This was very good song that perfectly shows one of the most popular beliefs on how Hades became the ruler of the underworld. I really enjoy different mythologies. Even though the drawing of string interpretation is one of the most well known it's not explicitly detailed in classical myths and only one of the few other interpretations that explains why Hades rules the underworld. There are few others as well and some say that Hades wasn't tricked at all to rule the underworld. Hades actually much prefers his palace than to reside in Olympus in the original mythos so that does give it some weight. He was also actually more altruistically inclined in mythology. I'm starting to think milkyymelodies is actually one of the muses in disguise, she's amazing
Showing Hades protecting Poseidon in Kronos’ stomach adds so much more weight to the story.Hades genuinely loved his younger brother and Poseidon repaid Hades by dooming him to eternal misery and forming an alliance with a brother he barely knows in the name of more power.
Aw sick this is great! He’s gotta be my fav Disney villain and Greek god. Tbh he was the chill one outa his brothers who were kinda jerks. I love how you added the scene from the movie when he’s in the boat in the underworld it’s so iconic and also I love how you made the singer turn back into stone at the end with the harp, keep up the great work with your amazing voice!
I am from Greece and I can say that this song is surprisingly accurate.
It's even worse because as the firstborn son of Cronos, the cosmos were Hades's by right so I can see why he was so pissed with his brothers.
Fun fact: Kronos has 2 mentions in Disney Hercules Cartoon, a song about him, and even a picture of him
Yeah, although it’s unfortunate that he never made a proper appearance.
1:03 Suddenly "OH NO, CHRONOS IS HOT" moment
Literally since he’s somewhat depicted as a lava monster here, kinda like his Percy Jackson movie version.
Damn!!! this is so sad.... You can see why Hades would be pissed off and angry but at the same time it doesn't excuse what he did to Hercules.
EDIT:Thx for the 300 likes guys!
True but it’s kinda the same for Maleficent’s villain origin song
How could Zeus and Poseidon do that to their own brother like that?!
@@kpc9602 well in actual mythology
It's just a random draw and Hades just drew the shortest
He's also not like
Upset abt it and such
The Underworld isn't actually 1:1 with hell in Greek Mythos, it just became such after Christianity got involved
Hades rules over it with responsibility and interacts with his brothers just fine
Agreed
@@firegirl2202 Agreed. In all honesty, the underworld is actually a pretty sweet gig. He doesn't just rule the fields of punishment, he also has dominion over paradise. Like of course he doesn't hang out in the surface with the rest of his family. Why would he when essentially heaven is a shorter commute?
This is really a true story 🥹
This was very good song that perfectly shows one of the most popular beliefs on how Hades became the ruler of the underworld. I really enjoy different mythologies. Even though the drawing of string interpretation is one of the most well known it's not explicitly detailed in classical myths and only one of the few other interpretations that explains why Hades rules the underworld. There are few others as well and some say that Hades wasn't tricked at all to rule the underworld. Hades actually much prefers his palace than to reside in Olympus in the original mythos so that does give it some weight. He was also actually more altruistically inclined in mythology. I know this is based on a cartoon and a lot of current day pop culture media shows him as a evil villain which is fine and does show a potential bitterness against his younger brother which does give good ideas for stories. It's just nice to see stuff like this that shows Hades other sides of himself.
I love how you made the muse of melodies based off your looks! An amazing detail! 💞
I love how the muse is the “Muse of Melodies”, and the Muse also looks similar to MilkyyMelodies’s profile. Attention to detail amirite?
Hades is one of my favorite Disney Villains, so comedic😆
Hades is pretty chill in Greek mythology. I like the song though I do wish you mentioned their Mom
Yes, Rhea. She saved Zeus by putting a stone in its place and feeding it to her husband. In some versions of the myth, she also managed to save her other children.
The fact u added Aphrodite and Artemis and Apollo were not there is a crime worth mentioning
Artemis and Apollo weren't even born yet when all this happened and Aphrodite was busy living under the sea.
"you go girl" love that line
in greek mythology hades was really the nicest and most normal dude you could have met i think hermes was too
Compared to his siblings yes he is but Hades has his metaphorical closet of skeletons
@@Lord-Regent-of-the-Imperium i mean yeah, like everyone but still he isnt the worst, greek myth is... crazy
dear hermes
stop stealing my memes
I can see why Hades became a villain when he was treated like that after his intensely traumatic childhood.
In this version or series.
The jokes on Zeus. In the end all mortals must enter Hades realm. He was practically the only god that never did anything to torment humanity. At least not until some fool first messed with him or his wife, even then he only punished those individuals.
"You go girl 💅💅" 0:32
SLAY
Poor Hades. No wonder he wanted to make Zeus suffer.
I know right
1:28 GOOSEBUMPS ✨🫡
HE THREW A THUNDER BOLT
After the Movie ended:
Zeus: Hades, I’ve apologized a thousand times already.
Hades: And I’ve rejected your apology A THOUSAND TIMES!!
Poseidon: We’re still cool right?
I would love another one of these for Hades and Persephone 🙏🏻😍 Edit: oh sorry I got excited & forgot to put in my feedback! 😅 This is really good, one of the best musical Disney animatics I’ve seen on the platform. I love the Maleficent one too. Bravo 👏🏻
Hades was literally the most chill god among the Olympians. And posiedon tried to overthrow Zeus once .Disney did him wrong
MilkyyMelodies the Goddess+Muse of Melodies…a very fitting title.💖🎶😉
Really glad you stuck with the original story of Hades.
