The National Pension System (NPS) is primarily designed for retirement savings, but if you're not working and don't get tax benefits (like 80C or 80ccd deductions), the evaluation changes
There r so many workers who even don't know anything about investment or about mutual fund or NPS. They r just aware that they will be getting pension. So specially for them and to educate them plz make one simple video. Thanks

Old was a great tool when we had no option to investment in Markets In current context, it’s more of politics as it’s a loss making proposition both for govt and employee.
New one is better , it invests primarily in to equity and debt so in case if the next three decades markets keep rising roads are kept being built gov keeps investing in infrastructure then definitely nps will give much much more than the old pension scheme
According to my knowledge the pension in eps can reach more tha 20k per month if the employee has served 10+2 years of eps and depositing an additional amount varies between 7-10lakh can give a monthly pension of 20k+ and half of that to the widow. For lifetime
Oh Dear Believe me I have never seen a video with so much clarity. You guys do lot of efforts to create this type of videos, I can literally see hard work here. Now I’m deciding to see all ur videos to gain more knowledge and I will recommend my friends to 😊 Keep up the good work god bless you.
Can you please create a video on Superannuation fund and it's provisions. We are contributing 15% to this fund from last 24 years and the fund is managed by LIC for our company. Initially it was tax free contribution, But from last several years (I don't remember exactly how many years) company is deducting tax on it. They gave us the alternate option to get this amount as personal allowed in monthly salary which is again tax deductible.
If i am investing in NPS account and my employer investing in EPS account. After 60 years, what we happen for my pension? Is this means am eligible for both pension schemes?
You didn't mentioned about the Following Facts- 1. Premature Withdrawal before 60 Year of Age is disastrous as it mandates only 20% lump sum and 80% annuity. Many State Governments have retirement age of 58. And this also will be disastrous for employees taking Voluntary Retirement, irrespective of Govt or Pvt Sector as the same 20:80 ratio applies here. 2. You just talked about the Pros of NPS and Mostly CONS of EPF. But either forgot or intentionally skipped to talk about the Security Risks of hard earned money in NPS. If at the day of retirement, the market got crashed, all the hard earned money of the member will get vanished, even though the invested corpus also. But at EPF there's a sovereign guarantee by the Government of India. It doesn't matter whether the market got crashed or any bankruptcy. The hard earned amount is safe at any cost. The biggest flaw of NPS is being a non secured fund. And the retirement fund can't be put at risk. 3. You said that the EPS is only ₹ 7500. Now it's been permitted to be calculated on the actual pensionable salary. 4. For Self-employed a minimum of 20% contribution from their salary is mandatory. 5. Sef contributory members who aren't employed i.e. any non employee citizen will get tax benifit upto ₹50000 only. As the ₹1.5 Lakh income tax rebate is only available for employees. 6. The biggest drawback of annuity is that, there's no option to increase the amount as per the inflation rate. It will be fixed at the same rate upto the pensioner is alive. Beside the annuity, Post Office SCSS, MIS and Even FDs of Govt Banks i.e. Public Sector Banks and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) are far safe, better and can be revised as per the convience. It gives the benefits of 0.5% extra interest rate for senior citizens. Which annuity companies don't. 7. NPS is not at all beneficial for pension purpose. There has to be a secured and strong alternative for pension. Its might be good investment alternative to get a fully tax free corpus at retirement age for either those who are experienced in share market and take risks in equity Or for the inexperienced who want to invest in Govt Sector to gain some guaranteed returns. It might be a good alternative to mutual funds as it won't attract Long Term Capital Gain Tax (LTCG) of 10%. So please, don't praise NPS as the best option for pension blindly without taking into account the above mentioned issues. Its just an official way of the Govt to get rid from the responsibility of giving social security to the old age service class citizens.
You are empowering thousands of people like me who are new to this corporate world. Great work Sir❤️. Massive respect. You will get to millions of subscribers 🔥 I have a small doubt, it'd be great help If I could get the answer. "Can I have accounts in both the schemes, since I totally liked the NPS abd I want to have itbut my company is contributing only in EPF so I cannot stop that ??"
Brother you are doing really a great work and efforts for us. I have a request, please make a detailed video for Postal Life Insurance ( PLI & RPLI) it will be very beneficiary for Small investors and villagers 😇😇
Eps: contribute rs.1250 per month, get lifetime rs.7500/- per month. It will also adjust with inflation slowly. NPS: bare market linked uncertain product. Get back your own saved stuffs. annuity i.e. retirement time nps earn 5% to be on safer side.
In EPF(not EPS) the 8.5% interest is compounded? I used NPS and EPF calculators and found the corpus of EPF to be much higher. I am wondering whether it is even right to compare EPF with NPS. Should we not just compare EPS with NPS? Please correct me if I misunderstood.
Yes, 8.5 is compounded but then what is the guarantee of 8.5%. Over the past years, the returns of EPF have been on gradual decline and this year the PF office was wondering how will they pay 8.5% returns. For NPS, again its all speculation. Although the returns can be more than EPF (check video on my channel which has done comparison of both). NPS gives you more power and control over your money whereas EPF is if you are happy with whatever you are getting and are not looking for wealth creation.
Hey LLA, 1. I aleady have EPF by default opened by employer 2. NPS planning to start 3. PPF opened Is it okay to have all 3 safest modes, and there will be no issue having all 3 at retirement?

so excessive contribution to EPF (VPF) is not better than NPS? From what I understand is, maximum investment to any of these investment options should only be the amount on which we get tax exemption... And that usually is enough to secure the future. Although we can contribute more, but it wouldn't give tax exemption on amount more than the exempt limit. I suggest in that case, to invest more in different mutual funds and in little amounts, for diversification.

Take this information with a grain of salt. Most of the calculations here assume that your gross monthly salary is 15k salary per month or lower (though he has mentioned it each time) and the calculations, rates of returns change drastically when your monthly salary is well above 15k per month.
