I like how the “Love is a powerful magic” trope is recycled and given a new perspective on a villain couple like this, placing the power of love on the dark side.
and if there are a romance between Asha and star boy it could be Love in good side VS in bad side. Specialy cute if the good side is a slow burn, because you can add comedi for the dark one (I mean, something like " *cute voice* they make me remember our first date, *annoy voice* exepct you aren't incompetent")
Asha as the actual princess? Starboy as the love interest? The king and queen being a villain couple, and the possibility to have *This* as the villain song? There were so many opportunities to have the best movie for the 100th anniversary and they bombed it😭💀
@@AsrielmerrymoonInclusion, no. _Improper_ Inclusion, yes (albeit a very minor problem compared to an overall lack in direction thanks to divisive decision-making. That was the major problem.) She had to have a variety of friends which most added nothing, the Queen likely couldn’t be a bad guy due to modern Hollywood standards, no romance because it influences young girls, yada yada. Many decisions for our version of Wish were because of the “modern day entertainment values.” Could they be done much better and this movie would’ve been done good? Sure, if the studio weren’t on the anniversary deadline it definitely wouldn’t have been this bad and they know it too. But at the moment, because of the current media values, they had to force through many changes of the prototype plot because of either fear or stubbornness. That and the references, god they were everywhere for no reason. That one’s much more my nitpicking than anything though, the rest are just personal observation and opinion as well. So, take it with a grain of salt!
Can we talk about Asha’s design here? Like, she’s so pretty. A Disney princess whose main dress color is _cream_ would be so lovely. Also, she wouldn’t feel like a Rapunzel rip off.
@@JudgeDunfeeTheParkitecterwell I mean… considering she’s their daughter in this AU and wearing what I assume to be formal wear, it makes sense that she’d look more like the king and queen than a peasant
She could have started with that color to show how she was in her parents' side, but as the story progresses and she notices what they are doing behind the scenes, it changes to gold, maybe?
@@dinodoeseditz It's not that the film sucked... It had all the right credentials to be a spectacular film but they opted for a much more banal plot, which to be honest is worse.
You should check out "Alicia and the Kingdom of Starlight". A group of independent creators have banded together to remake the film but gave it another name to avoid copyright issues. It's really good! The first 25 minutes are out and, in my opinion, their work is incredible!
Asha as a princess who has to make a hard choice in defeating her evil parents? Hell yeah this is what disney is supposed to be!! They made a lot of princess movies to show the strength and bravery of women! We were so robbed
I love how they both take turns mock-bowing and kneeling to each other. It really shows how they’re a team in this, there’s no true, singular “mastermind” behind their plot- they’re doing this as together as equals.
It’s not a webcomic but pinkiemachine Studios on RUclips is rewriting the entire movie and doing storyboards for it. She’s also doing songs and stuff like that
@Te-legram-me-MilkyyMelodies Way ahead of you there on liking the video (which was absolutely lovely). As for my day well... it's going. Nothing like having to get back into the swing of college after a break that was way too short and the challenges of hair care 😑 I love your original Wish song BTW. It makes me wish we really got the Disney villain couple.
Sadly I think Disney believes in only two categories when it comes to villains: no relationship b/c their evil and deserve no one or dysfunctional and/or toxic
I WISH Wish had its original plot. Also, it would’ve been so interesting for an evil couple to genuinely love and adore their daughter. They treated her well, their most precious “star”. It could lead to a lot of story potential with relationship dynamics, “We did everything for you” “You destroyed everything I love, including yourselves.”
@@simona7069they could try locking her up like a tangled plot but instead they’re legitimately trying to protect her and keep her safe while not realizing they’ve destroyed who they once were
I love how at 0:09 when king Magnifico says "forget that pathetic light!", the painting depicts them both in the shadow, with Asha in the light.. thats so cool ngl
Why do I kinda love that they addressed Asha as "our daughter" in private? Evil couple wholeheartedly accepting Asha kinda makes me happy...? Edit: I know she was supposed to be their daughter originally. I made this comment in regards to the plot described in the description.
