haven’t yet used it.
i like how it looks as though you have big angry eyebrows above your glasses on your helm xD
Great review. Looks great - but is it better than the Levo SL? What's better/worse when compared? Are they direct competitors for the same kind of riding/terrain? On the face of it, it seems to offer the same 'more analogue bike feel' as the Levo SL with more power, and as a result, less range. Not sure the Orbea warranty support would be as good as Specialized - important when buying ebikes! More info on this please.
I’d say that it’s a direct competitor to the SL. For me and my height the geo on the Rise is a bit more suitable (longer reach, steeper seat tube) and I really like the 60Nm from the EP8 RS motor 💪
Just picked up a fantic 1.7 I would say there has been some improvements are you going to review one this year
Very stealthy. We need that as trails are increasingly closing to ebikes. Trek has one that is even lighter with 2.6 tires.... albeit $1500 more...
It's rit good, but it's hard not to ride it in boost all the time! the power delivery is so smooth and natural. But in boost I only get 16mi or so. I'm guessing your 25mi (or did you say km?) were mostly ridden in trail mode?
Yeah but of trail but agree in full boost it’s such a laugh!
Agree with you on this one, got one on order, hopefully wont be moving it on as quickly as the Levo SL I bought (Way underpowered) Anyway where is the trail at 2:02 in the vid, that's not surrey hills its is? Its got the log drop on thick and creamy half way through it, fancy finding them and having a ride, looks like a good set of trails.
Came here looking for the answer to this as well, I’d also like to ride that trail!
Brilliant bike .....but how...and when...are we likely to be able to get hold of one Rob ??
As with the entire industry stock is constrained although I do hear some dealers have the odd model in stock 👍
Great video. You appear to be in surrey hills but i dnt recognise where those tight berms are?
Cheers Chris - Swinley Forest (that one is called berminator!)
Sounds good, but impossible to get a hold of one! Does the info sync to a Garmin Edge 800? If I could get this bike I would be happy to buy a watch though.
So…. For Surrey hills…. Rise or Levo SL?
How about a comparison between the Rise and Kenevo SL?
Rise higher Nm , Kenevo range better??
Rise has higher Nm and similar range when you set the Rise to the same assistance level as the Kenevo. Kenevo however is a much more capable bike on gnarly steep trails.
Great review and amazing footage as always Rob. So i am seriously considering selling both my full fat emtb and analog, and replace them with the Orbea or Forestal or something similar when they come out (not a specialized) I still ride my analog more than my E and when i use my E i am mostly in eco and trail. My question to you Rob is, how does it ride with the motor off? as i ride with normal bikers often. Thanks!
Honestly haven’t tried it with the motor off. I’d change the assist profile down to absolute minimum of you wanted to ride with normal bikers. But I’ll try a test of it in my range test vid if I can 👍
@@RobRidesEMTB Great thanks Rob 👌I am already faster uphill on my analog than all my mates, so that’s why I ask what it’s like to peddle with no assistance. Thanks again and always look forward to your vids 👊
I've used my rise without the motor on and with it in eco when riding with my buddies on Analog bikes. I'm not the strongest climber - which is part of why I got the ebike so I could keep up with them. In Eco, it's perfect for me. I can easily ride with them, still get a good workout but not be totally fried by the start of the DH. My usual ride is 3000 ft of climbing, 16 miles with 62% in eco, 26% in trail, 7% boost and 5% off - I still had 35% battery left. Another loop is 15 miles, 2600ft, 24,35,9,31% eco, trail, boost, off (I turned it off for most of the DH) and I had 45% battery left. I've never been below 20% but even so I'm finally getting the range extender this Wednesday.
@@davehedge5044 Thanks Dave! Great info. Hard decision to sell both bikes to get one that’s does it all.
@@finbox1000 You're welcome - I'm just so stoked on this bike. I held off on getting an ebike because I didn't want a lumbering 50lb'er, I used to ride DH when the bikes were in the 50lb range and it just doesn't suit my riding style - especially now I'm a lot older. I told myself I was going to keep my other bikes (DH, Trail and Hardtail) but my Trail bike is going up for sale this week, closely followed by the Hardtail). FYI, I got lucky and got the M20 model lightly used (with 140mm Float 34). After 2 rides realized I wanted a slacker head angle so I bought a Fox 36 150mm GRIP2. I also upgraded the front rotor to 203 as it was seriously lacking stopping power. I may upgrade to 4 piston calipers later but it's a pain because the hydraulic hose is internally routed so you have to bleed them. These upgrades are part of the reason I'm selling the other bikes as I need the funds or the wife will kill me ;-). I want to make this bike as awesome as I know it can be because I don't see myself getting anything else for a while. I'm also offsetting this additional weight by swapping out the wheels with some Carbon NOBL ones I already have (the rear wheel alone is almost 2lbs lighter than the stock wheel). Given the choice (and no shipping delays) I'd buy the M10 model and only change the front rotor. That model is well spec'd.
How does the actual amount of boost in eco feel compared with the amount of boost in eco with ep8000? More same less?