Hades: 🎶The King of Evil🎶
I really love these series, please don’t stop making these.
Some of these Disney Villains deserve some love and justice too.
For your consideration, really hope you make these Disney Villains Origins soon: Cruella, Jafar, King Magnifico, Captain Hook, Oogie Boogie, Scar, Yzma, Gaston, The Evil Queen(Grimhilde), and The Queen of Hearts.😈🎶🤞
Like cruellas could be about the cruellas movie
Jafars could be about his life as a street rat
King magnificos could be about how he lost his family and built Rosa's
Captain hooks could be about how he was once friends with Peter Pan and how he betrayed him
Oogie boogies could be about how he and Jack were once friends and how Jack cheated his way to be the pumpkin king
Scars could be about how he got his scar like in the lion guard and how mufasa used deception to get the thron
Yzmas could be about how much she loved her father and how kuzcos ther executed him for making kuzcos cry
Gaston could be about how his father influenced him to become the person he is in the movie
The evil queens could be the exact same tale as snow white
The queen of hearts could be about how she's a reflection of Alice's dark side
@@nathanwilliams585 Yes. Thank you for summarizing it.😊👍
Hopefully Milkyy reads both our comments.
I love the use of actual Greek mythology here.
i gotta say that this is much more accurate to the actual greek myth and also the harmony at the start was so great
I love how she made the main muse herself 👍🏼
As a fan of Greek mythology I love this video! Shows how different Hades's fate could have been if Zeus hadn't been a jerk. Wish Hades could be happy
I love how the girl that’s singing looks like milky😊 0:43
Hades needs his own song....shame they didnt do that in the movie...but the show and man he done dirty in the movie too, and man i wished he get his own film, Disney really made Hera and Zeus good people and yet gotten Hades the shaft
For all i know Hades was not evil. He was actually one of the most loyal Gods when it came to love and was willing to help travelers however he could. Still one of my fav movies btw❤❤ Great Job🎉
the saddest part wasn't how hades was cheated out of a good realm, but how is own brother, poseidon, choose to rig the game and worked for zeus, i know he saved them but hades was by poseidon's side while they were in their own dad's stomach
I was waiting for this
Zeus is a serial rapist and Hades is a generally cool dude, he didn't do anything other than kidnapping Persephone
hades also cheated on her with Nymph. But hades is not worse as zeus and Poseidon
Ahh! That was amazing! I hope there’s a part 2 to this! ❤
I love your voice. It’s beautiful.
I love these songs
0:15 that killed / thrown his own father into the abbys and later had more kids with mortals than eny other god
It’s been almost 30 years, and that tune still slaps.
Amazing like alwayss
I loved this and I especially loved the fact that MillkyyMelodies is the person who tells the story as a goddess of music and ancient tales
Yo, that Kronos design is both awesome and pretty fitting for the kind of character he is.
Kinda reminds me of Percy Jackson
@@animebrat76glad I’m not the only one
The Hades of myth and the Hades of the Disney movie are very different. I really enjoyed this. Would be cool to hear other God stories set to other Disney songs. The Muse of Melodies sounds like someone I'd love to see again. ^^
Hades is one of my fav Disney villains but he's also my fav Greek god, love it ❤
@@CelineRobichaud1986 Thank you ^_^
I swear Hades got the worst end of everything. This is honestly a lot more accurate. Amazing work! 👏👏👏👏👏
Have a wonderful day ❤😢
I want to see Disney's version of the Hades and Persephone myth
Me too!! That's my favorite Greek myth~
I always hate Zeus because he was a playboy and chitter also he was so dictator and reaper like Poseidon except hades who loves his wife and was very responsible for his work
hades did cheated on her with nymph but he not worse as Poseidon and zeus.
zeus can be jerk time to time.
This is one of the fan projects we need more of. Thank you
This is fucking beautiful and art of actually Greek mythology at its finest!!! Keep at it Girl!! This was amazing ❤❤❤ I would die to see more like this! Keep it up! Lovely job 😁
Why is no one talking about the music itself??? As a huge myth fan, I already knew all of this and am glad they are shedding light on it but DAMN the vocals, lyrics and instrumentals are just 🤌
Oh Hades
The smirk young Zeus makes looks so evil, oh and amazing art and vocals!
Justice for Hades, Finally
This is the perfect fusion of the original mitology and the history of the movie
i love you milkkymelodies the way you created tge song was the best i ever listened❤
I love how you made yourself a character
(Gasp) Oh my God!😨 Poor Hades.😔
There’s more than meets the eye to every story!
The fact is that Poseidon work with Zeus to sabotage Hades when he was when Hades was the one that took care of Poseidon when they were stuck in their father’s stomach and him to sabotage his brother when he kept him on him and kept him from being scared crazy, crazy crazy
Loved this amazing backstory! Also, anyone else notice the evolution of Hades's chin 😁
I am the muse of melodies 0:36
-Milkyy
This my be your shortest song but it doesn't cover anything up and show the truth and nothing but the truth. Short, sweet and gets to the point.
Ahh as a fan of Greek Mythology and Percy Jackson I absolutely adore this 😍
Amazing - your 3 minute song was more faithful to actual Greek mythology than the entire Disney movie.
You go girl😉
I LOVE when she said "I'll take it from here, Darling~!" SO GOOD❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