@@ProfessorChaos56this would've been such a interesting way to take the family dynamic, like fully complex on terms of them having evil intentions yet getting attached to Asha
I love how everyone is using the "Star Boy" concept. This particular design was supposed to be in the cartoon, but it was cancelled. But no one cares. The artists decided that they liked Star Guy better and continue to draw him. The creators of "Soul" really missed a lot.😂😂
What I love is that every time she tries to bow, he’s immediately like “oh, no sweetie you don’t bow. You never bow, let me bow for and to you.” Like, he’s completely whipped for her, and wouldn’t dare let her touch the ground. Disney completely hates us.
@MissPumpkinJuice I know right! The power of villian and the power of a duet would be so coooool but nope disney decided to give us this weird unpolished thing
Plus the heroine is their daughter, the princess. It would have been an interesting dynamic and a interesting story about how one’s parents are just people equally flawed as everyone else, reality of adulthood and the reality of perusing one's wishes/ dreams and what you have to do to not only pursue it but not lose one's self and or the ones you care about.
It's very rare that the rough draft is wayyy better than the actual movie. I would've killed to have this! Whoever said the movie that sounds like it was made by AI was better should be fired.
@@Muna-Jlore0997 In a lot of ways, with what we got, King Magnifico is Bob Iger, destroying dreams and wishes he views as PROBLEMATIC and doing only what is best for him alone.
I love how on the painting of royal family, Asha is the only one smiling and fully in the light which shows her as a good person/her being a bright future for Rosas while Magnifico and Amaya are partly covered in shadow which shows their true intentions. The details😍
This song implies a story SO much better than the original. King and Queen were faking their "good side" all this time to gather their wishes to control them with their power. And that their daughter is the main character instead of some random girl makes it more like Old Disney.
They’re both psychotic but genuinely love each other. Reminds me of the Briarwoods from Critical Role. Both villainous, cold hearted killers but they love each other and are unwilling to betray one another. Which reminds me, you could make an original song about Critical Role villains such as Delilah Briarwood’s song as well as Raishan’s.
I've just left a comment about the Briarwoods, glad that I am not the only one to do it.) Just to add: they are not only unwilling, they, I assume, will never betray each other. That is what makes their couple even more dangerous.
Oh my god, their wedding rings being the vessels for the magic! This totally sold me on the evil couple idea. And the kiss at the end! Ugh this whole animatic is just **chef's kiss**
I love that the King is backing up and supporting the Queen! And I love how Asha is their kid which would make sense and put her in a position to actually see everything!
I like the implication that Asha is going through her rebellious phase against her parents, which just happens to be the right thing to do in this case. But still makes it all the more funny.
Hot take: I think Disney, give us this mediocre film, and despite it was being disliked by all, gives us a lot of creativity by everyone! Re-writes, remakes, animatics, original ideas, tributes to other Disney films, etc, are made from us!
Gives us the rights to the movie and we’ll put together a team. Then we’ll remake it and in exchange we give Disney some of the revenue that the movie makes. It’s a win win win win. artists and animators who are losing their pay due to AI work on the project and get paid, underrated voice actors who have talent could be recognize and start a career, people who make music like Melody and Or3o could have their song making skills get recognized, we get a film that everyone enjoys and Disney gets the only things they care about, hard cold cash. Who knows it could make a whole new studio for entertainment and could lead us out of this entertainment drought we seem to be having with companies nowadays
Well look at the independent animation shows they are actually popping off on RUclips/ recognize hazbin hotel, helluva boss, murder drones, lackadaisy, and so on.
I'm as disappointed as the rest of you about what we ended up with. But look on the bright side, we can still create our own fan movies, fan art, fan fiction and fan comics using what you believe that we have been robbed of, which is what those stupid, spoiled bratty executives can never take away from us. We are free to make our own OCs, heroes and villains in any way we wish and nobody can tell us otherwise.
Disney’s first Villain Couple and a duet song together in an AU! Also Star seeing the evil duo plan and then rushing off to warn Asha felt like a homage to how other Disney sidekicks like Scuttle and Roquefort see the villain for what they are or scheme their doom and then go off warning the hero/allies.
