BEAUTIFUL Low-Tech BETTA nano tank aquascaping TUTORIAL (mini pond style) & betta feeding

- This is my ADA45F mini pond betta low-tech aquascape. I decided to set up this tank for my betta fish. I name him "Galaxy", because of the beautiful Galaxy pattern in his eyes (Check my Instagram account for macro shot of his eyes to see this unique pattern). I did not want to keep him in any other tanks because of the temperature is much lower. I also wanted to create a mini pond like aquascape with minimum plant maintenance and to allow lots of emersed plant growth as the scape matures.
I want to prove that a beautiful aquascape can be created without the need of additional CO2.

I think thats what my betta is gonna look like. I rescued him from a pet store on the brink of death and im currently nursing some real bad fin rot on him. His color is starting to come back now and im noticing the same pattern of red on his lower fins like yours has. Great video!

Nice work, The trick was plant selection. Good job at that. Learnt over the years that if we choose low demanding plants (low light, no co2) that way, we have low tech (no co2) and no algae (low light). If we choose the plants that needs this and we give them what they need, we get such a beautiful tank, a happy Betta and a proud owner like we see here :-)

Here are some tips which i hope would be useful for you to grow your channel ~
1) Thumbnail photo ~ That beautiful photo is what made me click on your video. The photo has got to grab attention to make viewers want to click on it to check it out
2) The title of your video ~ This is something you need to take note off because when viewers type in words to search for videos on RUclips, you would hopefully want your videos to pop up near the top of the list
3) Make great content/videos ~ Your content is great....... So be consistent and over the long run you will have a following. By consistent i mean consistent not only in the quality of your content but also regular uploads because that way RUclips's algo will be more likely to make "recommendation" on your videos to viewers. You don't need to make 3 or 4 videos a week. I've seen how RUclipsrs upload 1 good video a week and over time it slowly gained traction and before long, the subscribers just skyrocket in a short period of time
4) Enjoy what you're doing (the journey/process) and don't get too stressed out with the statistics/numbers while trying to grow your subscribers. People are usually at their best when they're doing what they love.

I'm no expert here, so I might be wrong, correct me if I am. But I believe this tank will do really well without injection of CO2 into the water, because your most demanding plant are or will grow partially outside the water, and there is naturally way more CO2 in the air than in the water. You've a good lighting too, so I guess they will grow very well. With only one fish and so many plant, I'm not even sure you need a filter tbh, your plant will take care of the little amount of ammonia you betta will create ^^

I loved the tank. In my opinion the most beautiful I have seen so far of a betta fish. I'm interested in whether you do weekly water changes for him or do you change his water at all?

To answer your question, Betta's are naturally hunting and feeding on insect and small crustaceans. I can also see that he is sometimes very curious and has a tendency to chase them. Fortunately there is plenty of hiding spaces. 😉
Absolutely wonderful.. I was planning on doing a Shrimp only tank, maybe with a few other small fishes with a similar layout. Kindly suggest if I use same tank size as yours will it work?

Thank you! 🙏 I will make sure to provide them with lots of cover, also the surface is full of floating plants. I also usually keep the water level lower, about an inch (2.5cm) from the top. I hope not to give him any reasons to jump. 😉
