Buy more Corys....and just get the rest of the male congo tetras .... you need a much larger school of Congos for that tank and 6/9 is a perfect ratio.
I can relate, I can't go into shops and browse. I have to phone in, order, walk in and sprint out. It's triple dangerous for me because I have decommissioned tanks that would take me 0 time to recommission, so the old "I don't have room" excuse doesn't work. My inner fish hoarder just reminds me "you have x spare tanks... remember."
@@MDFishTanks ... I just placed an order for 12 pseudomugil signifer on top of the 15 I already have and it's all your fault! Not really, I've been planning that for a while but I feel less responsible if I blame you. Keep up the outstanding work. Your tanks are an inspiration.
Used to work at MH Taunton. Matt and Martin are 2 of the most knowledgeable fish keepers and genuine people so if you need good advice I'd definitely recommend going there!
This is SO what happens in this hobby! You get some fish, you decide you can use more, you get more, they grow, of course they need their own tank, and before long your tanks start breeding! Love it! I love how you just go back the same day. I have made multiple trips to the LFS on the same day myself. Looking forward to more videos.
Similis are my all time favourite out of the affordable corys! The area at the tail becomes almost purple long term under good conditions. Glad that you spend them a propper amount of mates!🤗
I love that you went back to get more Cory! I picked up 5 for myself the other day and it is really cool to see you getting the same! I love them so far, so cute!
Speaking on that massive display tank with the rays and puffer at your LFS, recently I was thinking that I would LOVE to see you setup a 6 foot tank one day.
Bravo on getting more than 5 corydoras, my favorite fish and so many people get too few at a time; they'll do fantastic and be much happier in that big group--very happy for them, and you! Enjoy, cheers!
Another morning with MD and Colby ☺️ finally getting a canister filter for his tank this weekend and I'm so excited! Hopefully it will help with the waste problems that turtles have, I just wanna make my little dude happy 😁
Very cool lesson on the bards of Rays. Rip Steve Irwin. Love the videos MD, so informational and entertaining. You keep me chuckling the whole time. Keep it up. 👍🏻👍🏻
I absolutely love your enthusiasm! The way you describe your fish and your aquariums and the other joy when you discover a new fish is completely contagious. Keep up the great work! Your little Kili fish most likely survived on Mike roof Anna in the tank for that six months if you bring plants into a tank after a bit you will have all kinds of microphone growing and thriving in the tank enough for very small fish to thrive on almost without feeding🐠🦯
Great video and great choice on the corydoras. Smudge spots are great, i have kept and bred them for 10 years all the same group. Colder water changes will trigger breeding.
Oh my goodness, MD! If you had a tank that size I can just imagine the possibilities, it would be endless!! With you doing that tank, god .. It would be amazing no doubt!! Awesome vid love it! Keep up the awesome work! I wish we had a good aquatic shop in my hometown 😕
I’m so happy you were able to get smudgies! I love mine and I will definitely be snapping some up the next time I find them locally. I ordered my first ones online but they really don’t handle shipping well, only had 4 make it.
Been here since the start in the first shed 👍 be good to see some more jars and bowls I have 6 on my coffee table because of you ! 🤔 Growing you're own live food would be good to see I recommend starting with White worm cultures . Nothing better than a good fish shopping trip 👍
For the white betta's tank you could go for the elachys tetras. They are white with black tip on their tail so they will look great in there and they are as small as the ember tetras so the small tank should be fine
if you look hard enough there should be a good one near you. i have a local maidenhead aquatics and a smaller lfs with rarer nano species called sweet knowle aquatics
For the African tank, you should get leopard ctenopoma. They're absolutely beautiful fish. They max out at 8 inches, but it's rare for them to get bigger than 6 inches and average length is 5 inches. They would be a stunning addition for the tank and they aren't big enough to eat the congo tetras or kribensis
Going to the fish store with your wallet and a plan almost always equals blowing your "budget" and getting more than you expected. I remember it well. LOL. Great shopping trip MD. I would have gone for it if were me. Looking forward to more awesome scapes for your newest finds.
@MD_Fish_Tanks When you get the chance you HAVE to get a school of pygmy corydoras. These guys are super cute and absolute work horses. they also like schooling with other fish
About those bristle-nose plecos. As they grow up, they get quite big, angry and destructive. They eat plants (especially echinodorus plants), they burrow under decorations, they throw gravel everywhere and they are territorial among themselves and sometimes also among other fish. And they breed like crazy. To be clear. I do like mine, I have them from young and they are my "puppies". I just cannot stand their shenanigans. :D