@@Xylospring I’m sure the multi-millionaires here could technically do that… and then Disney would have them arrested for using their characters likeness to profit off of it 😂😂
I feel like if Disney decided to go this route then every villain would side eye with envy because there never has been a villainous couple like them its hillarious
If disney was smart and still in her top era, like the 90'-2000 , we would have gotten a master piece song like this and mostly a master piece of a movie. The king and queen as evil couple, love story between Asha and starboy, better story line that would make more sense, better characters!ots such a pity because this movie could have been one of the best top movies. The concept ideas prove it.
Yeah disney seems to have a lot of mediocre writers who think they don't have to write a great story or characters because it's for kids. Meanwhile in that time period, they followed Walt Disney's line of thinking that the kids today would be the adults tomorrow. They knew they had to make a good story and characters that kids wouldn't mind revisting as adults so their kids could enjoy it. Very sad how mediocre and out of touch disney is today. Bob iger doesn't share Disney's vision and even said cartoons are only for children, could explain why the quality feels like it's gone down hill.
@@horsewings3561 the writers were good, it was the executives that wanted a "safer" storyline and thus the writers had no choice but to adhere to their wishes
It's sad what we could of had. I mean, a story of a princess who falls in love with a star-being, while also having to face her own parents? We could of had an evil Disney version of Gomez and Morticia Addams. With that, Disney would have probably ended their 100th celebration with a bang...instead of a boom.
i love the little details in this animatic!! the couple throwing their wedding rings in the cauldron, magnifico being subtly submissive to amaya, the visuals being extremely faithful to the original movie, and the lil cat fed up of their attitude aaaaaaaa
I NEED to see more of this AU! The King and Queen adopting Asha, Asha and Starboy meeting (and falling in love), and Asha defeating her evil "parents" 😍
@@stefaniarussoI doubt Asha would even see her them as her parents anymore, if I was her, I would see them as nothing more then demons, would you agree.
@@ZillaFury2542I've read a few fanfictions on ao3 about Asha being adopted by amaya and magnifico then running away from home after finding out that they are the villains.
@@ZillaFury2542 Well, the way they speak about Asha, it seems they genuinely viewed her as a daughter, so it wasn't all a lie. Asha would probably still have complicated feelings about having to face them.
Disney really fumbled scrapping Amaya as a villain. Not only because of potential of a villain couple but also in excluding a female villain from their disney tribute. I mean come on The Evil Queen, Maleficent, Lady Tremaine, Ursula, and Mother Gothel. The best of Disney's villain and more importantly all from Disney princess films. In a true tribute Amaya could have stood among them or even surpassed them.
And the wild thing was that Amaya was supposed to be just as villainous as Magnifico. You're amazing video showed us how badass they could've been if they had worked together. 😈💍💚
I absolutely adore the detail at 2.19 Amaya bowing to Magnifico, and Magnifico raising her up by the hand, not even a second later after catching her, like he's evil (in this au anyway), but his wife is his equal, he doesn't want her bowing to him. They look so good evil together here, you did a fantastic job portraying them and their relationship! I've been watching this on replay if that wasn't clear already
You know, at this rate Wish is going to be the new "The Thief and the Cobbler". It was a movie back in the 90's that got trashed by producers trying to make it "more like Disney" and "commercial". Over the years, the creators and fans made a "recobbled" version that resembled their original concept. Now, between the original animatics that were scrapped, the fan animatics, and beautiful original fan songs like THIS, Wish is becoming it's own movie outside of the one Disney produced.
The cat's sasss, Asha's GORGEOUS outfit(the gold and purple! OMGGGGGGG), the way that Magnifico so CLEARLY simps for his wife, the stunning ART, The beautifully HAUNTING chorus, the INSANE power couple energy! This... This is what we deserved from Disney, not the rotting corpse of wasted dreams they gave us!(Man I sound low-key villainous here... Oops =P ) Excellent work to everyone involved w/ making this!
