I actually saw a post about how in the Medieval times a Christening was a public event and everyone was invited. And that by inviting the colorful fairies and not Maleficent the king and queen chose sides in the fairy political realm and publicly humiliated Maleficent. And even further humiliated her when she tried to give them a chance when she showed up and say her invitation got lost. But they went nope, we don’t want you here. This origin story is also nice and I do like it.
@@superiorrule34 Where did you read that? From what I read she was an old fairy who had not left her tower in years and had gotten angry that she was forgotten by the king and queen when they invited the other fairies.
@@slingshothero8856That’s from the original book. And the invitation thing was actually forgiven, but the real final straw was that because they thought she was dead, they were one golden plate short for her space and none of the other nobles would give it up, so they tried giving her a lower quality plate and hoped she didn’t notice. The post OP is talking about is more based on the original Disney movie, and is pretty accurate. With the context of not inviting Mal to the christening, but inviting the ‘Good’ fairies that she was feuding with, by medieval custom, it sent a statement that Stefan was taking sides in a conflict against Maleficent, rather than just being about a little girl’s birthday.
The hilarious part is, if they did properly invite Maleficent, Aurora would’ve gotten a slew more, even better gifts as Maleficent and the 3 Fairies constantly tried to outdo each other.
Stefan finally realised his mistake and he might regret of hurting Maleficent, but now he won’t ever forgive himself as he pretends that everything is okay after she’s gone
Now THAT'S how you do a Maleficent origin story! A perfect blend of what was presented in the original film, and the extra stuff we got from supplementary material (in this case, the live-action movie). Top-notch work as always!....
The biggest thing i enjoyed about the Maleficent movie was that it actually gave a pretty decent explanation as to WHY she Cursed Aurora in the first place. In the Sleeping Beauty movie, all we know about Maleficent is that she's an evil witch who Cursed an innocent child for no other reason than 'why the eff not?' It never goes into detail as to why Mal is the way she is, or why she decided to hurt an innocent baby for no reason at all. The Maleficent movie, and this video give a pretty damned good explanation to why she is the way she is.
En la original el único motivo fue porque al parecer fue la única que no fue invitada. Y de por sí como era malvada pues hizo lo que hizo. Pero en el live action si dieron un buen motivo, lo cuál me gustó mucho
I see the not being inviting thing as a substantial enough reason for a psycho like her to justify cursing the child. Plus I've always seen the OG Maleficent just being really bored with her immense power and just made a mountain out of a molehill over not being invited lmao
The song about the love between Phillip and Aurora is used as a the song for Stefan and Maleficent's romantic backstory! This is a great adaption from that Maleficent remake movie. I'd call it an adaptation because these pieces of work both have the same backstory for the character, great job as always!

She sort of had one in the film. She became good in the end, and killed Stefan. But, to me, it doesn’t work. It felt rushed and unearned. Now, if by some miracle or magic, this dark fae came back from the dead. And redeemed herself, not for Aurora, but it coming from within. Such as her taking on a disguise and finding a new tyrant has overtaken the kingdom and burned down most of the forest, and enslaved her friends, and taking the time to relearn her powers, then it would feel earned. People are most open to change at their lowest point. Hell, have Aroura’s daughter be a rebel under the new King’s thumb that he doesn’t know about. Maybe she knows the tale of her mother, and was told a version where, she believed the dark fairy deserved better, spreads the legend of Sleeping Beauty and the version her mom told her. Love the homage to the first Maleficent movie & rewritten lyrics of the original Sleeping Beauty song to fit the scenes! Loved watching the animation too (the part about her donning a cape to hide her wing stumps gave me goosebumps). Fun video!

That troupe always bugged me. If a villainous character curses a person, it's never really *them* who's cursed, always some kind of descendant. It could be a child, grandchild, or someone 1,000 years down the line. Plus, it's almost never a full-grown adult, either a newborn baby or a teenager with usually too much to deal with as is. But, it is still an effective plot point to kick off a storyline, regardless of whether it comes up roses or pushes up daisies in the end. 🌹 📖🌼

