In comparison, by keeping 100% annuity in NPS, U showed more pension in NPS. But, probably u missed to take note that APY is giving guaranteed return of certain predetermined amount to the nominee upon death of the subscriber, while in 100% annuity NPS won't.

This video is based on the assumption that interest rates will remain same after 25-30 years. What if the interest rates goes down to 2-3 percent.
Have NPS, but there is no harm in having a small contribution towards APY. Think of it as an additional income as you turn 60.

    • @History_bites_shorts
      @History_bites_shorts 3 года назад +20

but the problem in APY is the max pension is only 5000 and if we think of nearly 30 years from now the value of 5000 at that time will be merely 870 rupees at min inflation of 6%

i watched your videos and received good knowledge but on one part of the video which is "Annuity rate" which you have taken as 6% by default. My concern is in future the interest rates will go downward only, as the cumulative inflation will go downward only. we may see Interest rate below 1 percent in coming 20-30 years. so, annuity rates will also go around 1%. Don't you think so. Because of this APY must be taken, nps is secondary as if anyone wants to invest more. Kindly correct if i am wrong. Current Annuity rate is around 5% (approx.)

One way APY better than NPS that nominee will get a fixed amount after death, which should be considered while calculating the returns.
Anyways it is a matter of choice. Thanks for the educational video. Appreciate it.

Hello Sir, I confused about Atal pension yojana Rule. APY rules are we should not have statutory social security scheme and income tax payer but I opened both APY and PMJJBY account in 2013 in the same SBI branch from that day both are auto deducting . My question can I have both APY and PMJJBY account? is PMJJBY affect to my pension in future .? Presently I am not a tax player what if in future my income crossed 2.5? Can you please help answer this question. Thanks in advance.

Hi Sir I have some doubts regarding NSP & ELSS. Please find some time and answer these.
    NPS
    1. Can we open an NPS account with lumpsum or have to go for SIP only.
    2. After paying the amount in the first year, I need to give it again in the second year and so on up to the age of 60. Right!
    3. Do we need to pay the same amount we paid in starting I mean have to maintain the consistency or amount can vary depends on us.
    ELSS
    1. If I choose a lump sum amount in the first year(e.g 1,00,000) & locking period of 5 years. Then do I need to pay the same for the rest of 4 years also or only once (first year)?
    2. I case I want to give the same amount next year also can I do that into the same account or for next year I have to open another ELSS account.
    3. Last but not least, once maturity completed then also if I want to continue with that ELSS amount in the same account. Can I add more amount into that and continue with that.
    Thanks

      NPS:
      1. LUMPSUM and SIP both available (for SIP you can give standing instructions to your bank)
      2. Every year, you need to put a minimum of 500 to keep NPS Account active
      3. No, you can pay different amounts as per your wish
      ELSS
      1. ELSS has a lock in of 3 years, not 5. And no, you can put different amounts each year. Every installment gets locked for 3 years
      2. ELSS is not an account, it a mutual fund. You can invest more money in the same mutual fund.
      3. Yes, if you want to keep investing money after 3 years, you can.
But as i have said earlier, every time you invest money, that will be locked in for 3 years.
Example: if i invest 1000 on 1st of every month. Then 1000 invested on 1st January 2020 will be locked till 1st january 2023.
On 1st May 2023, i will be able to withdraw total 5000, from jan 2020, feb 2020, march 2020, april 2020, and may 2020. But i will have to wait for one more month to withdraw my june 2020 money, because that money will complete 3 years in june 2023.

I don't think that any annuity plan will give you 6% pension after 30 years so NPS will give lower pension amount as compared to APY for same investment. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. Thanks.

After 30 years from now can you guarantee 6% annuity. No one can Guarantee that but APY almost guarantee it. Its good 2nd option with a nominal contribution.

  • @Sudarshansridhar
    @Sudarshansridhar 3 года назад

APY - fixed return or guaranteed return of course it is less since returns are fixed upfront but it is GUARANTEED . NPS - hawa main ghar . Its not guaranteed.
In this case, how it is worth investing in something there is no minimul guarantee ?

    Sir
My husband is a state government service holder.
1.He has pf and would get pension. He has opened APY (5000) as bank suggested. Now will it affect APY pension?
    2. Can he now open NPS account? Can a person have govt pension (he might get 3000/month), APY (5000/month) and NPS at the same time?
    3. In case we can open three pension accounts, will there be any tax issues?
The total monthly pension amount (Govt pension+ APY+ NPS) will be hardly 15000.

Sir pls tell me one thing......kya NPS ka rate of interest coming 20 years me same rahega? If not then, kya humara paisa NPS ke har saal ke rate of interest ke upar vary karega? Kya garrenty hai ki rate girega nehi? Aap ko toh pata hi hai india ke inflation ke bare me....
Also one another point I would like to add. What if I am not interested to invest my money in any annuity (useless) plans? NPS lunga toh jhak marke minimum 40% annuity me dalana hi parega...
Then APY is ok na??? Please confirm