I love how the king was just in love. He already got his wish and that just made this so much better then it already is! I grew up loving villian songs and now? I love romance stuff. This? Would of been amazing in the movie! And Asha being the princess with star the love interest would of been amazing. We were so robbed of a good thing
@@Markus2E5I6 And honestly, would probably be relatable to a good few people too. Parents (or other loved ones) who are very much self-serving people, but seem to love you, so you've got the internal conflict offighting them vs wanting to go back to the happier/more stable times. Like maybe you could reach them if you just try hard enough. Instead we got Asha singing about "wanting more than this" in the context of "we basically have no harship appart from being upset that the vaguer wishes are hard for one man to fulfil to complete satisfaction and he worries it will sow discontent and people might riot if they believe he can't do his job to their exalted/uninformed standards"
I like how Magnifico gives off a goofier vibe and Amaya has a more elegant vibe in this! You and Caleb did good with the song! I’d watch a version of Wish like this
@@obehiikhigbonoaremen1241 I honestly never bothered watching wish, so my reference was more to the difference I noticed between the two in the animatic
@@obehiikhigbonoaremen1241 original concept Magnifico feels more dominating and sinister, which i personally like. Goofy is good sometimes, but for a villain couple of their 100 years, i liked the original concept more, mainly cus Magnifico was more ambitious while Queen Amaya was more cunning. They also call each other pet names!
I despised how they went with there relationship in the original, she betrayed him even though he never once hurt anyone. Not even her! He wasn't even a villain and it was such an annoying trope done so poorly. But this! I adore it, there both evil but clearly love one another. Though we were ropped of this, amazing people are able to give people what it could and should nave been. Absolutely adore these two, also love whoever voiced this, sounds absolutely amazing and go together so swell! Wonderful job ❤️
the forehead touch at 2:25 is just perfect. theyre so in love and still so evil! i wish we got this in the movie instead, and also had asha be their biological daughter. It would pose the complex question for Asha to solve about what do you do when those you love are hurting other people?
Props to the artist for showing affection through visuals alone, it adds so much flavor to the characters. The touching, the dancing, the playful bowing and the fact King Magnifico almost never is looking away from his queen. They may be evil but they are goals.
that’s actually because this WAS the plot pitched to Disney, Disney is just getting fucking senile and don’t understand what the people want anymore. (We want Alan Menken and Lin Manuel. That’s all we want.)
@@Sinatragaze because a child who rebels to (tyrannical) parents is seen bad in China. They don't care about delivering a good story, only to not displease certain markets, while ALSO disrespecting those markets (ie wanting to appease Chinese people with Mulan but not committing to actual Chinese plot and elements because, ultimately, Disney doesn't care). Also, a villain woman? What about feminazis who get offended when a woman isn't depicted as the absolute best with no flaws whatsoever (Look at what happened to Katara in the Avatar liveaction, she has literally no flaw thus no personality whatsoever) Disney (and generally mainstream media) try put their foot not in two shoes, but in a dozen shoes at the same time, trying to make the most money by appeasing to everyone while forgetting what makes something succesful: being good. So they end up appeasing no one.
I kinda get the feel during the "Forces over seas" Part it could maybe even have a moment showing some of the other Kingdoms of Disney Movies. Maybe Starting with Snow White, Then Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, for example. Maybe even The Little Mermaid...I mean they are Sorcerers, shy not toss that in too.
I need more Villainous Power-Couples in my life. Evil that have the power of love, or even just genuine friendship, on their side would feel far more threatening and fun than anything else.
'Wish' concept arts have so much potential for the Disney's 100th Anniversary... Like... Starboy who's not only a wishing star but a shape-shifting and a LOVE-INTEREST(IT'S BEEN SO LONG 😭) for Asha?! Asha's strong potential to be a new type of PRINCESS?! A VILLAIN COUPLE WHO SELFLESSLY JUST INLOVE WITH EACH OTHER?! THAT AT ALL COST SONG?! THE PARALLEL ON THE HERO COUPLE AND THE VILLAIN COUPLE?! THOSE DELETED SCENES?! *Sigh* We were literally robbed.. Anyway, LOVE THE SONG AND THIS ANIMATIC! I'll literally play this over and over again! 😊❤
The RINGS>>> Like someone else mentioned, the power of love twisted to the dark side Is just genius. & the brewed magic rings being introduced in a wedding-like sequence just sounds amazing, cherry on top.