Maleficent and Ursula are two of my favorite Disney villains, and I would love to see your take on what led the Evil Queen from Snow White and Lady Tremaine from Cinderella to become as wicked and ruthless as the mistress of all evil and the sea witch.
The situation of Maleficent from the live-action movie, which this song takes elements from, has spurred me to think about how a fae legal system would work with all the pacts and promises and how this case would play out.
Love this song and i feel so bad for Mal she clearly loved him and they had alot in comman. He had absoulutly no right to lie and betray her like this even if he didn't kill her what he did was unforgivable she deserved better and did the right thing standing up to him. Amazing job❤❤❤❤
I always enjoy seeing the backstory songs you come up with. I actually liked the Maleficent 2014 movie and the sequel but always viewed it as AU because it was well live action. It’s hard for me to sympathize with the villain characters because of their actions in the main movie but I love the creativity in these
Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent will always be forever my favorite live action Disney film and this song is beautiful and sad and stunning cause it shows that maleficent has every right to be a villain and get revenge on Stefan for taking away her wings( that scene still kills me though😭) but also for becoming an anti hero towards aurora cause she did love her like she’s her own daughter and when she placed the curse on her she doesn’t want to do it anymore cause she did actually loved her and was just a tragic villain who wanted revenge on Stefan for betraying her!😔 I love how u did different lyrics and how you made the video combing both the cartoon and the live action it really almost made me tear up a bit cause I feel really bad for maleficent!😢💔 best video ever!❤️
Ok, ignoring the song and story, what was in that drink, because she didn’t wake up from the thunder or even the cutting process since that’d take a while from how big her wings are
I'm a huge fan of the Maleficent films, and you seriously did an awesome job with the lyrics and vocals as always. And you and ephermeres always make a great team too with her artwork in your vids!

Woah! This villain origin song is very wicked and cool! This definitely uses a somewhat similar plot to Maleficent's movie! Revenge is a dish best served cold! 😈👍⭐👏
But she still chose to be a villain and curse the kings baby who literally had nothing to do with the betrayal of cutting off her wings if you ask me what she did was extremely selfish and wrong because that is what revenge does poisons your heart and soul
1:30 in the book they changed it slightly to make Stefan WORSE you see after betraying his true love he took her bloody wings to the king but he refused to fulfill his promise because it'd mean polluting the royal bloodline with a peasant. he couldn't bring himself to cry so he took the kings pillow knowing he's old sick and feeble and SMOTHERS HIM rotten till the end huh Stefan
This is so heart-wrenching Now knowing the same guy she used to have love for was the same guy who had aurora Its so sad😢😭 so messed up man this is just so tragic
Story: The two kids at the start of the video were very playful but there was a problem, one was a monster. The boy still liked her and played with her everyday. In their teens, they fell in love. But there was one problem, the boy’s dad was sick and he needed something related to the girl’s wings to heal him. But also another problem, no one could get the wings of the girl since she was a monster and everyone feared her. The boy took the risk since he was the only one the girl trusted. The boy went up to the mountains meeting the girl and gave her a sleeping drink. The girl soon fell asleep and while that there boy cut off her wings. Since nobody has done this, he was crowned king. The girl soon woke up and was in extreme pain after she realized her wings were gone. The animals she tamed helped her hide her tragedy and soon she was named “The Broken Evil” by her animals. But to those who feared her, they called her “The Evil Queen” The girl sought revenge after this tragedy and found a way to avenge her magic. The girl cursed the boy’s newborn baby and got even more furios when he saw the boy’s newly wedded queen. The girl cursed the baby with tears of madness falling from her eyes.
Maleficent looks like a Nymph, a guardian creature of the forest. I saw a violent movie that is about Aurora but it is with the story of Maleficent but in the end in that extreme movie where Maleficent sewed her wings and killed Stefan in the end if you don't believe me Find Maleficent the movie and you will realize how it is, it made me cry 😢
I cried watching Maleficent too. It hurts! I hope Aurora knows her father deserved it. Also, I cried while watching Cruella. It's such a sad movie and I like the ones about the villains the most because they make me favor them (only the broken ones like Maleficent and Cruella). 😊😊❤❤❤😊😊😊❤❤❤
I feel like this is my most favorite Disney inspired song. It really captures the essence of Maleficent and it really does put her in a more positive light as a victim and a hero like it did in the movie. I love how you animated the plotline of the actual movie and how you illustrated what made her a villain. I love how the last line shows how vengeful she is. Stephan took her wings and put her in pain, deceiving her into thinking that he loved her but then mutilating her just to become king, he completely broke her heart and thus, he “killed her dream,” which does indeed line up with the very last line and your animation of how she crushed his dream by cursing his baby to die at the age of sixteen. It’s cool to think that Stephan robbed her of her wings and her ability to trust people and she returned the favor by getting revenge, cursing Aurora to die robbing him of his child and happiness. The irony in that whole thing was just unbelievably impeccable, even though you know it would happen. Overall, this song is absolutely awesome! Keep up the good work!
Stefan should not have hurt Maleficent like that. That was cruel. (That said, his daughter should not have had to pay the price for his cruelty. He should.)
I'm glad this is based on the movie Maleficent. Maleficent and Cruella are two of my favorite characters and movies, I honestly cried while watching both of them. I mean, Cruella had an evil mother who didn't love her and she became a vagabond when her guardian drowned, and besides, Maleficent loved Stefan, and he sacrificed all his love and threw it into the water for the sake of power - that hurts the most.❤❤😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
TL;DR: Love the video, phenomenal music, lyrics and visuals. While the Maleficent movie isn’t my cup of tea, your use of it was great and even an improvement over the Mal movie in some areas. Hope to see more of your work. Long version: I never really liked the Maleficent movie’s take on things. Giving Maleficent a sympathetic backstory was never going to work cause: A) nothing justifies cursing a newborn to die B) Maleficent was a fae, a nonhuman entity with her own set of morality that humans aren’t supposed to understand, coupled with the context of Stefan committing a faux pas in medieval custom by not inviting her (long story short: he inadvertently took sides in a feud between fairies by inviting the 3 good fairies and not her) actually makes her rather interesting. C) Doing so required the complete character assassination of Stefan, making him the sole reason why she was evil, which never really sat right with me, felt reductive to both cahracters. And D)…Some villains just work better when they’re evil for evil’s sake and love every minute of it. Its good to have villains with sympathetic backstories, but its also fun to just have someone be despicable and relish every minute of it. All that being said, I think this music video was *VERY* well done. The art was great and the mixing of both LA and Animated styles was done really well. I especially love how you cut out Diablo (not Diaval) being a human and just left him as a raven. The music and lyrics are a fantastic mirror of “Once Upon a Dream” and I could see it being used in as a mirror in a confrontation with Aurora. And of course the image of the end of Maleficent laughing on the outside as she obtains her revenge, while she cries on the inside cause deep down she’s hurting and maybe realizing she’s going too far but can’t stop now is striking. It may not be the take on Maleficent I enjoy the most, but I cannot deny I greatly enjoy this version you have crafted for this song. Well done MilkyyMelodies all around. Be proud.
I'm a really big fan. Honestly, I like the songs about the tragic stories of villains the most. My favorite is the one about Maleficent. It started me off, since you did that song mixing Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent, it would be cool if you did a song mixing the movie Cruella and 101 Dalmatians about the background story of Cruella De Vil. She is my favorite Disney villain of all time, next to Maleficent, but Creulla is so cruel and talented and just, well, iconic, so she somehow rises.😂❤❤❤
Hi ! Love your voice, the drawing, everything! You have a talent for sure, continue! Can you please do Ursula vilain origin song next time ? Or maybe her little sister Morgana ? (yeah, i think i was the only one who loved "the little mermaid 2")
The text you provided suggests that Maleficent was never truly a villain, but rather, it is the people who fail to see the truth who are the real villains. It highlights the idea that deep within Maleficent's heart lies a burning light, which is constantly trying to shine, but is suppressed by those who embrace darkness.

