Having lots of nano fish together really makes a cool display. So much action, and it kind of forces you to look closely into the tank. It's always hard to break down a tank, but it's exciting once you have a blank canvas. Can't wait to see what you have in store. Take care, MJ.
3:46 funny to see that there was already one C. pygmaeus among all the C. hastatus in your small tank... ;-)
Love how the big shallow has matured! and excited for the new scape.
Great choice adding another group of different smaller Corys! I think that was a better option than getting more for your already decent size group! Can’t wait to see what you have in mind for that re scape Mark!
I really appreciate the effort you into choosing the background music in these videos. I watch aquarium videos to relax, and this is one of my favorite channels for that. Thanks for all of the energy you put into the details in these videos.
Glad you like them!
@@MJAquascaping that tank you have the corys in looks nothing like what their natural habitat is in the amazon. how wood you feel if i forced you to live in the jungle in africa

Deconstructing a tank is always so bittersweet but also exciting! I am really looking forward to the new scape!
Also, I think that extra group of Corys is perfect for the shallow.
Corys love sand they spend hours upon hours in my tank digging in it once i made more of an area for them to sift
Can't wait for the new scape... and the corydoras hastatus look quite doog with the other fish and they make it look way more lively ❤
I think so too!
Just finished a little session on the new competition tank. Turn on the RUclips’s for a doob and chill…First Vid That Pops Up minutes ago 🙌🏼 good timing brother 👊🏼
Whoop!!
I have 6 otos in a 220l tank - they often hid away in the plants and it was rare they came out in the day. In the back I had some big patches of hygrophilla polysperma and I think they hid in them to avoid the high light (and presumably nibbled on whatever they liked)
I recently replaced the hygrophilla with rotala OJ and (as the planting in less dense) they are often out now but I do feel slight guilt I have ‘pushed’ them out.
Although I agree to add more fish to encourage more open behaviour, I also figure let the fish do what they want if they are secretive.
Good morning MJ! I’m sad to see the nano tank be taken down but all good things come to an end. I did notice the black brush has come back in the big shallow and wanted to let you know if you haven’t heard clethon snails eat black brush and green dust very well. Also known as the yellow and black horned neurite snail.
Big shallow looking beautiful and lively
Such a beautiful tank.
corydora always my favourite,,, love to see them ,, i will miss this tank, my top favorite one... goldy
Wooow love the final result 🙏all those reds are so intense 😊beautiful selection of plants :) great job
9:27 for me i always keep the wild or less colors.. they perfect camouflage.. almost didn’t seen in tank
Yeah in some tanks it's nice to have some color, but in some tanks you rather not see them, but still get the benefits! Then the wild types are perfect!
Love From Bangladesh ❤️
Nice Cory cat fish
Very nice little fish👍
Those rocks were so pretty I would have transferred them to the big tank.
so sad :(
Add some arching wood structures for them to hide under and have shadowed spaces. Definitely add some floating plants, OR add some plants with leaves that reach the surface and float on the water. Lilies and crinums come to mind That too will add shady areas.
Some lily's would actually look pretty dope!
Recently got ember tetras after watching your videos. I love them!
I love this
Thank you for a great Video! Can't wait for the 'New build'!!! :)
Love this tank 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼

@@MJAquascaping Hello Holand :)
I can't believe that i went NO NO NO DONT DO IT !!!! .. .. he did it ..he took it apart ..
Its okay you need to make something new :) we all do it .. but damn ... it was a really nice one :)
Love your videos

If you find any aspidoras, i advise you to get them. They're only slightly bigger than the three dwarf cory species, a lot less skittish and have much more interesting behavior. Especially aspidoras pauciradiatus are very underrated and their true beauty is almost never captured on pictures/videos.
Im not an expert on cory's but with the experience i have had with them they tend to only show themselves if they have a big sand area to swim on. And in fully planted tanks that i have had i never see them for some reason. Might be because the like sifting through the sand for food and other things.
Yup! I have a large sand area for my corys, and they're always out foraging and swimming around. They're actually more active during the day when I turn the light off the huddle together and rest. Sand and plants are what mine seem to like.
I have many groups of pygmaeus and they are mostly more outgoing whilst young. I only have a few adults that are extrovert otherwise they just like cover. Habrosus are very outgoing but even they don't seem to comfort Pygmaeus.
More floating plants
Looked to nice to brake down.
I enjoyed this video very much, it was great to see this tank from day 1 but everything comes and goes, Well done i appreaciate your videos, i do not plan on going anywhere! 😁😁
Ripped my favourite tank of yours 😭😭😭
But i am excited what will happen
I don’t know if you’ve addressed the noise issue yet but have you tested the db with the door closed then adding some of the foam you use for the aquariums base on the door of the cabinet?
Maybe the CO@ might have something to do with skidishness, but i dought it.
On the tank you took down. What is growing on the 2 main rocks and how did you do that.
Phoenix moss! This is how ruclips.net/video/ZhctMZb_ue4/видео.html
Put the fissiden stones into the shallow too!
That BBA starts to grow again :o
Has probado a parar filtros y darle con agua oxigenada y una jeringa 💉 al alga pincel de las rocas? Saludos