I may be over analysing this but I really like the small detail at the end how they don't say the word 'people' in the last line instead engulfing themselves into their lust for each other demonstrating their care for only themselves.
Fr, this idea of an evil power couple and a princess daughter opposing them is quite incredible. I mean, Asha's personality alone would be much more interesting if she was raised by greedy ambitious parents like that.
This song really made me feel sad for the people in this animation. Cause in the original when the wishes get absorbed the people who were attached to those wishes get depressed wich was kinda underwhelming cause it didn’t really seem evil. (Wich don’t get me wrong being depressed sucks but… really?) But in this one the king and queen are not only breaking the peoples spirits by absorbing the wishes… But now mind controlling them as there mindless slaves when there wills are weakened. Thats just messed up. Imagine just getting depressed and anxious out of nowhere with no explainable reason as to why your like this as You go to your king and queen for help and then they strap you down with magic only to start controlling your body and mind as you just have no idea what’s going on but can’t even bother to resist because your so sad to even struggle… now thats evil… Disney really is a coward as they are stupid.
And I noticed that Magnifico and Amaya as villains have both got their costumes brown & white instead of blue & white aswell of adding the exact Star Boy and the cat original concept which are surprising! ⭐️ 💫 3:14 Wow Asha looks stunning with her sparkling braids and her brown & white dress. 🌟✨
I love this fan concept! The villain couple using the people’s wishes to control them and build an army under their command is classic Disney villain level stuff! I love it!!!
@chasetauscher9544 Funnily enough, I didn't care much about the star boy in the concept art at first, but the more I looked into him, the more I warmed up to him. First off, his design is still way better than what he eventually became. Second, the idea of him having the personality/likeness of Peter Pan, being a love interest like most other Disney princes, and having the ability to shape-shift into plenty of animals is so cool, I easily like him the more I look into him.
Ok so after this my mind is blown. 1. Asha being the princess 👸, I love that 2. The song really shows Magnifico and Amaya as the villians they would've been in the movie 3. Although I have mixed feelings about it weither or not Amaya would've been the villan as well, both still would've been amazing to see Everything in this animation was just mind blowing along with the song itself, bravo to you both 👏🏻, following the original concepts that would've been in the film 🎥 and the story it would tell I love it ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍
At first I was unsure about the exposition, but then... the rings, the much better scene of ruling over the people, the design of Asha - everything is so good here. And "maybe next time wish upon a star" hits hard
I love how in the scene when the queen is bowing the king then helps her back up showing how much he does really love her and also showing how much she truly loves him throughout the music video the animation was done beautifully and so was this singing it was perfect honestly ❤️❤️❤️⭐🌟
I wonder what the original motivation was for such a villainous pair. Here's an example that comes to mind: Two war orphans, left to fend for themselves, who had only each other stumbled upon a dark book of spells. With it, they learned to control wishes: to see them and to "extract" them from people. But for some reason, they couldn't see any cherished Wishes within themselves and felt intense envy towards others because of it. Why did others have wishes, wanting to fly, be beautiful, be strong, while they had none? Fate seemed to have shortchanged these orphans. The kids harbored resentment towards the world and decided to spite everyone else by fulfilling all their own desires. To have it all! The entire world! For this purpose, they used magic to create their own kingdom of desires, where they started collecting other people's dreams to amass the power to conquer the world. In the final showdown, they were supposed to lose all their powers but would stand by each other to the end (unlike villains who turn on each other at the first sign of trouble), and only then would they understand why they never had that ultimate wish. Their wish was to find each other, wish of lonely war orphans. And this wish was fulfilled in childhood when they met each other on a nameless road.