Milkyy! This was awesome! I loved it!
Maleficent is my FAVORITE anti-hero! She QUEEN! :)
Same😂 I also love Cruella. And she's an anti-hero with a sad backstory. That got me started, it would be nice to see how her backstory would turn out.
The situation of Maleficent from the live-action movie, which this song takes elements from, has spurred me to think about how a fae legal system would work with all the pacts and promises and how this case would play out.
Makes you worry about what fae class system is as well, do the fairies hate her because she has no wings or because she looks different to them?
Yes! I had a feeling you would go with this version of the song!
That was really good and Diablo is cute when he was baby raven
I like how lydia makes princesses villain song while Melodies make villains backstorys/origin
It’s hard for me to sympathize with the villain characters because of their actions in the main movie but I love the creativity in these
Another Banger you got here! You know your day has improved when a new Milkyy Melodies song drops!
Maybe do Yzma origin villain song? U know, how she get scary and beyond all the reason and became light pale purple....
Yes I like Yzma origin villain song 😊
"Monsters aren't born, they're made"
-A wise person
Ok, ignoring the song and story, what was in that drink, because she didn’t wake up from the thunder or even the cutting process since that’d take a while from how big her wings are
It was a drug to make her unconscious, can't feel anything if you're asleep
I'm a huge fan of the Maleficent films, and you seriously did an awesome job with the lyrics and vocals as always. And you and ephermeres always make a great team too with her artwork in your vids!
Omg my favorite song with my favorite villain! This is amazing
I absolutely love this song❤❤❤. Definitely going straight to my playlist
That explains though they already made a similar movie about it. Woulda been a good addition to the animated cartoon sleeping beauty.
Ya know when i saw the thumbnail i thought this would be like the live action maleficent & i was right!
This is a MASTERPIECE ITS SO AMAZING I LOVE THE ANIMATION AND THE SONG SO MUCH
UR VOICE IS BEAUTIFUL! I love malificents back story and I think what he did was rlly messed up!
Dear god. This is so beautiful. I am in love with this! 💜🖤💚💜🖤💚💜🖤💚
This has to be one of my favorites, it’s so amazing but tragic-
Ahh milky this was amazing 🤩 the animation was so good and your voice ahh loved it 🥰 this was a really good story of how Maleficent turned evil Loved it milkyy sending lots of love to you 💙💙
This is.amazing! I immediately thought of the first Maleficent movie. Had this on repeat for a good hour one million out of 10 you did amazing!
💚😭💚😭💚😭
This is beautiful but heartbreaking!
Woah! This villain origin song is very wicked and cool! This definitely uses a somewhat similar plot to Maleficent's movie! Revenge is a dish best served cold!
😈👍⭐👏
Honestly valid tbh. he chopped off her wings bro. And broke her heart. Shes not evil. Shes just broken.
But she still chose to be a villain and curse the kings baby who literally had nothing to do with the betrayal of cutting off her wings if you ask me what she did was extremely selfish and wrong because that is what revenge does poisons your heart and soul