after you do a rescape, where you put all the shrimp at? is it ok to leave them in the bucket like that?
Yeah they will be fine in a bucket for a few days. 😊
Hi. Wonderful fish. Do you happen to have fish jump out of an aquarium?
Pygmy corys hate other fast moving fish. That's the reason they're hiding.
Hey man. this tank is what got me started on fissidens. Currently have a great shrimp tank full of it. I have a different species of fissidens in my tank and i would love to have some of yours to start a new scape. Im also from the Netherlands, so if you happen to got some of it left i'd gladly buy it from you.
Hey Thijs! Stuur me ff een DM op insta of FB met je adres 👍
Yup. That tank pushed me to get back into nano tanks and fissidens particularly. Grateful for the inspiration.
hastatus are so hard to find!! no one sells them in canada
those green little fish are Microdevario kubotai?
No I don't have any Microdevario kubotai! I think you either mean the Gold ring danio's or the Pseudomugil gertrudae
@@MJAquascaping I think it must have been the Danio#s the way the light hit them they looked green thx
If you're selling those Bucephalandras, I'm buying. Haha.
Hey, I was just wondering what would be better for a Dutch Style Planted Tank; ADA Aqua Soil OR Amazonia Light? I already have Amazonia light in one of my tanks, so i will reuse that if you say that Amazonia Light will be better. Or else I will get ADA Aqua Soil. One thing that i can do is reuse the old aqua soil (like clean if and then bake it and when putting it in the tank, add additional fertilizer to compensate for the nutrients that i lost previously) by like using that as the base with root tabs becuase it is old and then I'll put the new soil in. But that might mix the soil which might be a problem. So if you say to go with ADA Aqua Soil then I'll just get more of it.
if you don't mind the extra work of reusing old soil then just go with that! Add some root tabs and you are good to go 👍😊
@@MJAquascaping Okie Thanks! But like I will need some.more soil since the tank will be bigger, so should i just add more of Amazonia Light or should i add a different one on top?
I bought two and they already laid eggs. How have they done population wise???
You were worried about mixing them for no reason because at 3:53 (top of the school, the only one with stripes) you already had one corydora pygmaeus with that school of corydora hastatus
Yeah that's an old clip, I removed that one a few days after I got them
@@MJAquascaping Ohh well goodluck with the tank anyways
Wanneer komt er een update video over de dirted tank experiment uit? Echt een pracht aquarium!! 👍👍👍
snel!
Do you have problems feeding the pigmy? I have 10 but Mine are shy and don't seem to compete for food.
Класс 👍🏻
3:25 what fish is that
MJ, would you please provide the brand of the light over the tank? Thank you from Denver
Hey! It’s the Skylight Hyperspot 😊👍🏻
@@MJAquascaping Thank you so much! 👍🏻☺️
Hello I have a doubt I am going ot get a 2meter or 135g tank what aquarium light should I use( its going to be medium-high planted)
(No CO2) for 120 euros
There is a fun to destroy a scape 😆😜 i really enjoy that one time with my previous scape
I’ll buy it and pay for shipping.
какой размер?
It was so painful watching you rip apart that beautiful tank >.
👍👍👍😍😍😍
Do you ever keep betta?!!! My betta keep nipping it's fin.. I don't know what to do
No I had a betta twice, and they both died pretty quickly, so I'm a bit scared to have another one
Watching you destroy my favourite tank on RUclips was gut wrenching.
Shrimp don't really do that well in co2 tanks.
Hi nice video 👍🏼what's your light intensity in your red plants tank ?
Intensity of Red , green, blue ?
Everything on 100% 😁
Thanks for the reply
hi, could you say name of this fish (3:27)?
Dario black tiger or Dario sp Myanmar
I seriously couldn't understand why you took a beautiful and stable tank apart
Stable also means stagnant. An old scape gets boring. With boredom comes lack of interest, lack of lust to care for it. Thus the scape and it's inhabitants will suffer. Realising when it's time to move on is wonderful. Remember this is "scaping", not merely creating an aquarium you never touch again.
What don’t get rid of that moss rock anybody would love to take that off you!!!!
I wanted to hit the dislike button just for the dismantle of this beautiful aquascape...