This story really had so much potential. I loved the designs of the outfits everyone had and the world, and this just brought back the sheer joy of classic evil villains! What we could have had with these two!! Their little quirks and grandious gestures to each other are amazing. Star Boy going "I have to warn Asha!" is such a good classic trope as well. It just feels so perfect. To you who did the animatic, THE ART IS SO GOOD. FULLY COLORED AND EVERYTHING?? It's gorgeous and I can't stop looking at it!! Asha and Star Boy are so pretty
@@Bubblelove236 Yesss! Jafar, Scar, Dr Facilier, Magnifico could have brought something from each and make it his own thing. They would have been The Power couple!
This movie couldve had a great message about pursuing your dreams yourself instead of relying on a leader who uses pretty words to lie to you. But that would be too close to home for disney.
For real Disney has forgotten about quality and consistency and most importantly effort like it doesn’t have to be good quality just put effort into something like I have been seeing these wish animations using the concept art and story that Disney didn’t even bother to use instead they used cheap lazy shortcuts all because they wanted to make money and instead of a box office hit they made a bomb of a movie that ruins everything that Disney has made over the years
I am so devastated that we lost this, a villain couple. Honestly this plus them both being loyal to each other even through their downfall would have been so much better.
Omg this is actually so hot. The good couple vs the bad couple. This is amazing. The evil oldies vs the bright young things (pun definitely intended). You should have written the movie!
I love how the King And Queens designs compliment their manipulative nature of appearing as kind while actually being evil, lol! They wear light colors with softer looking designs as opposed to more obvious villains in Disney movies!
This concept makes way more sense because they were supposed to be in love and loyal to each other but were so ready to give up on each other in the final stretch 💀
I’m pretty sure that I’d prefer Magnifico and Amaya to remain genuinely in love and not backstab each other even as villains, not only to give them some redeeming trait but also because they’re so fun together!
I like to think that there's an alternate universe where this was the final version of Wish, because the idea of Asha having to defeat her parents while they're corrupted by magic is too amazing an idea to discard. Especially with the version we got. Wish was okayish, but Asha having to make the difficult decision to defy her biological parents isn't something we've seen Disney do before. Yes, Rapunzel defied Gothel, but Gothel wasn't her real mother. The Evil Queen Grimhilde wasn't Snow White's mother, but instead her stepmother, and they never had a final battle in the original Disney animated film. This would've made the audience feel Asha's pain with having to fight her parents in order to protect her people. That would've been a perfect way for the Disney 100 to honor Walt while also entertaining fans.
STOP! This is what REAL villain music should sound like, plus the animatic looks incredible and so are the vocals, this concept should've stayed in the movie but I'm happy that you guys decided to create a villain song that is so much more menacing than "This Is The Thanks I Get?!", great job!
Hell yeah! Why Disney scrapped all the cool stuff they had planned for Wish is beyond me! Everything about the original concept for Wish slaps so hard, and the idea/concept of magnifico and Amaya being a villain couple is no exception. Really, REALLY wish we got these two as the villains instead. Would've loved it. Love this song by the way, great work, could really see this working into the version we were suppose to get. Also, really love the idea of Asha being a Princess through adoption. Even though I'm unsure if that was ever the original plan or not. You should do At All Costs between Asha and the Starboy next.
It would be totally awesome if in an Epic Mickey 3, these versions of Magnifico, Amaya and all the other concepts of Wish made it into Wasteland. And not just Wish, but all the other stuff from other movies that have come after the first two games!
I could easily envision putting a rap/hip hop beat on this and making it a full pop song.....Especially at 1:08. The songs chorus lends itself very well to that. Amazing work!!! this song goes hard!! The vocals were top notch! this could easily contend with Disney if not beat it entirely!