in the book they changed it slightly to make Stefan WORSE
you see after betraying his true love he took her bloody wings to the king but he refused to fulfill his promise because it'd mean polluting the royal bloodline with a peasant.
he couldn't bring himself to cry so he took the kings pillow knowing he's old sick and feeble and SMOTHERS HIM
rotten till the end huh Stefan
Oh gosh this is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I love this so much!!!!
Dang that was amazing!!!! I had chills listening to this song!

I love this totally just like the movie origin of Maleficent
This is so heart-wrenching
Now knowing the same guy she used to have love for was the same guy who had aurora
Its so sad😢😭 so messed up man this is just so tragic
I can tell you got the Maleficent movie inspo for this!
1:30 did anyone else think of Elsa’s coronation or is it just me?
No i thought that too-
2:13 Everything about this part is CHEF'S KISS
I love this. Pleeese make a follow-up with her loving Aurora
1:12 😢 i feel bad for her.
She loved and trusted him.
He cut off her wings to be king.
She wasn't evil she just betrayed by the person she loved
Stefan should not have hurt Maleficent like that. That was cruel.
(That said, his daughter should not have had to pay the price for his cruelty. He should.)
It goes to show what people or in this case magic folk would do blinded by anger gilt or sadness
Giving Maleficent a sympathetic backstory was never going to work cause:
A) nothing justifies cursing a newborn to die
B) Maleficent was a fae, a nonhuman entity with her own set of morality that humans aren’t supposed to understand, coupled with the context of Stefan committing a faux pas in medieval custom by not inviting her (long story short: he inadvertently took sides in a feud between fairies by inviting the 3 good fairies and not her) actually makes her rather interesting.
Beautiful.
What a beautiful melody!
sometimes it’s better to experience heartache and learn from it than to remain in a painful situation.
Hi ! Love your voice, the drawing, everything! You have a talent for sure, continue! Can you please do Ursula vilain origin song next time ? Or maybe her little sister Morgana ? (yeah, i think i was the only one who loved "the little mermaid 2")
DID ANYONE NOTICE STAFAN SMILED WHEN HE HANGED MALEFICENT'S WINGS??!! (In this part 1:48)
This is straight up from the maleficent movie. Only except maleficent stays evil in this, I love it.
Okay now I feel bad for all the Disney villains 😢❤❤❤ I love this song and the other ones you did for the villains
IT STUCK TO THE BOOKKKKK!! THANK YOU
😁Truly Great work as always!!!😁

YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CROW SCREAM
1:09 GOD DAMN THIS PART IS BEAUTIFUL
The text you provided suggests that Maleficent was never truly a villain, but rather, it is the people who fail to see the truth who are the real villains. It highlights the idea that deep within Maleficent's heart lies a burning light, which is constantly trying to shine, but is suppressed by those who embrace darkness.
Milky, awesome job with song!!! You're the best!!! Keep being awesome!!! 😎
If what happens in your villain vids is their actual origin I’m rooting for the villains in every Disney movie I watch from now on
Oh man, this was beautiful. and I loved seeing validation for Maleficent.