Wish I could demo one here in NZ 🙄
this could change my thoughts on getting an e bike, to make them hideous climbs when your knackered easier but have the lightness of a normal bike . Cant see a negative
So what do you think is it better than a s works sl levo
Hi Rob, love your vids. A question for you, I’m 67 12stone never had a mountain bike. Would this light weight be good for me? Or do you think a full fat would be better. And I’m 5ft 6in
I’m 67 years old, 5‘5“ and 115 pounds. I’ve not ridden my 55 lb ETMB since getting my Rise M-LTD. My other bike is not a fat bike but has a 500w motor and a throttle. The geometry, the light weight all add up to bed or agility and just an overall better ride. I’m a newbie on the trail and riding the Rise was a game changer for me! I’ve ridden 20 miles, half climbing with no issue. I definitely have to work harder but it’s so much more fun! My goal was to increase my fitness level and that’s definitely happening with the Rise.💪🏻
Where is the promised range test? :)
What do you think about the Rise vs the YT Decoy? I've just been comparing geometry online and it seems to be pretty damn similar from what I'm seeing even though the rise is supposed to be the light MTB (implies more of a trail bike and less of a big enduro/dh biased bike) yet the decoy is definitely known for being an enduro style ride. What do you think about this? I don't see the two bikes compared too often but they just seem so similar on paper
Looks awesome. Review sounds awesome. Unfortunately, it is still an orbea. Terrible warranty and customer service
Yup. Go Levo SL. The SL motor has been super reliable, it's got plenty of power and a super wide cadence range compared to the EP8 - and the Spesh customer service experience is pretty unrivalled...no motor rattle either. ;)
Hello! Is the orbea in turbo similar to a bosch in tour? Or eco?
It's a deal breaker if too low powered 😬😬
cmon rob, we all wanna know how it compares to the levo sl in your eyes ;)
Pro levo sl is geometry contra is 35nm more and motor noise and yes bought expensive
You cant compare lions to sheeps
Will Absolutely pulled the sl’s pants down 65nm tuneable to 85…
Hi Rob, can you compare Rise with GLP2. what bike is the most fun?
Hey Rob, is there a rattle noise from the motor? Also I will like to know your thoughts against the Levo SL
I have a Rise M-LTD and do hear the rattle when going down rougher terrain. Not an issue for me.🤷♀️
Where are you riding Rob?
Hey Rob
Which 30 mm rise bar would you suggest? I got the m10 an would like another handlebar. Hope you have time to answer ✌️🙂
Hi Rob, how would this bike have handled on the recent Scottish trip around Skye area? I am riding the Orbea Wild FS M10, I am thinking of getting one of these due to the lighter weight.
Would be fine, although the head angle could be a bit slacker to help. But its still a 140/150 travel bike so can handle a fair amount of terrain.
Just so everyone knows how pre ordering goes currently I was prepared for a 6 month wait and was notified recently there's a 3 month delay so that makes 9 month total wait. This was for Commencal but I hear it's for YT as well as most other brands
Sadly much of the bike industry is in this same situation.
I was set on the trek Rail. But now considering this one. How much $$$ quid, dollars, euros, yen chap?
Rob watching this movie i can't work, i just think about new paths. What size in relation to height, is the Orbea table reliable?
Yeah pretty close to be honest. I measured head angle and it can out at 65.3 degrees (they say 65.5) and reach felt good. Just a higher riser bar for me to complete it.
Rob, Do you know if you can the clear rap to protect the frame ? & Do you know if they are going to spec a rotor upgrade say 203 would be nice as where I live we have long descents ( N Yorkshire ) 😎👌🚵🌲🌲🌲
It would be great to disassemble the motor. Check material, check rubber seals, check pcb controller and it's technology, check the quality of FOC using. Could you measure the real resistance for pedaling in numbers? Not just words, not just noise but the facts.
👀thats very in depth, a bit more than I can really cover!
Cant you select the non junction box , Shimano screen when ordering?
What rims did the bike have? The 31 enduro or the 26 xc version? Carbon?
what sort of range are you getting from just trail mode rob? ordered one to replace my cube stereo 625 and a bit worried it wont be enough for the 20ish mile lakes rides i do
I’ve done 20 mile rides, half climbing, on my Rise M-LTD with no flashing red lights.👏🏻 I ride mostly in trail mode but up it to boost on most hills. I haven’t ridden my 55 lb 500w EMTB since getting the Rise. The geometry and lightweight make it so much more fun on the trails!👍🏻
Will an XL orbea rise fit me well? I’m 184cm
🇳🇱 This afternoon I got a phonecall from my bike shop. The RISE has arrived. I’m gonna check him out tomorrow in real life and plan a test ride. ORDER?
The classification of "E-bike Specific Parts" baffles me somewhat. The motor, speed controller, battery... those are e-bike specific parts. But e-bike specific wheels? Why? Extra weight of the e-bike people say. So should the fact that I weight 20lbs more than my brother at the same height mean I should get e-bike specific wheels for my regular bike for the extra weight? I just don't understand this, I feel like it's marketing to get you to buy things you don't need or spend more money than you would otherwise need.... love the bike and video though lol
Where is the trail you are riding located?
This is my dream bike... just wish it didn't cost as much as a used car :-(
Yep… That threw me for a loop to until I started riding it!🤣 LOVE my Rise M-LTD!
So good bike...the only - is that the battery cannot be removed... For hotel holidays.... Or slt
Non removable battery is a big - for me. With emtbs the weight difference isint so big a deal exept when transporting the bike. I opted for a roof racks with a limit of 20kg and almost all emtbs weight 23-24 kg with a significant price premium for the lighter ones :(. Then again 60nm would brobably be just fine for my tastes. Maybe one day i get my bike stored in a heated place during winter.