Short info for those who think Asha's been adopted - an older draft of the story suggested that Asha is actually the royal couples daughter. This would have made for an interesting conflict between evil parents and kid doing right. It was probably dropped however because people would have reacted negative to a parent defying/fighting their parents. - Those problems did exist back then with Ariel, since she was so rebellious and why many considered her a bad influence for kids. Since kids shouldn't disobey their parents no matter how bad/wrong/abusive the parents are. /s Edit: To those who pointed out the general trend of Disney protagonist who rebelled against their parents - that's fair. Doesn't mean that the argument of "kids shouldn't rebel against their parents" doesn't exist, because people complain no matter what is done in media
That's pretty annoying, actually. It would be good to show children that parents aren't always right! And that you don't have to forgive them. However, even tho Asha is canonically of mixed heritage, if she’s supposed to be their biological daughter, that raises a lot of questions in regard to her actual appearance. Lol.
@@obehiikhigbonoaremen1241 I did see a fic where Asha was their adopted daughter, maybe she could have been the only other survivor of the ruined kingdom and despite having no blood relation, they rescued and raised her as their own.
I really don't think that's the reason it was dropped Plenty of kids/ people in Disney movies have opposed their parents/parental figures in the past. It's one of the most used tropes in Disney movies
Finds out Wish originally had Disney's first ever evil power couple: "Oh, that's a neat idea. I wish I could have seen that." After seeing this amazing animatic: "WE WERE ROBBED!!"
Person who loves wish: I think it’s better to just have Magnifico be the villain Listens to this: forget what I said this would’ve the film even more amazing
What I also love is that even though they are evil villains singing their evil villain song, their relationship is still just so lovely. They're flirting with eachother, looking at eachother the whole time, even doing the forehead press. They're evil, just not evil to eachother, and that's what I love.
If the Queen Amaya actually was evil and was just as power hungry as King Magnifico “Steve Trevor”. All the wishes become theirs and they take control of all of Rosas.
I love how the queen sing "Their dreams will never see the light of day" so elegantly in a way were she sounds like good character rather then a antagonist making her more like a good background character to an evil villain
AUGH THIS WAS SO GOOD They were so evil! There was motivation!! There was passion!! These two would have been a great contrast to the love of Asha and the Starboy IF IT HAPPENED
This is why it should be Canon, so that after they were defeated, Asha could become the new Queen of the kingdom and that would make her somewhat of an official Disney princess.

Also, a villain woman? What about feminazis who get offended when a woman isn't depicted as the absolute best with no flaws whatsoever (Look at what happened to Katara in the Avatar liveaction, she has literally no flaw thus no personality whatsoever)

This song really made me feel sad for the people in this animation. Cause in the original when the wishes get absorbed the people who were attached to those wishes get depressed wich was kinda underwhelming cause it didn’t really seem evil. (Wich don’t get me wrong being depressed sucks but… really?)
But in this one the king and queen are not only breaking the peoples spirits by absorbing the wishes… But now mind controlling them as there mindless slaves when there wills are weakened. Thats just messed up.

Everything in this animation was just mind blowing along with the song itself, bravo to you both 👏🏻, following the original concepts that would've been in the film 🎥 and the story it would tell I love it ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍
At first I was unsure about the exposition, but then... the rings, the much better scene of ruling over the people, the design of Asha - everything is so good here.
Here's an example that comes to mind:
Two war orphans, left to fend for themselves, who had only each other stumbled upon a dark book of spells.
For this purpose, they used magic to create their own kingdom of desires,
where they started collecting other people's dreams to amass the power to conquer the world.
Already 200% better than the original plotline. Shoot, I'd pay to see/read this!
Bravo! 👏👏👏👏👏
This would make me cry!!! Beautiful!
con esta animacion te das cuenta que ambos enserio se aman mucho siendo que se apoyan mutuamente
@@jorgeantoniotafurnatividad6685 A diferencia del original, donde son elementos extraños el uno al otro
Oh the way Amaya would reference Mother Gothel AND the Evil queen 😭We may not have that movie, but we got this beautiful video 🥺
She would have been a reference to them and magnífico would have referenced magic mirror obviously and maybe Jafar and all the other male villains
@@Bubblelove236 Yesss! Jafar, Scar, Dr Facilier, Magnifico could have brought something from each and make it his own thing. They would have been The Power couple!
@@d_fnanda and don't forget frollo, the guy who adopts a child and manipulates it
This movie couldve had a great message about pursuing your dreams yourself instead of relying on a leader who uses pretty words to lie to you. But that would be too close to home for disney.
I love how 0:08 shows the light shining on Asha but not on her parents, nice little detail.
Wow i didn't notice that detail, and only found out after reading this comment
@@Alivi000-lh1ze 👍
I like how the king and queen are genuinely in love with each other while still being evil in this.
Totally evil, but healthy green flag relationship :)
I love that they're incredibly in love while also loving being evil
this 3 minute song is better then the Entire wish movie
For real Disney has forgotten about quality and consistency and most importantly effort like it doesn’t have to be good quality just put effort into something like I have been seeing these wish animations using the concept art and story that Disney didn’t even bother to use instead they used cheap lazy shortcuts all because they wanted to make money and instead of a box office hit they made a bomb of a movie that ruins everything that Disney has made over the years
The fans are the future of the company
I am so devastated that we lost this, a villain couple. Honestly this plus them both being loyal to each other even through their downfall would have been so much better.
Omg this is actually so hot. The good couple vs the bad couple. This is amazing. The evil oldies vs the bright young things (pun definitely intended).
You should have written the movie!
And not let MPA and Disney stop you.
I would pay my entire salary to see THIS movie get made
Well maybe don’t go that far but like I would definitely pay to see this get made into a movie
Right ! This is a great idea that I thought of too! 😩
This NEEDS to be made into a full animation
STOP! This is what REAL villain music should sound like, plus the animatic looks incredible and so are the vocals, this concept should've stayed in the movie but I'm happy that you guys decided to create a villain song that is so much more menacing than "This Is The Thanks I Get?!", great job!
I know right? This does feel scary and menacing, "this is the thanks I get?" sounds more like the song for the fool of town"
At least now movie makers will know what story the people want to see thanks to this movie
Edit: To those who pointed out the general trend of Disney protagonist who rebelled against their parents - that's fair.
Lol.
@@obehiikhigbonoaremen1241
I did see a fic where Asha was their adopted daughter, maybe she could have been the only other survivor of the ruined kingdom and despite having no blood relation, they rescued and raised her as their own.
@@gracekelley2907 Thanks!
The thing is, she does not look like them at all. So that's why I think she was adopted in the older drafts.
I really don't think that's the reason it was dropped
Plenty of kids/ people in Disney movies have opposed their parents/parental figures in the past. It's one of the most used tropes in Disney movies
EVIL YET COUPLE GOALS!? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? BEAUTIFUL!
Finds out Wish originally had Disney's first ever evil power couple: "Oh, that's a neat idea. I wish I could have seen that."
After seeing this amazing animatic: "WE WERE ROBBED!!"
Not only were they both the villains but they truly love each other and see the other as equals
Person who loves wish: I think it’s better to just have Magnifico be the villain
Listens to this: forget what I said this would’ve the film even more amazing
This song is our message to Disney
Our wishes never did come true 😔😔😔😔
Imagine all of the Halloween couples costumes they could have sold
What I also love is that even though they are evil villains singing their evil villain song, their relationship is still just so lovely. They're flirting with eachother, looking at eachother the whole time, even doing the forehead press. They're evil, just not evil to eachother, and that's what I love.
3:11 omg asha's princess outfit + the deer looks so iconic 🥺💕
If the Queen Amaya actually was evil and was just as power hungry as King Magnifico “Steve Trevor”.
All the wishes become theirs and they take control of all of Rosas.
I love how the queen sing "Their dreams will never see the light of day" so elegantly in a way were she sounds like good character rather then a antagonist making her more like a good background character to an evil villain
AUGH THIS WAS SO GOOD
They were so evil!
There was motivation!!
There was passion!!
These two would have been a great contrast to the love of Asha and the Starboy
IF IT HAPPENED
This is why it should be Canon, so that after they were defeated, Asha could become the new Queen of the kingdom and that would make her somewhat of an official Disney princess.
